"What will I do until night?" Eric thought

Eric was strolling in the street and he arrives at the city market. He sees many stalls and peddlers selling their products. The voices of the stalls owners make the market noisy and chaotic.

A peddler sees Eric that he was alone and he goes near him.

"Maybe I can swindle the young man to buy the fake ancient relic." Peddler thought

"Young man do you want to buy an ancient relic?" Peddler

Eric looks at the Peddler with curiosity.

"What kind of relic?" Eric

The peddler takes out of his pocket an amulet and he shows it at Eric. The amulet was made from wood. The amulet is beautiful with flower pattern and it gives Eric a special feeling.

"An amulet." Eric frowns.

The Peddler sees the young man frowns and hastily explain the origin of the amulet.

"This amulet was taken out of the tomb. The tomb belongs to the Great Witch Isabella. This amulet is precious, unique and expensive." Peddler

"How much does it cost?" Eric

"For you young man, it cost only 10 gold coins." Peddler

"I will give the amulet to Natalie to test it. Even if it is useless it can become a good gift to Natalie." Eric thought and he decides to buy the amulet.

A stall owner overheard their conversation and he comes toward them.

"Young man do not waste your money to buy the fake amulet." Stall owner

The Peddler heard the stall owner and his face become ugly.

"Why do you have to come here? I was so close to making the deal with the young man." Peddler though

"Fake?" Eric

The peddler looks at Eric with an anxious look and he was afraid that Eric will leave.

"Young man the price I told you before it was a joke. I will sell it to you for 50 silver coins. This is my last offer." Peddler

Eric takes out the money from his space storage and he gives it to the peddler.

"Take the money." Eric

The Peddler takes the money and leaves the place.

"Young man you waste your money to buy a useless piece of wood." Stall owner

"It's alright. I bought the amulet because it has a beautiful appearance. I will gift it to someone." Eric

The stall owner does not speak and he goes back to his stall to continue work.

Eric continues to walk in the market. He hopes to find more things like the amulet but his luck is not good and he leaves the market.

"Let's go to Natalie's mansion to test the amulet." Eric thought and he walks towards the direction of the mansion.

Eric arrives at the entrance and the guards let him go inside.

Inside the library

Natalie was in deep thought about the plan and her thoughts interrupted by the knock on the door.

"Come in." Natalie

"Natalie, you have a guest." Matilda

"Who is he?" Natalie

"Eric." Matilda

"Bring him here." Natalie said with a happy look.

Natalie does not know that the way she looks Eric has changed.

Eric was waiting in front of the door. He hears the voice of Matilda.

"Natalie waits for you inside the library." Matilda

Eric looks around as he goes towards the library. The decoration is very beautiful inside the mansion. It gives a peaceful feeling.

Eric opens the door of the library and sees Natalie is sitting behind the desk and reading a document.

"Why did you come here?" Natalie

"I bought a gift for you and I want to ask you some questions about the Modano family, the deacon of the dark church and the information about time, days and seasons." Eric

Natalie is shocked when she heard that Eric bought a gift for her and blushes.

Eric takes out the amulet and shows it to Natalie.

"It is beautiful." Natalie whispered.

"Come here I will hang it on your neck." Eric

Natalie goes towards Eric shyly with her head down.

Eric hangs the amulet on her neck and looks at Natalie carefully.

"Thank you." Natalie blushes

"How do you feel?" Eric

"I feel fine." Natalie

"Damn that old man, he sold me a fake relic." Eric

"Sit down to start the conversation." Eric

Natalie sits down and looks at Eric.

"We have 3 seasons. They are winter, spring and summer. A day is 21 hours and a year is 352 days. The Modano family was powerful but now they have become weak." Natalie

"What do you want to ask about the deacon?" Natalie

"Can the deacon cast curses?" Eric

"Yes, he can cast." Natalie

"When will we leave from here?" Eric

"I a few minutes." Natalie

The door of the library opened and 10 black-clothed men come in with covered faces.

"You better cover your face. If someone escapes and he saw your face, you will have trouble."

Eric takes the mask that Natalie gives him and wears it.

"Let's start the attack. I will come with you to help." Natalie

All the people left the library and they get on the carriage. The carriage starts to go forward.

"Be careful of the deacon let Eric handle him." Natalie

All the assassins nod at Natalie.

The two guards at the entrance gate of Modano family saw the carriage but they did not pay attention and continue talking to each other.

The carriage stops in front of the guards. The door opens and a spear comes out and penetrates one of the two guards. The other guard shocked by the death before he could respond an assassin was already in front of him and cut his throat. All the people get out from the carriage and look at the mansion.

"Good luck." Natalie

The assassins and Eric open the gate and they disperse inside the mansion. The assassins open the rooms and kill the people on the bed. The blood splatter on the walls of the room.

Eric took other direction from the assassins. He heard a sound and he saw to guards coming. He hides in the corner and he changes his spear to a knife. The guards pass the corner and they do not notice him. Eric attacks from behind he push the knife on the neck and twist it. He pulls out the knife and with one hand covers the mouth of the shocked guard and stab him on the neck 3 times.

