One of the first creatures to be made into Gaia was Ouroboros, the humongous black scaled dragon. He was the first of the dragons and his descendants have continued being the rulers of the dragon race for a million years, even to this present day. Along with Verenilus and Jörmungandr, they ruled the planet in its early stages. All of them, bigger than mountains in their real forms had to shrink themselves so as to not destroy the terrain. After the addition of the other 11 races, their territories were decreased to make space for them and the three races : the Titans, the Leviathans and the Dragons were named Jormunds meaning "Guardians" and as such the Titans became guardians of the earth, Leviathans the oceans and the Dragons the sky respectively. Their strengths were unfathomable for the other major races which led to them being either feared or worshipped, which was until the events leading to Heaven's Rebellion.

Of all the Jormunds, Ouroboros was feared the most because of his huge and frightful appearance as well as his aura. Due to this among the 11 other races, only three (Faeries, Eathra and Demons) interacted with them. While the other Jormunds were receiving massive amounts of tributes, the Dragons received little amounts compared to them. And due to this, some of the dragons got angry and decided to wreak havoc on the other races. This further strengthened the other races beliefs of the Dragons being violent creatures. During this time, the Language of Gaia still wasn't implemented and each race had their specific language. The Dragons along with the other two Jormunds used telepathy to speak using the Ancient Language because their vocal chords let out different sounds when actually spoken. As such, to the other races the Dragon's expression of their anger sounded like devastating roars to them. Not all Dragons were in favour of such attacks, as such the Dragons had a fallout, one side led by Ouroboros who were against such attacks and the other led by Zmey Gorynych, a snake like Dragon with three heads and seven tails who supported such attacks. Although at first it was just arguments between the two groups it quickly resulted in a civil war. Entire mass of lands would be destroyed in their battles, countless innocent lives lost. The Ouroboros group were at a disadvantage as they separated themselves into two groups, the war group and the protection group who would protect the other races from the attacks of the other group of dragons. The other Jormunds also responded quickly, however were also quickly dragged into the civil war. The Titans siding with Ouroboros and the Leviathans siding with Zmey Gorynych. However due to their roles as guardians of the planet, they all came to an agreement after convincing Zmey to take their battles to unpopulated lands. As such, the titans broke several parts of the Earth while the Dragons and Leviathans moved them creating a whole new continent. Before there was one massive continent and it was due to this that the present world looks the way it does.

This new continent was unnamed and only after 30 days of fighting did the first ever war ended. With the victory of Ouroboros and the Titans, both sides suffering massive losses. The Titans were reduced to a mere 500, the Leviathans to 357 and the Dragons to 202. After this they signed/made a pact to never wage war against each other and also decided to separate the lands equally among each other.

Although the Dragons were still feared as expected, some of the races started opening up to them which also led to the formation of the formidable and well-known group called Dragon Bloods, consisting mainly of the Giants and Orcs. They were a powerful force but we're wiped out during the "Heaven's Rebellion".

It was peaceful for a millennium, and then it happened. Angels were sent to Gaia by Jehovah to monitor the Jormunds due to their war. After a few hundred years, they had become corrupted by the mortal characteristics such as emotions and started interbreeding, especially with the Humans. Most of them became power hungry and started forcibly taking over several countries. During the 1000 year period of peace, the relationship between the Jormunds and the other races had declined rapidly to the point where only the 'fanatic' groups communicated with them. As such the Jormunds had stopped aiding the other races and would only intervene in scenarios which endangered the planet as a whole. As the Angels territories expanded, there also increased opposition. And among the 'fanatics', only the Dragon Bloods intervened. They had managed to kill several angels, and one archangel. And due to this, the Dominions intervened and massacred most of the Dragon Bloods, only a few were left and all of them went into hiding. Due to this Ouroboros declared war against the Angels. This sparked the rebellion against the Angels even more with an increase in such events of opposition. As such, with the help of the Dragons several lands were regained. Legions of angels were slain along with 3 other archangels and 3 of the 5 Dominions. As the Cherubims were busy dealing with Seraphim in Heaven, only 3 of them came to help. However these three backups had trouble fighting against Ouroboros and devised a plan to brainwash him. In order for this to succeed, he had to be mentally unstable. Therefore they targeted his close friend, Ragnolia the first Human emperor and his family, and although Ouroboros sent 2 Dragons to guard him, they were killed and Ragnolia and his family were also killed; their heads displayed from the palace balcony. News of this reached Ouroboros quickly and he became enraged; one of the Cherubims had shapeshifted into one of the Dragons and brought him the message. And immediately seizing their opportunity, he teleported his other two friends and casted 'Divine Emptiness', erasing his entire memory and implanting new ones and also increased his emotions tenfold. They quickly escaped and Ouroboros, filled with intense emotions went berserk. He immediately destroyed his residence and flew out causing chaos. The other Dragons tried their best to stop him, but to no avail. Several dragons had fallen by his hands and the Dragons now without their king, stopped helping altogether. After destroying the countries of Mille and Denos, Ouroboros stopped and he decided to rest with his destruction in his real form, towering like a mountain. According to legend, it was during this that he flew to space and ate one of the suns which is why there is only 1 sun now. Although this is probably just over exaggeration by bards and storytellers.

It was a year later, that he had his encounter with Lionheart. During his fight with a Dominion and his legion of angels, Lionheart came into contact with Ouroboros who was currently asleep. Their fight woke him up and enraged, ate several angels making the rest retreat. Although he had heard of a human fighting equally and even killing Angels, he did not believe such claims but this encounter proved him wrong. He quickly engaged in combat with the human and after 5 mins of combat, realized his huge form was only a disadvantage for him and decided to turn in his humanoid form. The brainwash spell had started slowly wearing off. As such he had a quick conversation with the man, who for the first time he could fight with equally. From their short conversation he understood who the man before him was and asked him,"Can you do me a favour? Although I would likely fight back due to my current condition, can you kill me?" to which the man simply nodded. He bowed down and as Lionheart was about to cut his head off, the spell intervened and turned him back to his dragon form and a heavy battle ensued. Luckily, Lionheart had casted a barrier to reduce their damage to the surroundings and after 24 minutes, their fight finally ended with his head hanging from Lionheart's hand.

Although throughout his life, he had positive intentions towards others, due to unfortunate events/circumstances he is to this present day remembered as a Dragon of chaos, destruction. And now, only two people know him as he truly was back when he was alive.
