《Reborn in Isekai with Sharingan》chapter 8 the first edge

The next day, the house arrest for Light was cancelled, instead of surreptitious monitoring he pretended not to know. Playing dumb was always a good way to escape danger. People who were useful have only the value of being used, after all. There’s no one would use you if you’re a loser.
And in the end, the real root cause that he had impact and was threatened was his powerful Sharingan and Jutsu. He would get unnoticed if he’s useless. Or dying unnoticed.
Light wanted to get unnoticed but not to die. So he must do something to change his situation.
If he couldn’t finger his way home in the future and would be forced to live in such a magical world, he would like to spend his entire life on plain things and embrace death with peace.
He’s going to work for it.
At the time of brunch, someone’s coming.
It’s the maid he encountered several days ago, Light didn’t still know her name.
“Childe Uchiha, an invite from my lord.”
The cute servant girl stepped slowly into the living room and curtsied to him a bit.
“Your lord? Who?” Light thought that maybe a noble wanted to meet him.
“Professor Alexander.” She could nearly be real whispery.
Light could not hear what she was saying, so he inclined closer to the girl.
Aika was startled by it and skipped back at once.
“Whattttt are you gonna do to me?” She hugged her chest with a shy look.
“HAAAAA?” That confused Light.
After a rough communication, Light and the cute maid came to the conference room of school. There were already four whom he’d known in it.
Of course, Alice, Alexander, Emma and Rose.
The cute girl backed out noiselessly with leaving the door closed as Light entered into his destination.
The four were chatting around the council table and then got all quiet of a sudden as they noticed his arrival.
“Light, there you are.” Emma came to greet him graciously. At the meanwhile Alice nodded at him.
“Yea.” He gave them back a nod as a salute in return.
“Please, sit down.” Alexander gestured for him.
“So, there is someone could explain the sake I was ‘stayed’ in my room?” Light pulled up a chair next to Emma and sat down. He gave a slight glance at the old man.
Alexander offered an awkward smile and, fumbled his long beard, “Let me explain to you.” While in his thoughts, “Let me make up to you.”
The words Alexander said were nothing but clichés about individual safety and politics that Light had known by heart.
The forbidden magic was a big event in Tangie for several years and there must attract the enemy. For his safety and military politics, the truth about that combat couldn’t be exposed. More than that, Light must hide his forbidden magic and powerful Jutsus from the others, including his Sharigan.
The surface of what Alexander said was bullshit, of course, Light knew it.
He, or rather, people behind him were reluctant to lose the genius like him, and wanted to use his jutsus to creat something dedicatory for this country. Likewise, so did the enemy. Even in the worst situation, Alexander would rather him died that be captured by the enemy.
Light had two choices - died or ‘stayed’ here.
That sounded pathetic, but there’s nothing he cared about.
The safety first, freedom second.
So, Light couldn’t cast his magic without permission on the ‘advice’ of Alexander. And his safety was in the hands of Rose, Alice and Emma.

In addition, the rumors about Light were unified in their stories.
Light was the one of Uchiha family that was a very distant relative of Tangie clan. He was the Alexander’s distant nephew and came to the Tangie city from far away. He could cast none of magic within even five elements, just accomplished small things in the illusions.
“So that, am I safe? And I don’t have to fight with anyone?” Light shrugged.
“Definitely!” Alexander added, “As long as you comply with my advice.”
“Sure!” Light nodded heavily and then he crooked his finger at Emma, “Could I invite my cute teammate to go for a walk?”
His frivolous behavior usually was not acceptable in this world, but not for Emma.
Emma smiled gently and stood up, “My pleasure, Childe.”
“Hey!” Alice frowned at Emma with the unnoticed jealousness, “Then we have a trio training.”
Light interrupted by raising his hand, “Until I feel better. Shall we?” He flashed his eyes at Rose – a mysterious woman who was always in all black.
The black woman glanced at Light and said nothing.
Alice saw their mentor didn’t say anything, so she had to desist too.
“Enjoy yourself!” Said the old man paradoxically.
Light smiled, “As you wish.” Then he was going out with Emma.
When they had gone, Alice turned to Alexander.
“What are you doing? Dad! His safety must be adequately guaranteed. Emma doesn’t have the capability to match.” Her brows contracted.
