《Girls are the cutest when they are in love!》Chapter 5: Onii-chan

It was a long day for me, and certainly for Sayaka who tolerate my whining. As of now, we departed from the train station and I was currently heading home.
The same street that guided me since I was a kid. Seeing the front of our house, I recalled the moment Senpai came to deliver some food. A dark feeling swells from my stomach, up to my chest.
No, no. I can do this, I got Sayaka on my side. That was right. If she said she would help me, she absolutely would.
With that in mind, I entered the gate and opened the house and—
“Eri-chan!”
I instinctively lowered my body and stepped aside. BAM! A man, well within his twenties, was now hugging the floor.
“Nii… You’re back…”
“Why do you sound so disappointed!?” We have the same color of hair and eyes, perhaps it was safe to say that he was the masculine version of me.
He was my older brother Evan. “I thought you’re in Tokyo?”
“It’s our vacation, so I came here to see my cute little sister.”
“Ew, gross. Where’s mom?”
“As cute as always.” He said, before standing up. “Mom said she’s going to buy something, perhaps she’s making a time for us to be alone…OwO?”
He stood there, crossing his pointing finger like a retard.
“I’m going back to my room; don’t you ever dare to come inside,” I said, slightly disgusted to my brother.
“Wait, is that reverse psychology!?”
“No! Nii you’re being creepy again!” As you could notice, my brother was, er, well, he was a siscon.
“Creepy!? What about the time you said that you’re going to marry me when you’re little!?”
“I never said that! Not even once!”

“Tsk, sharp memory…” He muttered. This man!
Having enough of it, I blazed through the living room, going upstairs, ignoring Nii’s call, and locking myself in my room.
Sigh. Then, throwing myself to the fluffy bed, I checked my phone. It was Sayaka texting me that she would accompany me on Monday.
“What do you mean by that?” Sent, but there was no reply. I swiped away and tapped the gallery. A picture of me and Senpai popped on my screen—I smiled ever so slightly.
“Hehe~” I wanted this to be my wallpaper so bad, but I could never have the courage to use it.
Knock! Knock! Knock! The door slammed a couple more times before the knob began to frantically twirl. “Are you texting with a boy!?”
“None of your business!”
“It’s my business! You’re my cute little sister! There’s no way I’d hand you to anyone but me!”
“Gross!” Ugh… My brother—though unbearable now—was actually quite a decent person. Kind, smart, sporty, handsome, my brother would be perfect if not for his tendency.
While we were going at it, I heard Mom going in.
“I’m home, oh? Is Eri-chan home?”
“Yes, mother.” My brother, from a beast to a fine gentleman in a quick one hundred and eighty degrees, greeted mom.
It was only times like this that I could feel safe. I finally opened my door and head downstairs, seeing Mom holding eco-bags, some even on her shoulder.
“Mother, let me help.”
“Thank you, Onii-san.1” My mother said, giving all her carriage to Nii. Mom and Dad were oblivious to his siscon side, hence why I could do nothing about it but endure.
Mother glanced at me and smiled. “Are you okay now? You looked pretty sad earlier.”

How did she know? To her, I nodded. “Yeah, I’m okay now.”
I could tell that Nii was dying to know what happened, and so he gently asked Mom. “What happened to Ericka?”
“Oh, you see, she’s said yesterday and until now. Probably a boy or something.” Mother ended with a giggle—the exact opposite reaction Nii was showing to me.
“A-a boy? Surely that’s not the case.” He said, glaring at me.
“Of course not!” I said, crossing my arm.
“Eri-chan is lying! So, it’s a boy, isn’t it? He-he-he-he~!” Mother chided cheerfully.
“No, mother, I believe her… She’s telling the truth… She’s gotta be… She’s gotta be…” Nii’s eyes turned white as he began muttering.
Your mask is falling! And just when I thought I’d finally have some peace of mind, another problem was added to my life. I sure do hope that nothing absolutely chaotic will soon happen in my life.
