>> Two moons shine faintly in the purplish azure sky. On the morning of Summer Solstice, Botis walked in the wide meadow-like garden behind the castle.
Seven youngsters are standing, waiting for someone. Wearing black robe and cloak with a patch stich on it.
Each of them has different looks. Three boys and four girls divided accordingly.
“Good morning, everyone; I seem you all are here, huh?” he smiled. “It’s your class that we enjoyed to attend at, teacher!”
A cheerful greeting from a girl who has a slender body, and has risqué appearance speaks out. She has a purplish red, long hair and slit shaped eyes.
Her chest is quite big enough to ogle men from around as it exposed under the cloak. Also, a slender waist and thighs show on her short skirt.
“Asmodeus, your appearance seems more risqué than ever, huh?” Botis uttered to greet her.
“What now, teach? I’m from the Household of Luxuria, the bloodline of demon-succubus.” She mumbled and grins after. The boys beside her try not to drive their attention.
“Well, I believe you all are here. And a new student will join our class today.” Clearing his parched throat, Botis announced. One from the line of girls stepped forward and faces her class.
“Yes, teacher!” an eager young girl answered. She has a short, grey-ash hair and pair of horns on her forehead.
Her eyes are crimson in color and have pale colored skin. Around 16 years of age and wears a black cloak, the girl raises her hand.
“I’m Beelzebub from the Household of Gula and the new student under Magistrate Botis’s guidance.”
“Nice to meet you, Beelzebub... and from now, you’re on our care as your seniors. I’m Prida from the Household of Superbia.”
A fellow girl, around 17 years old greeted the young girl. She has a greenish-blue hair and pair of blue eyes.
A fair complex of skin tone shows up and petite body brimmed under the morning sun.
“Mammon here from the Household of Avaritia.” A man in his early 20’s, with a muscular shaped body and scruffy style hair dyed in crimson stated.
“Yes, senior Mammon and Prida, it’s a pleasure to meet you two! I’ve heard you are great mages who is in the rank of Queen Astarte.”
“It’s because our master is the Great Lich and one of the forefathers of this Kingdom. We’ve learned from him.” Prida answered with a smile.
Then, a child, preferably around 10 years old come forward to Beelzebub. A young boy, apparently, holds a huge rabbit on his hands full of stiches and a blue beret hat on its head.
“Here’s Tristitia from the Household of Acedia.” Mammon utters as he tapped the shoulder of the young boy. “I’m Loth, his doll... and I’m speaking to my master’s will...”
The doll blurted, as Beelzebub shunned from sudden happening. “Tristitia here is ventriloquist; his family runs a puppetry shop for witch craft.”
“Nice to meet you, elder sister... hope to get along with you...” waving its paw, Loth utters. Tristitia glances at the young girl.
“You’re so cute! I want to embrace you!” giggling over, Beelzebub widely opens her arms and embraces the young boy. He squirmed out of surprise but got used to it.
“All right, it’s my turn now.” Asmodeus stepped in and looks at the two. Tristitia jolted as he sees Asmodeus and quickly hide on Beelzebub’s back.
The young girl looked up from the person and shows a smile. “Asmodeus from the Household of Luxuria.” Curt and snobbish, that’s how Beel described the young demon.

“Yeah, nice to meet you.”
Botis chided in and he calls the last one. “Vangloria, Sartan...” he called. From the distance, two people wearing cloak and hood on their heads stands before them.
They both removed the hoods covering their heads and faces. Both young and beautiful in appearance, the two smiles at the rest of the group.
“Sartan from the Household of Ira and my cousin here, Vangloria will be assisting you, Beelzebub from the Household of Gula.”
Two persons, a male named Sartan and a female named Vangloria, both possessing the great power and under the level of Botis, the Lich.
“Ah, it’s a pleasure to meet you two, seniors!” Beelzebub bows down as she greeted the two.