“Ahem.” Alexander coughed, and then he gave an embarrassing smile to Rose but a serious stare to Alice, “Call me professor in school, I have told you!”
In fact, the surroundings of Light were monitored by more than 10 darkwalkers 24 hours a day, which was only clear to him. The safety was not a concern as long as light was in Tangie city.
Alexander stroked his beard and squinted at Alice, “Are you really concerned about his safety? I’m afraid not.”
Alice blushed a little at the mention of the old man’s guess, “I don’t understand what you’re saying.”
Rose watched it all quietly and said nothing.
**********************************************************
Actually, fighting wasn’t a funny thing most people would enjoy, let alone killing someone. If the things that happened in the manga or novels occurred in reality, the characters involved wouldn’t want to go through this if they had other options.
Go in light was true. Shikamaru’s motto was his ideal.
Now that God had given him a new life, he would like to make good use of this rare opportunity to live out his life he wanted.
All those clichés about giant-killing big villains? Creating a series of embarrassing events to the badass? Conquering the world?
Come on! Who the hell in their normal mind would do this boring stuff?
Who’s going to work when they’re rich? Doing what you love was simply intoxicating. For example, to be in a relationship with this lovely girl beside him.
Emma was totally different from other girls even in his last life – active, cute, courageous, intellectual. Although sometimes very capricious, completely within the acceptable range.
She led him to many interesting places.
The wagons, the pipes, the courtyard, the classical style clothes, the unpaved roads, the firewood, the collection of ancient buildings, etc. Light was getting to know here. But compared to the last world, the television, the computer games, the internet, the convenient electronic devices, popular entertainment were a lot of more fun.
Maybe Light was used to being busy in fast-paced world before, he was a little unaccustomed to the slow pace of the magic world.

He had no interest in many things. No water was enough when you’d the sea crossed, after all. Perhaps he needed to invent something to enjoy himself.
Fortunately, food always there no matter how it changed.
After they got a little tired and hungry, Alice led him to a restaurant which was famous in Tangie.
It’s not very big but tasteful. The tables were spread out from each other, leaving lots of space among them. The dim light and candles flicker, the floor was covered with the several whole stones smoothed out instead of floorboards.
They chose a table for two and sat down, then a waitress dressed up pretty well came over.
“May I help you?” It’s alive with her voice.
There were two menus on the table originally, Light picked up one and scanned, “A cup of black coffee first, please.”
The dish names on the menu were unknown to Light, he’s kind of not looking forward to its taste.
“Excuse me?” A kind but wondering look showed on the waitress’ face.
“Black coffee, any kind.” Light was focusing on the strange dish names.
“Excuse me?” Still a kind but wondering smile.
Emma, also wondered, asked, “What’s coffee? A new kind of tea?”
At this time Light stopped and looked at Emma, he picked up on that quickly. It turned out that there was still no coffee in this world.
He explained, “A different beverage of my hometown, I just thought that there was it here, too.”
“I see …” Emma was curious, “I’d like to have the opportunity to try this.”
“I hope it’s not far.” Light couldn’t live without coffee for long. It seemed some invention may be necessary.
Unexpectedly, Light found a dish that would never had appeared in the last world on the menu – the steamed bear’s paw.
“Would you like this?” Said Emma.
Light nodded, he wanted to experience the taste he couldn’t imagine.
“Two for that, please.” Emma handed over the menu to the waitress.
“Hold on, please. Your food will be there in a minute.” The waitress retreated gently.
“Is this a date for us?” Emma asked abruptly.
While in her words, the waitress held on two cups of tea and came to them. It’s green tea Light didn’t know.
Emma took one of both and began to drink, so did he.
“Everything is like drinking. You’ll not know its taste before you try it.” Light waved slightly the cup filled with the tea.
“Yea.” Purred Emma adoringly, “But you’ll never know whether you like it before you try. Anyway, no matter you want or not, you must experience it once.”
Light smiled and took one sip of the tea, “Not bad.”
“So glad you like it.” Emma inclined her head and toasted him.
After the two talked some more, Light had known much more about this world.
There were several continents in the world, Atlantis was the largest island continent. Sumer was the one of the largest countries on Atlantis. To its north was the mighty Rome, the eastern and south were the endless ocean, the western was the Death Forest close to Tangie.
