《Rise of the nefarious devil》3- Peak mortal realm , & starting blood sacrifice

After Carl woke up , he sighed helplessly as he only slept for 30 minutes , as his senses warned him of the existence of a beast coming closer to him..
He then looked back at the sky as it was still the same time - afternoon , he then grabbed everything that he should keep ( barrel , stones , feathers , etc. ) and started digging for another trap for the beast..
-
The heavens obviously knew that Carl was a fiend cultivator - since it had a feud with it ever since his first life , but didn't know that his way differed from it , after all it was just one heaven ..
-
After making the trap and setting it all up , he started digging below the predicted spot where the beast would next step in , and then afterwards the beast fell..
The beast could be sensed from the Qi around it that was around the early stage of Qi refinement stage - which meant that it gained a thread of intelligence that allowed it to sense danger and also sense nearby pray , that also meant that it found him by the heavens leading it to him..
He then sighed helplessly as he couldn't fight a beast on a head-to-head fight , but he could rely on underhanded means in the meanwhile..
' Any way to kill in battle , whether by such underhanded means to kill it , or kill it directly , it'll all lead to the same outcome - which is its death , so no matter the way battle is , the only thing one should think about is the outcome of the battle , that should always be death.'
He then focused most of his energy , which unbeknownst to him was also a thousandth of a thread of the original death qi , as it started surging crazily into his hand , until he hit the one slot that all humans and beasts alike would die if hit by such a powerful attack in it.. It was the heart.
Though they would die if the strength surpasses their own , as if Carl tried to kill a beast in the peak Qi refinement realm , it wouldn't work as his strength wouldn't be enough..

*BOOM*
When his fist landed on the spot of heart , the beast shrieked in pain before it laid helplessly as a corpse in top of the barrel..
And Carl could finally see the beast - it was 5 meters tall , had one tail and one was growing osut if it's body , and two horns and a small horn that was still growing slightly..
He then started cutting though it , but it took longer this time as the beast's flesh was harder than what thought could be..
-
The damage of his fist managed to cause powerful shockwaves, which created a small portion of the original death qi ( one hundredth of acthread ) around his fist , and used it in order to kill the beast - as without it , Carl couldn't kill the beast..
-
After hours if cutting , he finally managed to get the flesh and blood seperated , along with the horns and tails..
He would sell them to a city after he goes to one , so he started making a huge backpack that could bear the weight of the horns and tails..
After that , he started absorbing both blood and flesh of the beast , which made his cultivation soar..
Demonic death qi condensation 50%...
Demonic death qi condensation 60%...
Demonic death qi condensation 80%...
Demonic death qi condensation 90%...
Demonic death qi condensation 99%...
It then stopped there , which puzzled him as he still had two small buckets worth of both blood and flesh..
He then remembered that he needed to sacrifice mortals in order to advance to the next realm.. So he smiled with a wide grin that showed his teeth ' Finally some fun! I never wanted to rely on beasts to progress on cultivation in the first place ! '
He got excited by the idea of killing mortals and using their bodies as a nourishment for him..
-
He then started to move everything to a desolate area in that mountain - where there was a cave behind a waterfall in it , the place where his original body was.

He started making the cave look more and more unnoticeable.
Afterwards , he made small rooms where he would prepare his breakfast , sleep , take a bath and made a room that had a circle around a slot , a deeper hole where blood could circulate around , and a slightly higher floor where flesh could be put and absorbed by him to advance his cultivation.
This was his new home , where he would come here in the future.... But first he required a teleportation array or artifact that would help him either teleport directly to the cave or make an array that could teleport him..
He sighed helplessly as that was far from now - since he needed to be at least at the Nascent Soul realm before he could successfully make an array , whole the artifact would be a supreme treasure for sects , clans , kingdoms , empires , etc.
-
After putting everything in place , he left the cave and moved back in the direction where the town existed .
-
A few hours later , Carl could be seen exactly a hundred meters away from the town , he then started placing the stones , along with making inscriptions that had his own blood on them to make the array more powerful.
He kept doing the same process , which was placing stones , injuring himself a bit , and then putting the blood on top of the stone and drawing a few inscriptions.
Though every 4 hours he would stop as his body would have blood loss , but that also nourished his blood as it was constantly being exposed to Qi , which in turn his body turned to Devilish death qi and made his blood turn into a violet red color , slowly making his bloodline purer , while he was still unaware of it..
-
And just like that , a few days passed by while Carl could be seen doing the same thing over and over , while the stones he engraved did indeed have inscriptions , they looked nothing but small ordinary pebbles to mortals who still couldn't feel Qi , and even if there were cultivators it would be the same case , as the inscriptions he wrote could only be known by someone the same race as him .
In that process , it made his bloodline as purer and denser as ever , which made the last few stones to have more power compared to the one previous to it , though that didn't matter as what truly mattered was the inscriptions , not the blood's power.
His blood was far denser and purer that it would make his bloodline the purest his race ever had when he reached the blood refinement realm , thus leading to his body refinement realm being easier as it only consisted of using the blood , flesh of others or devilish death qi converted from them to temper his body fully..
Though many people from his race indeed tried many different ways , they never did such arrays as there was always someone specified to do it for them , so they never got to know that when manually putting on the stones it would refine the bloodline even more..
After he finished , he went back to his house as it was too tiresome for him being awake for a couple of days straight with his current mortal strength.
-
The heavens were puzzled by his actions , though they didn't pay much attention as they were busier with mire troublesome events , and it only paid more attention to Carl when it was free , but what Carl and the heavens didn't know is that when the blood sacrificial happens nothing would seem out of the ordinary to the heavens - which was a process done by the founder of his race to make the ascendants' journeys , that happened the moment Carl got the inheritance through the inheritance...
