Glossary

Aishy- The first country on Fupum to be known, basically the mother of all countries.

Archive Islands- A region made up of large islands west of Aishy including Zuthalili. These islands are used for major criminals and psychopaths. Each of the three islands has a ranking for certain criminals based on the level and quantity of their crimes. Basically, the three main islands that make up this unofficial country are large prisons. They did, however, used to be a real country mainly for monks of a forgotten religion, but after the Blood War* of 309 kp (Kainde Period). it was discontinued by the Aishin Empire.

Armadon- A giant lizard-creature that is used as a mobile house, they are usually used in Aishy and cannot fly.

Beldor- This demon is mainly known for its common way of ripping its human prey to shreds before devouring the pieces. Ancient stone carvings have been found to describe this creature along with its discovery.

Bemish- Another country of Fupum located on the northern quarter and southeast of Aishy in the Danaken Sea. Bemish is known as the coldest and possibly also the smallest country on the planet.

Blood War- In 903 kp, there was a world war where basically all of the nations banded together against the Deria country which is now known as the Archives Islands. This war is recorded as the most violent thus far in Fupum and lasted from 903-915kp.

Bulsisurprus- Inmates of the Archive Islands.

Byltom- The enforcers of the Archive Islands who keep the inmates in check.

Crevsa- The Mayor of a city or village. When the crevsa of the area dies and there is no successor the village/city is considered discontinued.

Cujom- A mixed breed between a dog and a bear. They are usually used in Aishy for tracking, the Archive Islands for guarding, and Kiram for exotic purposes. They stand on their hinds at 6 feet and weigh about 180 pounds.

Fupum- This word actually comes straight from the ancient language, Crenhis. There’s no direct or legitimate translation, but it supposedly means “Core,” or “Heart.” It’s believed that this word is referring to the concept of the planet’s cornerstone. This is the name of the spherical planet that Vila lives on.

Furreku- The month of June.

Galdoria- A goddess who made the bridge between the spirit world and Fupum. Believers of this goddess or “Galdorians” claim the ability to contact these spirits along with the dead. This religion dates back about 1,000 years or so.

Gyunya- An elongated carriage that would be the equivalent of a limousine. The cabinet length of a carriage is usually around ‘4.5 x ‘3, but a gyunya is extended to ‘6.5 x ‘3.5. This extra room is usually made for a passenger to have some leg room or lying down and makes an easier rest. This is why they are commonly used to transport an individual to the hospital as an emergency vehicle. It is, however, also used by the rich.

Hiki- The universal language of Fupum. It supposedly derives from the ancient language of Crenhis, which can be compared to Latin concerning dead languages.

Hotto- A form of rai with the value of one American dollar.

Huikan­- This is a large species of bird that has been bread over the years during the Blood War to act as a large-scale alarm or siren for any major events such as an air raid.

Imai- Female servant.

Ipeii- A Male servant in the conventional sense.

Je-il- A heavy piece of fabric that is used as a door for entryways or windows, basically the main substitute for wood and or glass.

Kan- A neutral honorific similar to ‘san’ in the Japanese language. It can mean ‘Mr,’ ‘Mrs,’ or ‘Miss.’

Kainde Period- The period before the Youra Period (the current time period) and after the Zanda Period that took a span of 1,000 years each. The current year is 49 Youra Period(yp).

Kiram- The country in Fupum that is located on the Eastern Quarter and is also known as the hottest country.

Kukal- A mixture of mud and other fast-drying liquids to create a substance that works much like concrete or clay to make buildings or adobe, basically the equivalence of concrete or clay.

Lav- A small home or one-room-hut for peasants.

Manishito- The month of August.

Methel- A god from ancient beliefs but has many followers still. It is said that he is the creator.

Mitsu- A crocodile or alligator anthro. They usually live in the country Kiram of Fupum for the extremely warm temperatures. Kiram is on the Eastern quarter of Fupum.

Nami- Used at the end of a word to pluralize it.

Nupum- A type of flower that is dried up to make powder for easy-made pancakes and other sorts of cheap bakery.

Ousada- A wolf-bear creature that is larger in size than a cujom. On its hinds it stands about 12 feet and weighs over 1600 to1900 pounds.

Oumi- Much like an omen, it is a type of sign that either presumes good or bad fortune.

Pickertho- The name of an explorer who traveled across the globe and discovered what is now known as Zuthalili. The man who is referred to as “Pick” was named after this great explorer.

Rai- The currency for the residents if Fupum.

Soenara- A shopping area or a place for travelers to rest between cities and villages.

Tethalia- Another word for the sun in the hiki language.

Thrunan- A horse-eagle-tiger-mix used for pulling cargo usually. They usually stand at 6ft at the shoulder and weight over 1200 pounds. They’re incredibly weak compared to an ousada but can still cause serious damage if provoked.

Vindelos- A god who is the complete opposite of Methel. From wrecked stone carvings, he is known to be cruel, brutal, and powerful. He is ultimately seen as the embodiment of evil itself.

Xon- It means “small” but is usually placed after the name of a residence to indicate that it is the sub-residence of the given title, thus, making it a sub-village. Sub-villages are usually created for the sole purpose of farming for the main city it’s named after.

Zemfen- The only continent in all of Fupum and is located on the other side of the planet from Aishy. It consists of only two countries: Ridjia, and Garmul.

Zuthalili- Located around the Archive Islands West of Aishy, this island is where people who have done unspeakable crimes against the Aishin Empire are sent for exile or simply go there out of free-will to escape the law. No one is recorded going there and were heard from again which is why this is the place for exilement.

Unknown Language Glossary

Ightah- This word is used to command an immediate impediment of someone’s actions. It can translate to something like, “Stop,” “Enough,” or “Obey.” This is another word from the same language as “Khri.” To pronounce this word, one makes a slightly harsh ‘h’ in the back of the throat when approaching the ‘gh’ after the short ‘i’ and then gives as spelled ‘tah.’

Kahath- Pronounced as spelled, this word comes from the same dialect of “Khri” and refers to decimating or any form of dissolving.

Khri-Pronounced with a silent ‘k’ and a hard ‘h’ sound, this word most likely translates as “Pain,” but the language is foreign to this era of Fupum as it was created even before the Crenhis era (when crenhis was the universal language).

Shruul- Coming from the same tongue as “Kahath,” this word means to freeze or be frozen (referring to the object of which ones desires to freeze).

Thiill- From the same language as Shruul, it means “seal” or “Barrier.”

Qaauko- From the same language as “khri,” this word simply means “portal” or any other form of transporting across worlds/dimensions in a short period of time.