The psychic was a general term for people who had supernatural strength. The mage, illusionist and samurai were massive part of all. No matter the civilian or officer you wanted to be, you must be a psychic first. Naturally, poor children had no chance to study any useful technique. Inheriting the fate of previous generation was their only destiny.
And as Light could imagine, Emma was from the noble. Her father was the youngest duke who was in the capital now.
“You’re different as I thought.” Emma’s stare was lingering.
“For what?” Light shrugged and pretended to be astonished suddenly, “Oh my goodness! You won’t be Miss Emma from the Taylor family, would you? How could I get dinner with my Lady! It must be a dream.” Light’s overexaggerated behavior was crazy like Jim Carrey.
He stopped abruptly and continued with a serious face, “Am I supposed to act like this?”
“Ha ha ha ha!” Emma almost burst into a laughter to tears, “How could you get so similar? Who taught you imitation?”
Light pretended to be incredible and asked with his head thrown back, “No one really did that, didn’t they?”
Her tears burst out at this time, “Hahahaha!!” Emma laughed loudly and then held her hand up to her mouth.
She muffled in the handkerchief with her short stature trembled, “You’re so funny.”
After another interval, the dish didn’t still come. While it’s time out already.
“I’ll take a look.”
As Emma was about to stand up, the waitress came to apologize, “I’m so sorry that I didn’t know the bear’s paws have consumed out.”
At this time, a waiter was passing through Emma with holding two pairs of paws steamed.
Light was sensing extreme awkwardness right now.
The waitress blushed instantly and stammered.
By now a plain-looking Childe who dressed colorfully came over.
“Oh, it’s you, Miss Emma. What can I do for you?” The childe gestured for invitation, “Would you mind joining me? The delicious paw is waiting for you.”
And then he pretended to notice Light serendipitously and asked Emma, “This is ...?”
“My new teammate – Light.” Emma replied loathly with an unhappy look.
“Oh!” The childe nodded repeatedly, “I’ve heard so much about you. Nice to meet you, I’m James Trasipolo.” He extended his hands to Light.
“Light Uchiha.” Light outstretched his hand to have a shake.
“I’m sorry for that, I don’t know you have ordered the dish I want.” James gestured for Emma and Light again, “If you don’t mind …”
Light turned his eyes to Emma for a query, there’s an obvious disapproval in her gaze.
“I’m afraid that …” Said Light.
“Don’t be so straightforward, bro Light.” James smiled and declined his head to Light’s ear, “You won’t see tomorrow’s sun if you dare to refuse.”
The whisper was in gentle voice but fierce tone.
Light turned his eyes to Emma again with a smile, then at James who was smiling at him.
‘So that’s it!’ Light thought in his mind.
“Why refuse a friend’s hospitality?” Light winked at Emma, “Haven’t you? Miss Emma?”
For a minute, Emma couldn’t figure out what he wanted to do but still agreed.
“Sure.” She nodded.
Then Light grasped her left hand regardless of her amazed expression and followed James. It was apparent that James wanted to explode but held back.
There sat a pretty good girl on the chair next to the table James ordered. As Light was about to ask for something, James waved rudely toward the girl, “Get out! There’s no seat for you now.”
The maiden glanced at Emma instantly and blustered at James in a low voice, “Remember what you’ve done to me today.” Then she left without hesitation.
“It seems we disturb you at your pleasure.” Light smiled at James and lost Emma’s hand, then he sat down the spot the maiden had sat.
“All is little business compared to the date with Miss Emma.” James sat down opposite to Light while he talked.
Emma sat down next to Light without any words.
Obviously, the only reason that they missed the paw was James. And it was very clear James intended to ingratiate himself with Emma even if she had no crush on him. James must come from a noble family so that he dared to threaten Light to join him without scruple.
So poor tricks.
Light was fed up with these kind of boring things before. He could have left without hesitation but refused to do after James menaced him.
“Why turn down someone who invites you to play a game?” He thought so.
He was an expert who played politics before. Such a stupid trick was a game for children, in his opinion. He watched James acted with interest and laughed in his mind.
“I heard that Childe Light couldn’t cast any magic. What a pity!” James beat his fits on chest and knocked his head slightly for a while, which looked regretful so much.
