Chapter 13 released.....

*Sigh*…….i got this unlucky thing happens too me…..about yesterday promise, there should be 2 chapter (12 & 13) + Side chapter.

But it’s all gone. Argh…even thinking about it make me so depressed. I write all 3 chapter at the google doc, but i don’t really know what the hell happen, after i went back to my home, I open my laptop and check my google drive, IT’S GONE. JUST LIKE THAT. IT SO DEPRESSING THAT I FEEL LIKE KILLING MYSELF. IT’S WORTH OF 3 CHAPTER OH MY GOD….ARGH……

I manage to get some the ideas back in the chapter 13 and write it back after eating a basket of ice cream. ARGH….DAMMIT……..THIS PISS ME OFF SO MUCH….

Chapter 13

With her horns, I could tell that she is already above level 20. That is normal. Because Dragonborn start to grows up their horns starting from level 20. But, I never heard anything about broken horn!?

The female Dragonborn in front of me has a green messy hair, up to her shoulder. She has bloody red eyes with a dragon pupil. All Dragonborn has this kind of eyes, including me. And her horns….it has a dark turquoise color, and has some chipped part around it. If she is not wearing a receptionist uniform and wear high level equipment, she might look like and ancient Dragonborn. She has this mighty aura around her with some leisure element. Her face, rather than calling her a beauty, it’s better to call her fair.

“Oi, how long are you going to keep staring at me?”

“Eh!? Ah sorry!”

Unbeknownst to me, it seems I have keep staring at her for quite a time. Damn, that was embarrassing. But I just can’t stop staring at her horn.....Is it possible for horns to be broken?

"Uhm....may I ask you something?"

"Huh, what?"

She sure doesn't waste her words. I doubt she still in her early age, with this kind of attitude, she maybe an irresponsible adults huh..... Maybe her age is around 30?

"You......aren't you thinking something really rude about me?"

"Of course not! How could I!?"

Woah, she has a mind reading skill like Reina! She may be good match to her.....

"Che, if you dare to think something rude again, I'll stop your pending request."

Aren't you a worker here!? And aren't I the customer, the one who always right!?

Eh? Why does it name sounds so serious? I hope it isn't going to be a difficult quest....

I should thank the receptionist first.

"Huh, why the hell, are you thanking me, it's my work. Whatever."

Yikes, why does she have to be so mad? I'm just showing my gratefulness......*sob*

Ah about her horns...

"Miss could i ask-"

"Liza."

"Eh?"

"Call me Liza, what's up with the "miss", drop it, I'm not that old you know."

Liza huh, that sure sounds like a common name.

"If you said so Liza-san, then may I ask you something?"

"Hrm, what is it?"

"It's about your horns."

E-eh.....can't you just share little bit informations. We're both Dragonborn you know.....With her temperament, I don't think she will even budge....

After that, I went back to Reina and Akai. They're waiting for me while eating a kebab. I don't what's in it, but it has a deep red color. And Akai's face is red like it can explode at any moment.

Huh, it must be Reina's fault.

"What're you guys eating?"

"Mmmph......nom….nom…..*sob*"

Uwah, she's crying.....well if she followed Reina's preference, she must have a big gut. Reina has a weird kind of tongue, she enjoy spicy stuff. And mind you, not a "normal" kind of spice. It has to be at least at the level of a dragon breath. Even I can't beat her when it comes to spicy food.

"It's not my fault, she's the one who want to order the same as mine."

"You know....you can at least warn her before..."

Not like it matter anymore, she already ate it after all. It's fortunate she order an iced coffee. Even I can't help her in this situation.

"You okay?"

"Y-yeah.......uu....my tongue burns...."

Anyway, because V.W.C uses our nerves data to enter the Virtual World, we can use all of our five senses, though pain can only be felt a little. This allows us to taste anything in this world, so there is many kind of food that we can try in S.O. And there is a Job that is specializes in that field, it’s called “Chef”. This Job can support players by creating a variety of dish that will give players many kind of buff. This Job is pretty popular right now.

"Well you guys done? We're going to the to meet the head of the guild there. This quest is called [ Crisis of Laghad Lake ], as you guys heard it's name, it probably not a normal quest. So brace yourself."

"Not normal means more treasure."

"Well, we can say that too. Though with our level not normal means dangerous. Got it?"

"Hmph....whatever."

"Got it!"

And now, we're in the lobby. What can I say, it's look really elegant than The Guild. And it's quite crowded by people with different kind of races. Most of them had this aura of salesman, it scared me a little.

"Good afternoon sir, may I ask, what kind of help do you need?"

