Natalie looks at the assassins.

"You must send someone to take the body of the Deacon and throw it in the forest. Collect all the things that belong to the dark church or him and bring them to my mansion. We must not let the people know that someone from the dark church infiltrated in the capital undetected." Natalie

The assassins leave the carriage and start their mission.

Natalie looks at Eric with worry and she sees that his face is pale.

"Why you look so pale?" Natalie

"It is nothing. I pushed myself beyond my limit and the body cannot handle it." Natalie

"All the members of the church have the dark shield spell?" Eric

"I never heard this spell, so I do not know." Natalie

"It's a troublesome spell." Eric

Natalie nods and she does not continue to speak.

"How will you handle the situation?" Eric

"I think the situation is in favor of us. We will spread the rumor that some of the noble families are followers of the dark church. This will buy us some time." Natalie

"You will try to discredit the families to minimize the support from the citizens and divide them. The church of light may involve because of the dark church." Eric

"I know. I will let my father handle them otherwise they may detect that I am a witch and arrest me." Natalie

The carriage arrives at the Princess's mansion. Both people get out of the carriage and go inside the mansion. Eric was supported by Natalie and Matilda and help him sit in the guest room.

"Matilda, bring food that can help Eric with the exhaustion." Natalie

Matilda nods and goes to prepare the food in the kitchen.

"You will sleep here tonight. How long will you be like this?" Natalie

"At the morning I will be in perfect shape." Eric

"Why did you tell me to take care of you for the next two months?" Natalie

"My body will be in the weak state for these months. I need protection in case someone tries to kill me. I think it is better to stay here with you." Eric

Matilda opens the door and serves the food to Eric.

"The food smells good. What is it?" Eric

"Secret." Matilda and Natalie say at the same time.

Eric looks at them and starts to eat the food. When he has finished eating his meal, Matilda takes the plate and leaves the room.

"Good night Eric." Natalie

"Good night Natalie." Eric

Natalie leaves the room and Eric goes to sleep.

Inside the library

Three people are discussing with a serious tone.

"Princess, I have brought all the things that are related to the church of darkness." The assassin

"What about the Deacon?" Natalie

"We threw him in the forest and left something on him that could attract the monsters." The assassin

"Good work. You can leave now." Natalie

The assassin bows and leaves the library.

"Natalie you go to sleep. You can look at all the things with Eric tomorrow." Matilda

Natalie nods and leaves the library. She goes to her bedroom to sleep.

"It is too tiring to scheme and hide your true self against others." Natalie thought

Inside Royal Palace

A tall figure running through the corridor and arrives at the King's throne. The king is looking at the figure with a puzzled look.

"Your majesty something terrible happened this morning." Advisor

"What happened?" King

"In the morning some patrol guards discovered two dead people at the entrance of the Modano family. They informed their superiors and they sent people to investigate inside the mansion. They searched the mansion and they found all the people were dead." Advisor

"How could they be dead?" King interrupted the Advisor.

"The guards found a room that someone stored inside human body parts and the floor had blood." Advisor

"Human body parts?" King shocked

"Some of the remains we found inside the room they were from missing persons, others were people without a family and others were from the Modano family." Advisor

"How dared they and abducted my citizens?" King

"Also we found signs that they had performed many rituals symbols of the dark church." Advisor

"What?" The king stands up from the throne shocked.

"Did the noble families know the news about the rituals symbols and the human remains that we found?" King

"No, they do not know but your majesty all the city know that all the people from the Modano family are dead." Advisor

"How can they know this?" King

"They saw us that we took the bodies from inside the mansion and all of them were from Madona family. Also, nobody saw a member of the family come for help." Advisor

"Your majesty, all the people are afraid and start to panic. We must make a speech or make an imperial decree to avoid the terror and panic to spread." Advisor

"Write a speech and someone in the center of the capital to inform the people." King

"As you wish your Majesty." Advisor

"You can leave now." King

The advisor stands up and he leaves the king throne.

Inside a dark room

Around the table are four people and they are having a discussion.

"Did you learn that all the people from Modano family are dead?" Middle-aged man Leader of Boreno family

"Yes, I heard. Who could do such a thing?" Middle-aged man Leader of Kelkan family

"The king must be responsible for the attack." Middle-aged woman Leader of Lupen family

"We must investigate who is responsible for the attack when we will find the culprit then we will take revenge." Middle-aged man Leader of Taluka family.

They look at each other and they nod. After they finish the secret meeting they leave the dark room.

Inside the Princess's Garden

Two people are enjoying their breakfast. Matilda comes and she interrupts them.

"I am sorry for the interruption but I have important news." Matilda

"Tell us." Natalie

"The citizens start to panic because they are afraid. The other news is from the Royal Palace. The king will send someone to make a speech about the incident to stop the fear from spreading and he will calm down the citizens. Also, your father knows about the room with the human remains and rituals symbols of the dark church. " Matilda

"Is there news about the church of light or the noble families?" Natalie

"There is not any news about them." Matilda

"Thank you, Matilda. I think my father will keep it secret the collaboration between the dark church and the Modano family." Natalie

Eric is looking at the two women that they were discussing.

"Does your father know which of the nobles families planned to control the throne?" Eric

"No, he does not know." Natalie

"This is the reason that he wants to keep it secret." Eric

The two women look at each other and they do not why the king kept secret the collaboration.

"The king wants to draw out from the dark the nobles families that they are eyeing the throne. If he accuses them and he asks help from the church of light to attack them. The noble families will deny the accusations of the King and they will cooperate with paladins in the investigation. What will this look in the eyes of the citizens?" Eric

"You mean the citizens will see that the King try to suppress the nobles families and they will see him as a tyrant." Natalie

"Also, this can unite the noble families against a King that he is trying to suppress them." Eric

Both women shocked by the explanation of Eric.

"You are smart." Natalie

"Where are the things that we took yesterday?" Eric

"There are inside the library." Natalie

"I want to see them." Eric

"I will take you there. I want to study them." Natalie

Natalie, Matilda and Eric go towards the library.

Inside the library

An object starts to emit light and all the library brighten up after a minute the darkness comes again.