He must have done enough work to learn about Light seemingly as he was able to find out so quickly about the rumor that the headmaster spread. Then Light cooperated with the shame and lamented, “You know me well, buddy.”
While in conversation, James waved waitress to come and whispered into her ear the other two didn’t know.
“Hey, man. What do you have to be so secretive about?” Light sort of jokingly asked.
“Nothing.” James smiled earnestly, “A friend of mine has looked up you so much, I ask him to join us.”
Light waved and objected, “The five elements just are gimmicks, I’m only a little illusionist.”
“Hey, buddy!” James put on a deliberate show of anger, “You’re a super genius and don’t have to lower yourself.”
Light pretended to be pleased and waved, “You’re too kind, I dare not to deserve it!”
Emma who sat side saw them as close as brothers after a long separation and didn’t figure out whether Light behaved sincerely. A mighty politician must first be a good actor, no wonder that Emma couldn’t see through Light’s mind.
Anyway, she could actually feel the trick the next James wanted to show.
A friend? Come on! A hired roughneck, more like.
It’s no doubt James wanted to cast a big shame on Light and he’s always good at humiliating someone he locked on.
That colorful crap had been watering at her for a long time but dared not to offend for her favorable background. The really the key was that Light wasn’t a nobleman on the table, he’s unable to take offense to James even if the bullshit put him in some position.
James’ father was the one of the highest officials in Tangie. Although her father was a big man in the capital, she was an outsider in this city. James often attempted to flirt with her, but Emma stayed out of his.
He kicked Light’s foot with her sneaking tiptoe under the table with no expression. However, Light seemed to know nothing she tried to do.
“Excuse me, I’ll be back soon.” Light stood up and was about to go at the direction of bathroom.
“Buddy, you’re not running away slinkingly now, are you?” Smiled James jokingly.
“Absolutely not!” Light smiled sincerely and patted softly on James’ shoulder, “I’m looking forward to seeing your friend, my bro.” As the words finished, he continued on his way.
“Excuse me.” Emma nodded for a short absence and caught up Light soon, “That sneak is just going to shame you, don’t you see that?” She whispered in a low voice with concern.
“Of course, I am.” Light tightened his black tie and petted Emma’s short, blue hair with a smile, “Thank you for caring about me. I’ll pay you back an interesting show.”
Light’s vague behavior caused a slight blush on her, but Emma didn’t still show any confliction. Then she took off a necklace consisted of dozens of pearls and a sapphire from her neck.
She shoved it into his hand and said, “You’ll be safe with that.”
“What’s this?” Light felt a strong but strange energy emitted from that big sapphire.
“Just a little talisman.” Emma downplayed it.
By judgement of her understated voice, Light definitely didn’t believe her and wanted to give it back to Emma.
“I don’t deserve such a precious treasure.”
Emma grinned and ran her tongue out at him, “It's not up to you.” She bounced and left like a nimble monkey, leaving some words behind.
“If you can catch me up …”
“My God …” Light covered his forehead with the left hand and shook head with resignation.
***********************************************
A while later, the man called James’ friend came in and pretended to be pleased to have a small talk with Light, which was obviously seen. For that Light, Emma and James were all peers but the man was a middle-aged person.
The man was in a casual dress and looked like an ordinary person, but the truth he’s a samurai at very least had been exposed in Emma’s eyes by the judgement of the strong muscles concealed in his clothes on purpose.
“I’ve heard about you so much, bro.” Said the man whose face was serious.
It’s so strange that the man who almost could be a grandpa said to him who was a teenager, Light felt.
But after the opponent acted professionally, Light didn’t find a reason not to add pawn.
“I’ve heard about you so much, too, bro.” Light choked back his nausea to say the word ‘bro’.
The man was apparent curious at what Light said, “You’ve heard me before?” Then he turned his suspicious gaze at James. The latter shook slightly and delivered the absolute negative attitude.
“Yea!” Light nodded heavily, “So much! For example, I know you’re a man.”
He waved the waitress not far away and gestured for the order, “A cup of ice water for this Mr…?” Light showed a puzzled look.
“Mr. Phil.” The man said coldly.
“Oh, yes! Mr. Phil.” Light nodded with satisfaction.