What a difference from Liza-san. Even though they both female, I can sense a big realm of difference between their attitude. And she is a wood elf with blonde hair and has a beautiful pair of almond eyes. She's look quite bewitching.

*killing intent*

W-wha!? What's that!? I turn my back, and saw Reina with her piercing eyes without even hiding her bloodlust. I get the feeling she want me to end this fast. I sense a danger will come, if I stayed here too long.

"A-ah, well we come here to meet with the head of this guild. It's regarding the quest that is posted at The Guild."

"Oh, is that so. Please wait for a while, I'll call the head now."

She went into the back room behind the counter. I wonder if only staff can enter there?

I turn back to Reina, and it seems she have already calm down. After a while, the female receptionist came back with an old man beside her. He looks quite old, but with that burly figure, he seems like an old mercenary with vast experience. And he have a very strict face with beard covered his chin. He doesn't really suit as a merchant.

"Oh, are you the one who applied for this quest?"

Even his voice sounds hoarse, he really doesn't suit as a merchant....

"Yes, my name is Luke, and the other two is my party members. We're called [ Jiyuu ]. Come on guys, introduce yourself."

"Y-yeah! My name is Akai. Pleased to meet you, sir!"

This isn’t a soldier camp Akai-chan.

"......I'm called Reina."

You can do better then that Reina.

"I see, well then, please follow me. We will discuss it throughly in the room."

Heh, I guess this is a private issue eh?

All of us except the female receptionist enter the room where she entered.

"Please sit on the couch first. I'll give a briefing about this quest first."

"Thank you."

Though his appearance is like that, he sure has a good manner. Are all merchants like this? I hope so.

"As you can see the quest's name, it's about the . There is a sudden arise of monsters around that area. Though at first it's only started by a small amount, suddenly there is a large amount of them after a few days. The village placed at the lake started to be attacked by the monster. But right now it still not very serious because there is some Evertia's soldier that has been dispatched. They can still resist the monster wave, but if the monster number increased, it will be bad for them."

"I see, then our job is too become reinforcement for them?"

If the area is still around Evertia, the monster level shouldn't be really high. And almost all the quest at the is set to be for the beginner. The highest level requirement should be around 25. Let just hope we don't have any bad luck for this quest.

"Ah yes, that is one thing, but what we want you to do is too support the villager to evacuate from the lake, in case there is no more hope for the village."

What a noble reasoning. Why does I always thought a merchant as a fat eating bribe person? I felt like I’m being influenced too much by light novel. I should lessen my dose from now….

"Got it. Is that all?"

"Before that, if you have any chance, please go into . We want you to investigate the ruin and report if there is anything wrong about it. There is some suspicion about the ruin and the sudden arise of monster is related to each other. But of course, please keep the villager as the main priority."

Ruin? Yosh, this will be fun. I really want to have an adventure in a ruin. Though, we have to be careful for the traps and monsters. Ruin tends to have a high level monster and Boss monster. It will be bad if we encountered them.

"Can we get a guide for where this placed?"

"It is placed at northern part of Evertia. From , just take the exit from the main gate and go to north. There should be a small forest that surrounds the lake. You should be able to notice it."

"Got it, well then thanks for your input sir?"

"Ah, please call me Madson."

"Then sir Madson, we will be going now."

"Yeah, I hope you will be successful, O brave adventurer."

Uwah, that sure sound like it comes from a drama's line. Still it felt kinda good to be called like that.

"Let's go guys~"

"I think we should get enough supply for this quest first."

After getting out from the guild, Akai suddenly said something surprising.

"Y-you have grown Akai.....I'm so proud of you!"

"What do you mean by that!?"

"This kind of progress, is quite surprising...."

"Not you too Rei-neesan!"

Since when did this girl become so close? I can't lose to Reina.

"Well, what you say is true. But first let see how much money we have with us."

Currency in Eternia is divided by three, bronze, silver and finally gold. Obviously gold has the highest value. For 100 bronze, you'll get 1 silver. While 100 silver is equivalent to 1 gold. The gold can be sold as real money to the other players. There some players who make money that way. Usually the best way to farm gold is by killing higher level monster who mostly drop more than 50 silver per kill. But sometimes if the players have a good luck, they'll obtain a color rank equipment or item that can be sold at high price at the Auction Site. It's like they're winning lottery.

Well after killing quite an amount of monster, I manage to collect 2 silver and 55 bronze. That’s quite enough for a beginner player like us.

"I got 2 silver and 55 bronze here, what about you guys?"

"I have 55 bronze."

Eh? I'm pretty sure she should at least have 1 silver.....

"How about you Akai?"

"Uhm......zero....."

Huh.....