Eric continues to move forward. He stops and looks at the room on his left side. The room emits sinister energy. He opens the door of the room to look inside. He sees decapitated heads, body parts, organs and blood splatter on the ground.

"What is this room?" Eric thought

Inside a dark room

A figure sits in the darkness and opens his sinister eyes.

"Someone activate the alarm that I had in my private room. I must find and kill him before he exposes me." Deacon

The Deacon stands up and left the dark room.

Eric searched around the other rooms and he did not find something strange.

"Why is the house so deserted? Do not tell me all the human parts inside the room were residents in this house." Eric thought

Eric goes back towards the entrance.

*BOOM*

Eric hears the sound and goes to see. He arrives and he sees the 10 assassins to fight 3 people.

"How dare you to come here and kill my family." Leader

"I killed all your family except you and him even your wife is dead and your son." Assassin

The leader of the Modano family and his guard start to attack without a care about their injuries on the body.

"I will kill you all and hang you on the center of the city and your families together [email protected]@rds." Leader howls

"Let me help you and your guard. Strength of Darkness." Deacon chants

A black smoke envelops the leader and his guard and goes inside them. After the black smoke disappears two figures become visible again. The skin has become green and their eyes are black.

"This spell can make you stronger and it will burn your life essence. If you burn all your life essence you will die." Deacon

"I do not care. I want revenge." Leader

"What an idiot. He thinks he can win against 10 people." Deacon whisper

"You are the deacon." Eric

"You must be that person that saw my private room." Deacon

"All these dead people were from the Modano family?" Eric

"Indeed they were. I sacrificed them to gain strength and kept them a part of their bodies as trophies." Deacon

"You have a nasty hobby." Eric

"Curse gloom." Deacon

Eric feels his body heavy and his movements are slow.

"What is this?" Eric

"A curse that can slow down the speed." Deacon

"Troublesome curse." Eric thought

"I must kill him fast before the other two people die and the assassins come here and surround me." Deacon thought

"Corrosion Spear." Deacon

A dark spear appears in front of Deacon with a move of his hand the spear moves toward Eric with fast speed.

Eric tries moving to avoid the spear but his movement was slow. He jumps to avoid the incoming attack, the Spear passed near him and he drops to the ground before he could stand the Deacon attacks again.

"Triple Fireball." Deacon

Three fireballs appear over the Deacon and the temperature in the room rise. His hand makes a sign and the fireballs move toward Eric.

" I must use my secret skill to survive and it will take two months to pass the side effects and the intense muscle pain from the skill. In these two months, I can not do intense physical activities like fighting or sparring. If someone attacks me I will not able to defend myself. I must survive." Eric thought

"Boost." Eric

Boost enhances the physical capabilities.

*BOOM*

Eric uses the skill and jumps back. The fireball hit the ground and explode and the shockwave of the explosion sends Eric to collide against the wall.

The impact of the collision was strong and Eric coughs blood and the body drops on the ground.

"Hell Spear." Deacon

The dark red spear appears the Deacon makes a hand sign, the spear moves in the direction of Eric.

Eric rolls away and he avoids the attack. He stands up and runs towards the Deacon.

"Playtime is over." Eric

Eric starts to attack with his knife. He takes from behind his back the shape-shifting ball and changes it to a sword.

The Deacon shocked by the change of the ball to the sword.

"What?" Deacon

Eric starts to attack but he can not pass his defense.

"What is this defense?" Eric

"This is the dark shield spell. It creates a shield around me and protects me from attacks in exchange it burns my life force every second." Deacon

The only major drawback of the dark shield spell does not allow the caster to move otherwise the shield will dissipate.

"It looks like the other fight finished." Deacon

Both people look at the two dead bodies and the injured assassins.

"The leader and his guard died. It's your turn now." Eric starts to attack again.

Natalie goes inside the mansion and she saw some assassins with serious injuries. She goes towards them.

"Take the seriously injured assassins in the carriage and leave." Natalie

The assassins take the seriously injured people and leave. Three assassins stay to guard the Princess.

Natalie looks at Eric battle with the Deacon. Natalie saw the injuries of Eric and she starts to worry and become anxious about the health of Eric.

Eric and the Deacon look exhausted and the Deacon starts to age faster.

"I have 3 minutes until the boost energy exhaust." Eric thought

After so many attacks the shield starts to crack.

"Finally." Eric thought

Eric speeds up the attack on the same place on the shield and creates an opening. Eric slashes the stomach of the Deacon and the organ fall on the ground. The shield dissipates because of the injury and the Deacon fall on the ground. Eric goes over the body of the Deacon with his sword stabs the heart.

Eric looks around and he sees Natalie.

"Beautiful lady come here to help me." Eric says with a smile

Natalie comes to him and supports him. She blushes and her body trembles when she makes contact with the body of Eric.

"Let's leave here." Eric

Natalie nods, they get on the carriage and they leave.

"You must take responsibility and take care of me for the next two months." Eric winks at Natalie

Natalie's face becomes red and she becomes shy and looks down.