All was watched in Emma’s eyes so that she couldn’t hide her mood perfectly. Although she was expressionless outwardly, her trembling stature had betrayed her actual emotion.
Then James tried to hold back his outburst and suggested, “Why not take advantage of the fact you both get to see each other? What a rare opportunity this is! It would be brilliant if you have a little match with my friend.”
“So this is what he looks forward to.” Light got it in his mind.
It’s usual for friends had a competition in this world, Light had known it. But what James advised seemed not to be a match but a combat. Anyway he dared not to kill Light in the open but could shame or caused some imperceptible hurts on him.
“He’s a bit of sick recently.” Emma defended Light directly.
“Oh, really?” James smirked at Light for a while and shook, “Not quite like.”
Light cooperated with a cough at once and waved, “Indeed, bro. It seems I’ll harsh your vibe today. What about some other time?”
James frowned at Light slightly, “Also, do me a favor, bro light. My friend has come from far away today and he has not always interval.”
He raised a cup of tea in salute, “Wouldn’t you insulting me, would you?”
Light continued to decline, “I’m afraid that I couldn’t …”
“Pa!!!”
A sudden slap on the table from James’ right hand.
“You dare to push away a nobleman’s invitation? How dare you such an untouchable!” He roared abruptly but then calmed down immediately, “I make a toast to you now, would you receive it?”
He squinted at Light with a cold smile.
Emma knitted her brows and retorted, “I won’t permit you’re rude to my friend.”
James didn’t look at her but at Light, “You’re not gonna let a girl stand up for you, my bro?”
Emma stood up in great displeasure and was about to grasp Light to go, “Let him alone, let’s go.” Even if it wasn’t life-threatening, she didn’t want Light to suffer any humiliation.
However, Light sat motionless on the chair even she pulled hard on his left arm. On the contrary, she was pulled back on the spot he left.
“Be good, my girl. I’ve got everything covered, don’t worry.” He outstretched his hand and petted Emma’s short blue hair.
At the moment, Emma had no reason to figure it out but felt peace of mind.
She naturally trusted this man.
Light turned his gaze at James and asked, “But there is still a modicum of risk to have an illusion match, how about another one?”
He dared not to cast Genjutsu until evolved Mangekyou Sharingan even his Sharingan had a powerful ability in illusions. Light knew that a powerful illusion was enough to destroy a man’s spirit and even killed someone. He’s not at all sure of success in illusion with this middle-aged man.
“So what do you prefer?” Asked James.
“Emmmm …” Light robbed his chin and began to think a good way to make fun of him.
While Light was proceeding in his brain storm, the man who called Phil began to speak.
“What about an arm wrestle?”
“Huh?” Light paused for a while suddenly and nodded slowly, “Not bad, if you don’t mind.”
Emma was unfamiliar with the middle-aged man who was average-looking. She couldn’t figure out who he was exactly. The man wasn’t the one of most myrmidons of James she knew. Maybe he’s a new attendant as a private guard.
Samurai or illusionist?
She had no idea.
Light also had no idea what they were getting at. So what even if he lost? He didn’t think it was a shame. What if a strong mid-age defeated an ordinary teenager? It’s so righteous.
Although he didn’t think he would lose in this arm wrestle. He couldn’t imagine how much strength he had in Sage Mode, but he saw that Naruto threw a huge easily rhino into the sky like a baseball.
The rest of only confusion he wanted to figure out was their intention. What trick could the man play in an arm wrestle?
James had been tittering in his mind after heard the offer Phil gave.
Although many noble families tended to recruit Light to serve for them, noble always is noble.
Anyone should be cleaned for the process he got Emma, even including the genius Like light.
What the hell something he was! An untouchable dared to grasp his girl’s spotless hand.
All he deserved was to die!
The man who deserved Emma was only him!
Originally, he wanted Phil to smash Light’s spirit via the illusion Phil mastered at. Phil was a 7th illusionist he’d been through thick and thin to invite. And not only that, the man had an exclusive ability from the inheritance of blood – assimilating energy. The ability to activate was to touch the body of the opponent first. So therefore the man provided such a strange match.
No matter it’s spiritual mana or physical prowess, Phil could assimilate it and consumed out the subject. The consequence of severe hurt being caused by Phil was failure of making mana or prowess in the rest of lifetime.
