"Where is he going?" Elisabeth asks Natalie.

Natalie shrugs her shoulders. "Let's follow him." Elisabeth says curiously. Elisabeth takes the hand of Natalie and she drags her towards the direction that Eric went.

"Wait." Natalie shouts.

Eric stops and he looks back. "What do you want?"

"We want to come with you." Elisabeth

Eric nods. "Where is the King?"

"He should be at his office." Natalie

"Where is the office?" Eric

"Follow me." Natalie

Eric and Elisabeth follow behind Natalie.

After two minutes of walking the group arrived at the office.

The guards at the door respectful bow at the Princess and they open the door. The armed guards stand at the side as the group goes inside.

When the group entered inside they saw the King and Arthur look at a map with a solemn expression.

"Why are you here?" The King looks at the three people.

"I want to give me the herb." Eric

"Bring the doctor here." The King orders the guards.

Natalie looks at the map on the desk curiously. "Why is the map of the Kingdom on the desk?"

"We want to see where to put the troops to defend against the beast tide from the Black Forest." The King

"Beast tide?" Eric, Natalie, and Elisabeth say at the same time.

"Every 30 years the beasts from the forest attack the Kingdom." The King

"Why the beasts come out from the forest?" Eric

"I do not know. The beasts that come out from the forest emit black smoke and they have red eyes." The King

The discussion is interrupted by the doctor when he opened the door.

Eric looks at the man that came inside the office. The old man has a tall slim figure. He has white long hair that is bonded by a hair ribbon. From his body emits the fragrance from the medicine.

"Your Majesty." Doctor bows at the King.

"Bring the medicinal herb that can help restore and revitalize the muscles." The King

"Your Majesty, the herb must be put inside a barrel filled with water to be effective." Doctor

"When is ready inform my daughter." The King

"It will take 1 hour to prepare the medicinal bath." The doctor leaves the room.

"When the beasts will attack the Kingdom?" Natalie says the question that has in her mind.

"In four days." The King

"We must protect the people that leave near the Black Forest." Natalie

"Do not worry I sent some guards to help them move in the capital." The King

Eric walks at the desk to see the map. He looks at the map carefully. "Will you defend at the fortress that exists near the Black Forest?" He looks at the King.

"Yes." The King

"If the beasts change direction and attack the capital?" Eric

"What do you mean?" The King

"The beasts may split into groups if someone controls them." Eric

All the people in the room are shocked. "I read that some beasts possess intelligence and they can order weaker beasts." Eric

"I will split the guards into two groups. One group will protect the capital and the other the fortress." The King

The discussion about the defense against the beast tide continues. All people say their ideas on how to protect the guards from the beasts.

The discussion stops when the door of the office opens as a young man comes inside. "Your Majesty, the medicinal bath is ready."

"You will continue the discussion later." The King looks at Eric.

"I will take my leave." Eric

"Follow me." The Servant

Eric looks at the servant as he is walking away and he follows him. Eric and the servant stop before they leave the office.

"We will come with you." Natalie and Elisabeth.

"You can come with us." The servant continues walking.

4 minutes later

Eric, Natalie, Elisabeth, and the servant stand in front of a door. The servant knocks the door and he waits.

"You can come in." Doctor

The servant opens the door and the people follow behind him.

"Did the King inform you that the process will be painful?" Doctor

"Yes." Eric

"Take off your clothes and go inside the barrel." Doctor

"Here?" Eric looks at the two females.

"We will leave the room and wait outside. If you can not take the pain call us to take you out of the barrel." Doctor

Eric nods, he starts to take off his clothes and he sees the content of the barrel before he goes inside. The water has become black. Eric sits inside the barrel and he waits for the medicinal bath to work. Eric frowns "Why does not the medicinal bath work?" Murmurs after 3 minutes. Eric feels that his body is a bit different now. He closes his eyes and he sees that his body absorb the black liquid. Suddenly all his body starts to ache. Eric grits his teeth and he clenches his fists to endure the sudden intense pain. The veins start to become visible on his body and his face become a bit red.

The water inside the barrel starts to become clear. The water inside the barrel turns around Eric like a whirlpool.

The pain becomes weaker until it disappears. Eric relaxes his body and he opens his eyes. He sees that the black liquid disappeared and the barrel has only clear water. Eric inspects his body to and he sees that the side effect disappears.

Eric stands and he leaves the barrel. He looks around to find a towel to wipe his body.

"Is anyone outside?" Eric shouts.

"We are waiting for you outside." Natalie and Elisabeth say at the same time.

"Bring me a towel." Eric

"I have a towel with me. Can we come inside?" Natalie

"Wait a moment." Eric

Eric looks around to find something to hide but he does not find anything so he goes inside the barrel again.

"You can come inside now." Eric

The door opens all the people that they were waiting outside comes inside.

The servant takes the towel from Natalie, he gives the towel to Eric. Eric looks at both females.

"Turn around." Eric

The females turn around and Eric leaves the barrel and he wipes the body with the towel. After he finishes he wears his clothes.

"You can turn back." Eric

"How you feel?" Doctor

"The treatment was effective." Eric

"If you need another treatment you can come to me." Doctor

Eric nods and he leaves the room with the two women.

"Are you sure everything is ok?" Elisabeth

"Yes, my body is better. I can fight again." Eric

"Let's go back to discuss with the King about the defense." Eric

A voice comes from behind them. "Do not need to go back. I am here."

Eric looks back and he sees the King. "I need to go to the fortress to help with defense."

"You go there with my daughter together. Before you leave here tell me to give you a letter that gives you freedom there." The King looks at his daughter.

Natalie does not refute because she wants to be together with Eric. Elisabeth wants to go together with them.

"Father, can I go with them?" Elisabeth

"Yes, you can go but you must be careful." Arthur

"We will leave now. Let's prepare." Eric says before he goes back to his room.
