《God Slaying System》The Mysterious Man

It was currently nighttime in The Heavenly Domain. Most people were returning to their guilds and going into the bar to celebrate their full day of grinding.
Issac, after paying for his drink, took off to the recruitment area of Chaos Adventurer Team. It was being held at the city arena.
'Chaos sure looks rich. To even use the arena for its recruitment activities.' Issac thought.
Issac expected a lot of people to be waiting for the recruitment but, to his surprise barely about a 1000 people were there. After investigating for a while, his surprise turned to shock. The minimum requirement for even participating in the test was to be level 16.
Even after searching the whole of Blue Sky City, barely about a 100 people out of the 800,000 people staying there were level 16. And all these players could be considered elite who had been put to the core army of a guild.
And here Chaos was recruiting these elite players for their first division army?
Just what were the requirements for joining the core division army of this adventurer team ?
Issac sighed just by looking at the minimum requirement for taking the test. He currently was level 14, two levels below the requirement threshold. It was really hard to get to level 16. In the heavenly domain, the higher level one gets, the higher amount of exp one needs to gain in order to level up.
It was not that he could not win in a war against the Dominators guild as he was now. It was just that there was a huge difference between winning and thoroughly destroying a guild, making it never again be able to stand again.
The thought of the betrayal ran through the mind of Issac. His hard work and contributions for the guild, his mother's death all the past returned to Issac at that moment like a wildfire.
"No, I have to completely destroy them." He stated boldly with determination in his eyes.
Right then, a girl around who looked to be around the age of Issac approached the arena followed by a party of really powerful looking members.
She had a small but strong looking figure, was a little shorter than Issac, had blonde hair tied to a cute and charming ponytail and last of all had eyes that looked like an endless ocean that could mesmerize anyone.

Even Issac was startled for a moment before her.
"Hey look over there!! Isn't that Goddess Etna? The vice leader of Chaos Adventurer Team?"
"Huh? Woah!! Looks like you're right. Is she here to watch over the recruitment this time?"
"I never expected to see the beauty, the goddess herself with these eyes of mine. Oh!!! That heavenly gaze of her. She really is the most beautiful, isn't she?"
"Not only beautiful. Did you not hear? She was the one with the most kills of the enemy guild in the war against Starfish. I heard that even the core members of Starfish ran away just by watching her brutally murder their members. No one stood a chance against her."
"She really is the best. All hail Goddess Etna."
Issac got confused looking at the situation before him. All these people freaking out over the girl who looked to be around his age.
'Is she really that amazing?' A question ran through Issac's mind.

"Look Etna your followers are here cheering for you. Ahh!!! Wish I was as amazing as you." The girl beside Etna who was similar to her in many ways teased her.
"Oh please don't joke around Taki." Etna said with an irritated look on her face.
"Huh? I am just stating the truth. Isn't that right, Goofy?" Taki looked towards Goofy, encouraging him to keep up the topic.
"Well to be honest you are right about it but, we are not here for that reason right now. We have to look after the recruitment today and also have to recruit anyone who looks capable enough for joining our party." Goofy said with a serious look on his face.
"Bleh!! You are no fun at all Goofy, serious about work as always. Do you even have fun, ever? It is just a waste of time if we are looking for a new member for big sis Etna's party. I have looked around and found one guy named Deteroy who is said to be an amazing Berserker player of Lecburgh. But, even he is not strong enough to work with us." Taki sighed as she said it was just a waste of time for them.

"Don't shout around much Taki. We have to complete our job here and we don't even know everyone's abilities yet. Who knows we might have some unexpected encounter this time?" Etna said as a hint of excitement flashed in her blue deep ocean like eyes.