Anyway, James tended to ruin his life.
“It’ll be so tedious if there’s no bonus for this game.” James squinted at Light.
“I think so.” Light nodded and began to give a reaction to his clone shadow in the bathroom. The clone was filled. He tended to have a try in Sage Mode in anticipation.
“If Mr. Phil wins, may I have a date with Miss Emma?” James stared at Emma.
Emma squinted at the crap she hated for a while and then she replied, “If light wins, what about apologizing to that lady in the open?” She hated man who disrespected the girl in a date so much.
Light glanced at her, “You don’t have to.”
Emma smiled at him, “No. Just because I never get used to that. Can you let me be?”
Light smiled gently, “Sure, my Lady.”
After the waitress cleaned the table, Light and the man sat down close to each other.
“Any other conditions?” Light rolled up his sleeves and put his elbow on the table.
“Yeah, the last one.” James smiled mirthlessly, “Giving up is forbidden until the one side wins.”
“What you meant is …” Light asked politely.
“The only result is victory, not including giving up.” James explained.
“Oh, I see.” Light spread wide his palm and smiled at Phil, “I wish you can show your mercy, my bro.”
The man grinned coldly and grasped his hand abruptly, “It’s too late to show your weakness. You a brat!”
“Hey, man. Watch your mouth. That’s not very polite to your buddy.” Light smiled as ever.
“Whatever you’d like to say after game is unlimited, just if you want.” Phil grasped Light’s hand tightly.
Light felt a kind of strength from his palm but not arm, then he tried his best to push the man’s arm but failed. The man’s arm stuck on the spot without movement like a statue, for his arm twice the size as Light’s.
He knew that Phil had enough strength to defeat him now, but the opponent didn’t seem to attempt to do it.
Just then, Light felt something was dragged out of his body through his right hand.
It’s his Chakra, he got it instantly.
He was a little shocked at it, “My Chakra …” He frowned at the man who was grinning at him.
“Long time to see it. So nostalgic.”
After a short surprise, Light had figured out what James wanted to do.
“How a familiar kekkeigenkai it is!” Light remembered some characters in the carton who had same ability - Hoshigaki Kisame, Naguto, Uchiha Madara, etc.
“Kekkeigenkai?” Phil murmured in his mind, “What the hell he’s talking about?” Anyway, he grasped the opponent’s energy, Light couldn’t outrun, absolutely.
“Pla!”
Light snapped his fingers abruptly then two yellow eye shadows appeared on his canthuses. His eyes turned brown and pupils were aclinic.
“Are you sure it’s ok to keep on grasping my hand?” Light smiled sincerely, “This is serious. I don’t guarantee something terrible won’t befall on you.”
This was Light’s last mercy, and also ultimatum to the man. Bullying the ignorant timid was nothing to show off for him.
“You scared?” James scorned Light, “Maybe I'll consider sparing your life if you beg me on your knees right now.”
“No.” Light shook his head at him and then stared at the man, “I’m telling you this for you own good. I’m serious, and I hope you think so.”
Phil frowned at him and began to speculate what exactly Light meant.
He’s not an idiot but a smart 7th illusionist. He had fought with the opponents much times and met many enemies who were evenly matched to him. The only reason he stood up in the end was his exclusive the inheritance of blood. He had the element of surprise the opponents didn’t know. So he was a winner, usually.
Logically, the teenager who sat opposite should notice something wrong and began to ask for help. But he didn’t.
So there must be something wrong to himself.
But what’s wrong with himself?
At this interval, he remembered the scene the young Childe came and begged him to reach out to take a lesson to a boy.
He was reluctant to show up today because it’s a shame for him to bulldoze a teenager.
The illusionists had some pride.
He disdained to do such things.
However, his family owed a favor from James’. He felt embarrassed to refuse.
So he came.
Sometimes people were the pawns in the world, after all.
It’s just that boy’s adversity, he thought so before. But right now …
“It seems to be my misfortune!”
Phil had absorbed much energies including mana and prowess, which of all could be used by himself. However, there’s something wrong in his body. Not only was he unable to assimilate apart of the energy from the teenager, but also it’s out of his control. Some raging, fierce energy was smashing his meridian crazily.
How did such a level 4th illusionist get this sort of energy?!