“All right, everyone. Today, you will learn how to summon familiars to use in invoking magic.” Botis started. Sartan and Vangloria stands in front beside him.
“These two here are in their advanced course. Now, they will show you how to summon a familiar.”
Sartan raises his arm up. A magic circle appears on the ground where he stands. “O spirits of the Netherworld, heed your master’s calling... I summon you, Hidra!”
In a sudden, a glowing light appears on the magic circle and an image carved in. From the light, it slowly fades and sees the full body image of the summoned being.
“A giant salamander...” Beelzebub mumbled out of awe. A specie with sharp eyes and razor teeth on its maw; red scales glimmer and claws on its feet shows; and crown of horn as well, long tail. It is indeed a giant salamander and walked towards Sartan.
Vangloria made a pentagram from the air using her finger. “I summon you, Javi!”
From the air, a sudden shadow from nowhere flies up the sky. Its huge and magnificent wings almost covered the sun. Then, it landed on her arm, as everyone clamors out of surprise.
“It’s a demon bird...” Beelzebub utters. A splendid, black and shiny feathers glimmer under the sun.
“These are the familiar they summon according to their magic. Any specie would appear to you, and that will be your lifetime partner.”
Botis explained with firm on his voice. The five students heeded his explanation.
“After you do a summoning, you must make a pact to be their master. Taming them will be the next training for you...” he added.
The students nod from his words. “Now, as you are all here... let us start the training!”
Stomping his staff on the ground, rhombus shaped papers flies forward on each student with symbols drawn.
“Shed it with a drop of blood.” Botis instructed. The 5 students follow what Botis said. First is Mammon as he stepped forward. His eyes closed and hold the card on his hands.
In a sudden, a beam of light lurks on the paper.
Popping out of the paper is a small image. Covering in light, the image suddenly jumps off to the ground and sits in fours. Then, the light covering its body vanished.
“Whoa...” Beelzebub mumbled out of amusement. A pup wolf with horn on its head, wiggling tails and has grey fur look at Mammon. “You summoned a Hellhound, huh. Good work, Mammon.”
Botis smiles at him, as Mammon picks the pup. “You look cute but a little weak. But I’m happy you come to me as your master. From now, your name will be... Acia.”
The pup reacts on its name as it barks. Then, a symbol appears on its pair of turquoise eyes. “You have now completed the pact with him. He is under your care now.”

Sartan and Vangloria gave a soft applause on Mammon. Next, Prida stepped forward and holds the paper like Mammon does. Again, a light beamed over the carved symbol.
The symbol transfers to the ground and another being appears. As the light disappears, a big, bulk body sitting on fours stepped in. Thick black mane and sharped, deep, black sclera and red pupils gaze with fierce.
Its paw has sharp claws that can tear someone’s flesh. Its maw bares the fangs that can crush bones. An intimidating aura lurks on its body.
“Who called thee name...” opening its maw, the creature speaks. “A Werelion,” Mammon mumbled out of surprise. Even Botis, Sartan and Vangloria shunned from the being summoned.
“For a mage to summon a powerful being that no one can tame than the Demon King and Queen...” Sartan utters.
Beelzebub shunned; her legs start wiggling as Tristitia hides on her back.
“I am Prida from the Household of Superbia.” Prida speaks, with full of confidence on her voice. “A werelion, known for its pride and boastful behavior... you will be under my care now.”
The being known as Werelion look directly to her eyes. No one dares to look at it because it causes hallucination that can break someone’s mind and spirit.
However, Prida stretched her arms and reached to touch the mane of the being. Softly caress lands on its mane; its eyes close and purr sound lurks over its throat.
“I know thy will not give disappointment. I trust thee...” the being spoke gently. “Good... and I will take care of you, Hiron.”
On the back of her hand, carve of symbol appears. It’s an eye drawn in crimson and eventually vanished.
“Whoa, whoa...! That’s amazing!” Beelzebub clapped her hands while greeting Prida on her hard work. “Thank you.” Prida then smiles and bows on her.