Issac also got a little interested in the girl before him.
'When this many people were praising her, she must be amazing. I think I should talk to her about the recruitment criteria. After all she is one of the vice leaders as I've heard.' Issac thought.
People were making a large way for Etna and her party to go inside of the arena. The scene looked as if a king was walking around in his territory.
But, one person just kept on standing in the middle of the path created for them. He didn't make even one simple effort to move aside. This player was none other than Issac. He currently wore the dark cloak he gained from defeating the wolf king and absolutely no one could see his face.
Heck, people could not even tell if it was a player or an NPC.
"Hey what is that idiot doing? Doesn't he know about the goddess or is he challenging her?"
"Really a great fool. Hey idiot move aside."
The other players who were beside the path created for Etna started shouting at Issac. Without a care for their voices, he just stood there without even moving an inch.
"Hey Etna, look in front of us. Looks like one of you worshipers is just too desperate to meet you." Taki teased Etna once more as she smirked.
Etna was also thoroughly confused by this situation. She had seen people praising her and giving her all sorts of credits.
But, this was the first time a person had come to meet her in front of such a huge crowd. Etna was a little interested to see what the person before her really wanted.
"Hey creep move aside. Can't you see we have work ahead." Kane, one of Etna's party members shouted as they arrived before him.
"Now, now. I really have some things to talk about with your party leader there." Issac said in a very funny and peculiar way. He was calm and composed even in front of all those people shouting at him.
Watching the person before him staying calm and telling him that he wanted to talk with his party leader, Kane was thoroughly enraged.
"Do you really think that anyone can meet and talk with our party leader just by saying they want to? She has better work to do than meeting around with creeps like you."
"Hey, hey. I am just saying, there is nothing to get so enraged over this, is there?" Issac said as if he enjoyed this situation before him.
That was it.
Kane lost all his cool as a dark expression started to appear on his face. Even the people watching from the sides could feel the blood lust from Kane. They all unconsciously stopped chattering and for once silent filled the whole area.
"Wait! Kane you should not fight with any person you meet on the streets. Leave him be." Etna said as she looked towards Issac with excitement in her eyes. She really appreciated the courage of Issac for standing calm in all this situation.
She felt that the man before her was not as simple as she thought.
"Well then why don't we talk on the inside of the arena? This place may be a little inappropriate." Etna said as she guided the way for the mysterious black cloaked person before her.
"Well sounds all good to me." Issac started following Etna ignoring Kane and acting as all that had never even happened.
Even after a moment they entered inside the arena, the whole place was dead silent.
"He went in just like that ?"
Suddenly, the whole place was shaken by the situation that just unrolled before their eyes. They couldn't really comprehend what had happened.
The whole game forums was flooded by the talk about the mysterious dark cloaked person that they saw in front of the arena. This news even made the news about the recruitment of Chaos look like it was nothing.