He couldn’t figure it out.
It didn’t matter first, what mattered now was that he must die on this rate soon if it weren’t stopped.
He had to end this game as soon as possible. He has an advantage in strength and then he tried to knock down Light’s arm. He failed, however. The boy’s arm was as hard as steel he couldn’t move a little at all.
That was impossible!
He's a man who could wrestle a bull with his bare hands, getting out of the bullring without being hurt a little as he’d like. He’d never met a teenager except for Emma who could sustain his strength.
There’s something wrong Emma noticed. She thought Light would lose soon but it seemed his boy had the upper hand.
As the minutes ticked away, Phil felt his deathbed would befall soon. He was so anxious that he sweated over on his face.
“Nice try, Mr. Phil. I told you.” Light smiled gently.
At this time, Phil realized that he met the top more less known.
After several moments of apparently painful internal struggle, he said, “Give me a break, boy.” He threw in the towel.
“Well, it depends on Mr. James.” Light glanced at James. “It’s he who made a rule not to admit defeat.”
James was astonished at the Phil’s behavior and disregarded his painful look, “Just hang on, you’re not gonna humiliate me, are you?”
The mid-aged man was filled of hesitation, for he was afraid to offend James but he was even more afraid to die.
“How could you possibly be hesitant now?” Light let out a slight sigh and shook helplessly.
Then he began to show his acting skills.
Suddenly, he pretended to be surprised at the strength from Phil.
“How could you hide it so deep?” Light was thunderstruck.
Before Phil reacted what’s going on, then he found his arm began to incline down to light’s side.
But he couldn’t manage it just now, so what happened?
Then he noticed something incredible happened to him. No! It’s the teenager opposite.
It’s not the fact that the teenager’s strength became less, on the contrary, much more! His arm inexorably declined to the opposite even if he tried his best to pull.
And then he made every endeavor to push down, but the speed of their arms had no changed, just slowly as before.
It’s so terrible! That boy must be a monster!
“Oh! You’re winning!” Light was still resistant unwillingly and confused, “Why did you give up? Are you kidding Childe James?”
Then James changed his face and snorted at Phil, “Do you have a grudge with me?”
He didn’t think Phil wanted to help him to get rid of Light, so the latter wanted to end the game via such method.
Phil was like the dumb man eating the bitter herb, he had to suffer in silence. Nobody would believe what he attempted to say even if he did it.
“It seems to be no way except for that!” He made a quick decision.
He gestured varieties of signs quickly and whispered in the chant for a while, and then he pointed towards Light with his forefinger.
“Get off me!” He shouted.
Instantly, and predictably Light’s Sharingan was activated by such an illusion. However, what Light didn’t know was his Sharingan wasn’t red as ever, but orange. And the pupils in the center were still horizontal.
A new pair of Sharingan was born.
“Interesting!” Light got the way of casting the illusion Phil released just now via his Sharingan.
“Impossible!” Phil found his illusion didn’t work at all.
How could a 4th illusionist ……!
He was a 7th illusionist indeed! A high-level psychic! How could a low-grade illusionist defeat him with easy!?
And then immediately, Light imitated the gestures and chant from Phil for a while.
“What the hell does this guy want to try?” Phil was suspicious in his mind.
After finished, Light smiled gently at him, “Of course, copy your illusion and show it again.”
“Could he read my thoughts?” Phil was shocked.
“Guess!” Light abruptly pointed Phil with his forefinger. “Try your best to take up my Chakra.”
Originally, Phil had stopped his assimilation after he noticed something was wrong. Right now, his body absorbed Light’s Chakra as fast as the pump crazily without his control.
“As your wish, too, am I right?” Light turned his eyes at James who was sitting anxiously.
James smiled awkwardly and said nothing.
In a moment, Phil’s face suddenly became swollen and got some big acnes looked ugly. Which shocked Emma a little, so did James.
“What happened to you, my friend?” James was at a little loss.
The man who was unable to control natural energy would become a stone frog according to the anime, Light knew it.
It’s not the big matter, Phil knew it. He must die if on this rate.
“I beg you, let me go.” He pleaded Light in a pathetic voice.
This was no way to survive except for Light’s pardon now, Phil knew it.
