>> In a vast meadow I stand. Clear sky, with cirrus clouds dyed as the sun reaches the zenith.
A gentle, yet coolly gust of wind brushes my hair. Its freshness stuck in my nostrils. Small atop hills formed around the area as I started walking.
“Where is this place? Where am I?” Asking myself, my eyes wander on the surroundings. Alps clearly seen from the distance, and a clear wide lake reflects on the blue sky.
Exquisite scenery it is... but I can only see this through nature documentary or movies at all.
But, I found something bizarre from this place. Two moons appear clearly; spherical shape and its craters are finely seen.
Vivid hue of lime and shade of violet, that’s how I describe it.
My mouth agape from the surroundings; I never see this place before. “It’s like one of the desktop background available...” I utter in wonder.
From there, I started walking. Forward downhill where I stand, the rustle sound of grass heard under the soles of my shoes.
Lush trees forming a small forest from afar see through. The lush green gives freshness to my eyes.
“... You, over there...” from the distant, a voice called out.
“Who...?” I asked. “You, the man walking... come here...” the voice beckons. Turning my head sideways, I searched for the voice coming from somewhere.
I keep searching, but there’s no one appear to be here.
“Look on your pinky finger... seeks it; attached there is the string that leads to me...”
Once more, the voice speaks. “What’s that supposed to mean? I don’t remember something attached to my pinky finger—-“
Looking into my hands, a red string attached over my right pinky finger. “Huh? What’s this supposed to mean?”
Uttering in wonder, I follow the string from where it goes.

It’s quite long; I don’t know when this happen... might be, someone attached this to me.
Following the string to its exact direction, I walked briskly. I didn’t stop; only doubts and questions hang in my mind right now.
And then, from the big tree I stopped. A feature of a girl, around in her 17 years old appears under the shade. Having distance of 5 meters, I clearly see her appearance.
Quite bizarre; a girl with plucked horns on its head; blonde, long hair glimmering on the shade of sunbeam, pair of emerald colored eyes full of life and fair pearl-white skin.
She wears an elegant dress, like a medieval type dress for the royalties. Her lips form a smile as her hand raised towards her chest. Attaching on her pinky finger is the other end of the red string.
“Who are you...?” I asked. The girl didn’t answer; only soft giggle lurks on her while looking towards me.
My eyes beckon to the looks she has. “... My King... we will meet soon. The red string of fate will lead you towards me, your Queen...”
Huh? What’s that supposed to mean? This red string... this red string will lead me to see her soon?
“... I’m looking forward to see you, my King... we will rule the Tophet Kingdom together, you and me... and lead to the nation where everyone can live in peace and harmony...”
What? What’s that mean? I don’t understand.
In a sudden, a strong gust of wind scraps through my eyes, causing me to forcefully close. Ceasing in a few seconds, the girl suddenly vanished from the tree, along with the red string attached to my pinky finger as well.
“What the—-“
The surroundings become pitched black. From there, a small beam of light from afar appears. I follow it, but it goes bigger as I keep walking.
A sound of engine heard towards the coming light. Tolling of horns almost cracked my ears. As I see thoroughly, it’s a train coming towards without hitting a break.
My body froze; I can’t move freely. Then a loud ring echoes through my ears. A sudden twitch happens to my body right that moment.

And now welcome Markus Fickus, your average young man in our average and boring world! He was just an ordinary man, until one day, something changed his whole life. As he ate his breakfast on that fateful morning, little did he know that he would choke on his coffee and die—just to be reincarnated in the world of Fantasiaia! "Wait, what?" Mark said, looking up from his bowl of cereal. He didn't follow the script properly, and forgot to prepare his coffee. "I thought Fantasiaia was a VRMMO," Mark muttered as he made his way to his coffee machine. "How can someone reincarnate into a game?" Of course, what Mark didn't know was that logic and reason didn't matter. It was magic! Besides, everyone loves virtual reality stories and reincarnation novels. So why not have both? Mark shook his head sadly, but prepared his coffee in silence. When he finished, he looked up at the sky—and saw only the dull white ceiling of his apartment. He felt utterly cheated that the last thing he would see in this world was the peeling paint on the wall. "They are not paying me enough for this," Mark grumbled, then drank up his coffee. And then he died. PS: I found the cover picture on THE INTERNET. By no means will I tell you the artist's name or give any credit to them, but I let you know that the image is not mine.