“These students are promising to be a good Magistrate to stay by the Queen’s side...” Vangloria chided in as she looks at Botis.
“Indeed. I know these students change everything and bring prosperity to our realm.” Botis replied with a smile on his lips.
On the next part, Tristitia stepped in while holding the paper on his hand, while his doll, Loth hanging on the other side.
He then places the paper on the head of the doll and a sudden darkness succumbs over the kid. A few moments, on the place he stands, a black being holding a scythe on its hands appear.
“Lord Tristitia needs no one to stay by his side. I’m Loth, the demon who guards him to be the successor of the Household Acedia.” A scowl voice grunt as it speaks to everyone.
“The doll itself using as your familiar, huh? Using a medium like that to summon a vengeful spirit; as expected of the Household of Acedia...”
Asmodeus utter as she smirks. “Great job, Tristitia...” Mammon greets as he smile. His familiar, Acia barks to greet while wiggling its tail.”
“I’ll be the next one to summons the familiar.” Stepping forward, Asmodeus didn’t wait for the clamor to dissipate. She tears the paper into half and burns it with her magic.
From nowhere, a being suddenly crawled and wrapped on her body as everyone got astounded. Its head lurks with a long tongue, hissing around as she caresses its head.
Scales in gold and amber color glimmer like a gem, and pair of horns plucked on its head appear to be something bizarre to a common snake.
“My familiar, the dragon snake only the Luxuria Household can tame...” Asmodeus grins. “You already learned to tame it, and without using any summoning circles...”
Botis amused from what her student does. “Yeah, my Household has been in pact with the dragon snakes since. We won’t be tame any other familiars than them...”
Beelzebub looked at her classmates who successfully summoned their familiars and tamed them completely. The feeling of gladness, anxious and excitement to take something on her own fill her right now.
The Household of Gula are known to be one of the powerful magistrates that stand along the Demon King who fought for the harmony of this Kingdom.
“I won’t disappoint my dad’s high hope for me...” uttering to herself, Beelzebub clenched her hands tight.
“Good luck, Beel...” Prida smiles. Mammom, Tristitia and Vangloria smiles at her.
Pressure lures on her chest; Beelzebub starts to get fret from the expectation everyone is looking forward to.
“I need to concentrate...”she whispers. Closing her eyes, she starts concentrating to flow the power throughout her body.
Appearing from the ground is a crimson light formed in a magic circle. Gust of wind starts to blow; formation of dark clouds sudden covers in the sky.
Then, a voice suddenly whispers in her ear. “You will be the key to the bright future of this Kingdom. The one you will summon is the man who betrothed to marry the Queen...”
From that line, Beelzebub’s feelings suddenly quiver. On her mind forms an image of a man. Succumbing over the crimson light, he vanished.
Through the blinding light coming from the circle, everyone covered their eyes. “What an overflowing power!” Botis blurted. Gust of wind becomes a strong tempest.
It roars like a raging beast. Rustle of leave from the branches heard, screaming from the befalling.
Beelzebub feels the surge of her power coming out. It drained through her body. Yet, she felt no exhaustion at all. From there, she loudly shouts...
“I summon thee!”
Thick smokes arise and cover the whole surroundings. A large impact of sudden power release out, causing everyone stunned. Slowly, the gusting wind snuffed and the smoke disappears.
From the thinning smoke surrounding around, an image of unfamiliar being carved over. An eerie silence reigns.
Beelzebub waits for the dissipation of the smoke. From the magic circle faintly carved over the ground, feet, wearing bizarre thing on it lures on her view.
The smoke clears the area. Botis and the others then open their eyes to see what being Beelzebub summoned.
Instead of gladness, what they saw is something incredible that made them all turn into bafflement and wonder. “What... what’s this supposed to mean?”
Sartan blurted as his expression show surprise. Even Vangloria gave a stoned looks. Beelzebub, who stands before the thing she summoned, froze from what she saw.
