《Starsign Lord》Starsign Mystery - Chapter 4

Fraus Deepheart finally reached the city of Blue-Bird. For someone who lived in the village, it was a big place to see.
It was historical, at least for him; he was, after all, from Earth.
As he entered the city, he started to look around with a big smile on his face. It was clear from his face that he was a newcomer to the city.
People around us were working, touring, and some were drinking and eating outside in cafes with large courtyards.
Fraus nodded, and then he stopped a young man who was around the age of 15 to 16 and asked him to
"Do you know "Star Place"?"
Star Place was the name of the temple that people found for their "Starsign" and "Pathways". The name itself never changed, and in every big city, the temple was named "Star Place."
The young man nodded and then answered with a kind voice.
You'll see the big place in ten minutes, and you won't be able to miss it.
Fraus thanked the young man and then started walking towards "Star Place."
As he was walking, he still looked at the buildings and other humans from time to time. Of course, he noticed that many of the people were happy.
There were people with low incomes and no houses, and some of them even had kids with no father or mother to look after them.
Fraus just took a deep breath and did not think about the matter too much.
He knew people who were homeless and lived on the streets; even with all of the technology on the planet, there were still people living on the outside without a home or a job to care for themselves.
As Fraus was walking, he finally noticed the place he was looking for. A big sign was written on the entrance of the palace: "Star Palace." Fraus smiled as he entered.

The place was pretty normal, with a big courtyard, small ponds of water, and different kinds of beautiful flowers.
As Fraus entered, a woman who looked about the age of 25 stopped herself and started talking with a smile on her face.
"Hi, mister, why are you here in the Star Palace?"
The woman had blonde hair with white hair. It did suit her, and she wore a white outfit and looked pretty.
Fraus looked at the woman and smiled as he answered.
I am here to find my "Starsign" and "Pathway."
The woman nodded and made a sign with her hand that meant "follow me."
Fraus then followed the woman, and about two minutes later, they had already passed the courtyard and entered a small room.
In the small room, there was one circular-shaped wooden table and two basic wooden chairs. On top of the table, there was a sphere with blue light glowing on it.
At that time, a woman started speaking.
Please sit down and put your hands on the blue globe. Keep in mind that it costs 10 copper for you to know "Starsign" and another 10 copper coins to find the pathway.
Fraus just nodded and then sat down on the chair. As he sat, the woman sat on the other chair.
He then took a deep breath and put his hands on the "Blue Sphere."
As he put his hands on, he felt weird in his mind, and after about one minute later, feeling weird euphoria inside of his mind and body, he started to see different kinds of words manifested just in front of his eyes.
At that time, he had already stopped touching the "Blue Sphere".

Shadows in the Dawn Mist
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] - Winner November 2020 When a young woman is lured back to her homeland for the opportunity of a life time, she must face old fears. But never would she think that facing up to her past would change everything. Is History written by the victors, or by someone or something else...? *** I started writing this a few years ago and eventually fell out of love with it. I never finished it and my newer books are being written in different writing style, and genre with a more planned process. I decided to revisit it for the writathon and found that it wasn't as hopeless as I'd come to think. Hopefully, I've improved as a writer since them so the consistency may vary. Its been good to revisit and analyse my writing which I feel used to have some clunky and obvious dialogue which I'm trying to fix. This will always be my first novel and I hope, with a little exposure, I may come to like it again. Thanks for reading!

Daily life of a cultivation judge
Tired of those cultivators who think it is righteous to eliminate a sect or clan root and stem all in the name of revenge and avoiding future troubles, fights over treasures that end up destroying cities with no consequence whatsoever to the culprit, these psychos whose aim for the peak always involves a trail of carnage and bloodshed in its wake for some reason. Then look no further than the daily life of a cultivation judge. Yang Qing, is a young genius cultivator from a low-tier family whose only safe choice to get resources and hopefully lead an easy life led him to the courts of the Cultivation Order Society. Author’s disclaimer: Hey there this is my first novel so any criticism will be well taken though beware I’m a million-year-old monster who has cultivated the way of the sword to the peak. The daily life of a cultivation judge will be true to its name so it will be heavily on the slice of life lane with a bit of action here and there.Meaning we will see the life of Yang Qing when he clocks in and out. Hopefully, it will be one of those novels you read if you need to relax or are in a slacker mood like one of those otakus who listen to the noises of cicadas in the summer famously used in most animes. And it is in the slacker spirit that chapter release will be on Wednesday,Thursday and Friday. Sank yuuu Cover art by Conny Schneider on Unsplash