Where Giants Fall
A fantasy LitRPG about traversing through worlds and slaying giants with nothing but a wooden suit and an army of treants. Nicholas Atkins didn't expect to wake up naked in the glowing woods. What he did expect was waking up to a hangover after last night's party- fortunately, that wasn't the case. Unfortunately though, he had worse problems to take care of than a headache. At first he blamed it on the alcohol; from what he recalled in Biology, glowing flowers didn't exactly exist in the realm of reality. However he was as sober as he could be, so next he blamed the drugs, but there was a problem- he didn't have the money to do drugs in the first place. When the fairies came, things became even weirder. Talks of climbing towers, magic tricks, and dinner were all on the table. Of course, dinner was the priority, but so was getting back home. However slowly, Nico realized that he might actually want to stay in this fantasy world. After all, he's had enough listening to Professor Paul's lecture on calculus- the swords and sorceries were just an added bonus. Still, staying in this new world has its own costs- and money is but one thing on that long, long list. Updated everyday except Saturday GMT+8 (Specific time varies by around 30 minutes). 8 84Midthalion Saga
+++Working on new chapters. Share what I've posted with your friends and family! Be sure to build strong bonds with those who are important to you. We only have each other in this world for so long!+++ Can Roderick XXIII gather together and train a party of adventurers to clear out Madeon Caves and bring peace to the wildmarches of Midthalion? Sent from his home monastery in the west to the wildmarches of Midthalion, Roderick the Holy Avenger is devoted to living out his oath to bring the Holy Light to the dark corners of the world. He enlists the help of an old friend, Ulrich Vogelbrandt the dwarf druid, to train and prepare a fighting force capable of defending the west from the evil they both see gathering and growing in the east. Eoroth is an ode to Tolkienesque epic fantasy, Robert E Howard and H.P. Lovecraft's pulp fiction, and Gygaxian Dungeons & Dragons. I like to write about serious topics because I think it's fun. I hope it makes for a fun read. Place: Eoroth, a vast, flat world with many continents set in oceans that reach out and mingle with the Celestial Sea. Our story takes place on the continent of Thalion in the middle, unsettled region called Midthalion. Peoples: Races in Eoroth aren't different species; the species of man is just incredibly diverse, consisting of many known races (and perhaps some unknown). There are no humans in Thalion. Thalion's races include variations of elves, dwarves, halflings (billowits), pierros (clownish men), bergeracs (long-nosed and swarthy men of honour), orcs, trolls, goblins, and hobgobs. The Church: There's one dominant religion in Westhalion. The faith of the elves is an analogue to Roman Catholicism while the dwarves practice an Eastern Orthodox analogue. (Forgive me for not having figured out names yet.) The practitioners worship a triune god (the All-Father, Son-of-All, and Holy Light). There are many powers in heaven, all created by God. These include the Twelve High Thrones, individual, created beings who take on the role of guiding mankind in different aspects, drawing them closer and closer to God. (That should be the essentials. I could write pages on the theology. Comment where something's unclear in the story.) Natural World: There are plants and animals in Eoroth, but the world is also inhabited by spirits called aeons. Aeons are transformative beings; in the wild, they'll change based on whatever is happening nearby. Pollute a pond? Expect to see toxic toad-men running around. Leave a bunch of dead bodies strewn across a battlefield? Expect the place to become haunted with ghouls and ghasts. Druids are important for making sure that the aeons are pacified; that their needs are met so that they don't become rampaging monsters. Where the wilderness becomes overgrown, so too do the aeons. Aeons and People: Long ago, men learned how to trap aeons in stone tablets and use them for war. Now, anyone can capture an aeon into a special staff made by a druid. Men train, raise, and bond with these aeons. Druids often build entire ranches devoted to raising healthy aeons as allies and companions. Aeons are divided into twelve known families, and the church sees these as corresponding with the Twelve Thrones in Heaven. Direction: My goal is to get the story to one million words by June next year. I have tons of content in mind for the world. I want to release novels set in different ages of the world depicting different historical events. I hope to expand the setting into a tabletop role-playing game as well as a series of old-school JRPGs. But, it all begins with writing some stories and publishing my novels.
8 232I Have Even Read the Rulebook!
As all stories begin, Prof died. Yes, truck-kun had something to do with that, but also a bird, a cat and some rebar. When he was presented with with the opportunity in the Afterlife Administration Bureau to be transmigrated into a game-like fantasy world, he did something, no one ever did: he read the Rulebook. Follow Prof on his road to be rich without working, touring a whole new world without a care and witness his realisation, that despite having read the Rulebook the folks living with the System for untold millennia know more about the rules. Important notes: 1, I'm not a native speaker, so be prepared for occassional typos, iffy grammar and maybe awkward sentences. The spell check was running, when I wrote the chapters, but it works in strange ways... If you point out mistakes, I will try to correct them 2, Scheduling will be two chapters a week, posted Saturdays before noon (CET). Depending on how much new chapters I can write consistently there will be probably more but as long as I have leftover chapters, the two per week will be posted no matter what. Chapters will be around 1500-2500 words as MS Word counts it. 3, I did not and will not post this novel on another site, if you find it somewhere else, please inform me 4, The Main Character's progression is slow, there will be no Levels, Skills, Abilities, Feats, Perks and Cheat Powers raining down on him 5, I've put Comedy as a genre because of my writing style not because the novel is a comedy per se. On the other hand, Traumatising Content is there because there is a lot of speciesism - those Elves are not nice people. 6, I put a lot of pop-cultural references into the chapters, try to find them! Enjoy!