A mere being that is trying to cover itself with its arms from something unnatural, wearing eccentric clothes and appeared to walk into two feet.
Semi-scruffy hair attached on it, and brownish colored skin. On its pinky finger is a red string attached, luring from the edge distance somewhere.
Preferably, a familiar is a mythical being that can capably hold magic as their master can provide. But now...
This is something beyond comprehension. What she just summoned is something no one has been done before in the history of Demon race...
“What...? You summoned... you summoned a human?” Mammon utters to her.
“It... It can’t be...?” stuttering from the sudden happening, Beelzebub mumbled.
Botis then stepped forward, as the human slowly felt that something’s not right. The arms covering him put down. He then starts to look around in wonder.
“A human... a human who will serve as the main key to unite the Human and Demon race; the one who is betrothed to the Queen...”
On the wondered feeling, the man looked around and sees the eccentric looks of everyone. His eyes feasts the fearsome looks, and from the fear surging inside him. He screams out of fear.

Fateless: The Silver Lining
It has been ten years of peace for the Union since the end of the great war with the eastern barbarian tribes, yet in the cold north of the Union's land, a new threat is looming. This time, an ambitious Lord is seeking to restore the yore pride of his kin, forcing the weakened Union into yet another unwanted war, as he ramps up the ranks of his army with thieves, murderers and mercenaries.* * *The temperature inside the forge was nearly twice as high as the one outside. A black-haired girl hammered a steel ingot into the shape of a blade. The heat of the steam was draining her stamina away, but her focus remained sharp as her sweat streamed down her face. Hit after hit, for hours, the sound of the hammering steel followed the rhythm of her breathing. Exhausted, she placed the blade into the water and wiped the sweat off her face using a drenched rag. Why are they screaming? Vatra dipped the rag back in the water, twisted it, and approached the window. Her mouth opened as her world shattered again into the living nightmare she had wilfully tried to forget. She bit her lips; it wasn’t a dream. The pulse of her heart rose. A cold sweat prickled her back. A mother was running, and a child was screaming. A torrent of smoke was emerging from the roof of her neighbour. Vatra’s eyes blinked. The mother lay on the ground, a spear through her back. A torch circled in the air and landed on the roof of her workshop. In the distance, a man wearing a banner well known to the world… Fateless is a philosophical medieval dark low fantasy centered on war, militaristic campaigns and geopolitical conflicts between multiple empires. This story follows the fate of Vatra, a former slave from the eastern Nar Empire who was raised in a culture far away from her own, forced into warfare against her will, and the fate of Lanaya, an ambitious half-angel exiled from her home whose existence is seen as heresy. As they wished for peace, both chose a path opposed to one another until their fate crossed. In this story where war dictates the law, love strikes them as a poisoned balm to which they grasp for with all their might, as it is in the darkest of times that the smallest flames may burn the brightest. * * * Tome 1 already completed and available on Amazon: https://www.amazon.ca/Fateless-Silver-Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot/dp/B09LGSH1KK Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/Hugo-Emmanuel-Simard-Wallot-100547579135891/ I will publish 1 chapter per week (sometimes 2 if the chapters are too short for my liking).

Modern Magic
A Modern Magician BookI looked up at the crooked holo sign while the perfectly bred woman read from a paper, a plastic smile glued to her face.'Welcome to The City,' she said in a fake voice. 'Once formerly known as New York, The City is a place filled with ancient and modern wonders. Remember, if you see any magicians please report to the nearest police station or Black Hand officer.'I smiled at the sign and then raised a single finger. No, not the middle one. A blue misty light spun from my finger and into the holo device. The message quickly changed from the fake woman to one of my own.'Welcome to The City,' the woman read, her hair now dyed a fuchsia. Her eyelids were a dark blue and her bottom lip and right eyebrow were pierced. 'A special message from Hecate, queen of magic.' The woman looked up at me, a smirk playing on her lips. 'Welcome to my city.'
