>> On that same night the heir was born.

In a luscious forest at the east side of the Kingdom lives a Warlock. He is famous in using black magic and complex sorcery. From the time the Kingdom was founded, he was been with the previous founders.

Since the Kingdom founded 2,000 years ago and the former founder, Botis, the one who lived for a long time was known to be a lich.

In the myths of Sorcery and Wizardry, Lich is a thousand-year-old mage that founds the immortality.

Basically, that’s how Botis is, but he didn’t show any boney features on him at all. He still has its flesh and skin around, but the wrinkles didn’t hide over his face.

Serving the Kingdom for thousands of years, Botis taught lots of wizards and sorcerers in his time to establish security and peace against the human race.

He has been well fought against the Heroes who invaded the realm.

His life has been dedicated to learn magic; a true mage with overpowered skills in combat and knowledge every magician in the long time.

At the center of the forest is a rubble house standing. The darkness succumbing the surroundings, but light comes from the inside of the house.

Over there is Botis sitting at the table while arranging the cards. Everyone from the kingdom respects him for being a great predictor by reading the card.

“Now, the new heir of the throne was born... I want to know what her future will be....”

Candelabra scattered around the house, lighting every candles enough to light the area. Ornaments hanging on the wall, jars, as well as urns containing potions and herbs arranged accordingly.

There are vials at the opposite side of the house arranged accordingly, containing different materials used in making potions and medicines.

Bookshelves filled with different grimoires are on the opposite side locating with scrolls.

A cauldron hanging under the chimney chute as the fire lit under gives a calming scent wafting around. It seems that he’s underway in making potion right now.

Shuffling the card deck on his hand, he places it down and scattered in a vertical way. All while doing that, he enchants some spell.

“O spirit that tells the future, show me what future the princess of Tophet Kingdom will have.”

Silence reign after he speaks. On the table are the deck of cards arrange vertically. His fingers start to touch the deck, caressing each like there’s something on it.

From the last row to the left going to the right, his fingers keep luring over each card. In a moment, a gentle caress of wind touches his cheek. It comes over the open window of his house, causing the flames in the candles to flick.

Botis glances over the window, as the wind keep caressing to his face. It seems just like an ordinary wind, but a soft whisper lures on his ears that exact moment.

“... A man from another world will get summon on the kingdom...”

That voice, a soft whisper he heeded directly takes up his hand to the middle part of the deck.

Picking the card at the very center, Botis flips it to look. “... Lover of Empress...”

Appearing on the card he picked is the feature of a woman with a man in upside down touching her face. “The princess and the future queen...” Botis utters.

He grabbed another card on the center and flips to look at the other side. “... Two rings...”

On the next card, he saw a pair of rings and an altar with a broken glass window as a design. “Marriage...” he mumbles again. On his mind builds out the thoughts, these features of the cards indicate the future of the queen.

“But what’s that supposed to mean? I mean, the queen will meet a man from another world...? And summon here?”

Botis’s eyebrows fuzzed while wondering about the voice he heard out. Once more, he looks at the deck of cards and caresses it. While he’s at it, a faint sense of electric shock tackles up on the tip of his finger.

It comes from the far left most of the deck cards. “What’s that...?” he utters and picks the card. Placing the two cards aligned on the table, the last card he draws flips over.

Appearing on the card is a skull of a man. “Death...?” he utters again. What’s that supposed to mean? Botis analyzed the arrangements of the cards he draw.

“’Lover of Empress, Two Rings and Death,’ what are these cards represented? I don’t understand...”

In a thousand years of practicing and studying magic, as well as card reading, this is the first time he felt confused from the appearance of the drawn cards on the deck.

“If the princess and the future queen will get married... to a man in another world...”

Botis pondered over the matter. As the time he goes deep, a sudden faint feature of scenery flashes on his mind.

On the scene is a man that appears from a magic circle summoned by one of the demon mage in the Kingdom. On his pinky finger attaches a red string, connected to the pinky finger of the future queen.

Though, it’s kind of bleak but Botis assures that the man isn’t one from the demon race. He resembles a human feature. Flashing forwardly to the next events, he sees the human and the queen get married.

Flashing further, the Kingdom becomes a nation cohabitating with every race, without discrimination. All ‘cause of the human that come over in this world.

Out in an instant, the flash of happenings suddenly vanishes on his mind. “What the...” he got awe from those features he just saw right now.

Looking again at the cards, Botis contemplates from what he has seen. “Death represents mortality, two rings represent intertwined fate and Lover of Empress is her betrothed one...”

Though still ambiguous, Botis tries to reread again the cards by shuffling it. But then, the same card he drawn out a while ago keeps appearing.

“So this is finally decided; the fate of the Kingdom and peace amongst other race will cause by that human...”

His voice, though fulfilled with amusement and wonder, still have little doubt on it. Botis knows that the human race loathes the demons ever since.

He has been living to serve the Demon royalties, to share his talent and power in reigning the peace and tranquility of this realm. But what now...? The supposed to be enemy of their race will become the betrothed to the future queen.

“This can’t be possible. I know this isn’t as easy as it is... conflicts between two races are too crucial.”

As he keeps pondering, a sudden appearance of a person wearing a white robe lures on his eyes. On its head is a hood covering its face. Botis got almost jumped out of surprise from what he saw.

“Who are you?” he asked.

The person in the robe didn’t say anything, but on his hand shows the thread of red string. “Huh...?” Botis looks at it and sees the thread comes from somewhere.

“If you have doubts about the future you just predicted, and the cards you draw... don’t fret, for that is the true fate of your queen in the future.”

That voice shrills him up. It’s the same voice he just heard just a while ago.

“The queen is fated to meet the person from another world. She will learn the true meaning of love to him, and blessed with the power to unite the demon and human race to its peaceful living.”

His body shunned up from those thoughts.

From the day the heir of the throne was born, her fate has been decided.

“Watch over the queen to her ascension to the throne, and let her see the beauty of everything. Let your guidance be her way to be the great ruler.”

At such relentless feeling, Botis just kneeled on the ground while heeding the words coming from the person on the robe. “You have the power to see the future, and the one who will lead the queen to unite the humans and demons to its prosperity.”

“I—-I might not be the one suited for that mission, because I seek immortality—-“

“And that’s the very reason why you’re still living until now. Seek the dawn of the Kingdom arise together with the peace with humans... the glory of your queen to reign as the ruler of this world, and you can perish peacefully...”

Those words sought thoroughly on his ears and keep in his heart. Since then, the person in white robe suddenly vanished in front of him.

Botis now noted that person. It’s the one who created this world, the Goddess Lenir.

Such heavy task is asked for him to fulfill, a lich who never seeks the door of death anymore. Botis knew that, and he has been tarnished to live while watching those people die before him.

He never found anyone to inherit this power; but at such time, he thought that this immortality of his should use wisely.

Until this day comes, finally, a person bestowed him the purpose of being immortal; and guides the next ruler to reign and maintain the peace of this Kingdom and the realm of demons.

“I will swear to my future descendants of this race that this role you bestowed upon me fulfills.”

He reaffirms that feeling. Botis speaks those words with such assurance and boldness on his voice. Right then, he prepares to go to the castle to tell the prediction he seen.