James wasn’t smart but not foolish. He got the meaning of scene in front of himself. Mr. Phil lost to Light.
Emma was astonished at the behavior of the man. The psychic’s pride was not allowed to emasculate. But the powerful psychic whom James invited was begging to Light without dignity.
How could a psychic be that?! Oh, no! How could Light make a powerful man be such ...?!
She couldn’t read this man.
“I warned you.” Light said with a serious face, “You need to pay for what you’ve done. For the last time I hope you can remember …”
Light smirked in a low voice, “I’m serious.”
As he finished, Phil’s hand connected with his began to become stone gradually and slowly.
Emma suddenly let out a real scream, attracting the attention of the guests.
“Oh, my goodness. What’s the fucking going on?” James was astounded to see that Phil’s hand became stone. He stood up with apparent tense and retreated unconsciously, “Are you the descendant of Medusa?”
As finished, he was about to escape from this demon.
“One small little thing, before I almost forget.” Light gestured and chanted for a while before he pointed James at once.
“Playing your dick in the open as you run around the edge of city, just keep going!”
Then James found his limbs were out his control, and then he began to undress his trousers as he’s going out of restaurant.
“How dare you!” He turned back his head and shouted, but his body was dragged out inevitably.
Some rubbernecks gathered at the gate to watch him avidly. It’s rare to see the childe from Rothschild humiliate himself, after all.
The old supervisor, who had been awaited James on the side of the wagon parked in the front of the gate, saw James came out.
“Childe, are you a bit horny?” The supervisor noticed his Master had picked his diminutive dick from the trousers, “Would you like me to provide you with some girls now?”
“Are you fucking blind! I’m trapped in the illusion!”
James bellowed at the old keeper, “Damn it! Go get my father, now! Move! Move! Move!”
While in the conversation, James had started to play his little bird as he’s running.
“Where are you going, Master James?” The supervisor asked anxiously.
“Leave me alone for a pause, ask for my dad!” He shouted.
On the other side in the restaurant, the stone had crept at the spot of Phil’s shoulder. The man’s painful expression couldn’t touch Light at all.
If he was on the position of weakness, then maybe the situation would be reversed or worse he couldn’t imagine.
Even there’s a good chance that he’d died.
But he really didn’t want to make blood feud with anyone, lessons were enough.
Then he released his grip on Phil’s hand, then the fossilization to Phil stopped.
“Game’s over.” He patted Phil’s shoulder and held up Emma who had been in daze.
“Hold on!” The man blurted out, “What’s your name?”
Emma woke up from the lost and was hostile at him, “You’re not entitled to have his name.”
Light gestured for no need and said, “Light, Light Uchiha.”
“So what? Do you want revenge on me?” Questioned Light.
“None at all.” Phil smirked wryly, “It’s time for me to pay the piper. It’s not your business. On the contrary, I’ll reciprocate your favor in future.”
Light was curious indeed, “Why?”
“You could have killed me, but you didn’t.” Said calmly the man.
What the man said surprised Light a bit, then he smiled at him, “As I said, you’re interesting in every respect.”
As the words over, Light led Emma out of the restaurant.
The man called Phil lost in his thoughts as staring at his stone arm, some words that he wouldn’t get reached his ears …
“Any other places for dinner?” Asked the teenager.
“It’s not enough for you just now?” The girl was confused.
“Come on! How could I enjoy food in the situation like that?”
“And no wonder. Me either. I know a great restaurant not far away.”
“By the way, didn’t you really get what coffee is?”
“……”

A Universe of Bloody Evolution
The Void was never meant to be opened to the Multiverse. The horrors waiting inside it should have never seen the light. And yet, the biggest mistake in the history of creation led to the impossible. In an event later known as the Outbreak, gates appeared in the first Universe, and with them, the Void was free. For ages the Void destroyed universe after universe, spreading its power in every direction, leaving only death and pain behind. But before every Universe met its end, it still had a chance. A small part of the population that survived the initial Outbreak and was granted a mysterious System to help them fight against the dangers that came from the Void. They were the Multiverse's last hope even if they couldn't stop the collapse of their own world. And so the cycle continued until the 36th Outbreak came. Leo Hale, a young reporter from Wolford, was one of the lucky ones to survive when the majority of Earth's population turned into monsters straight out of nightmares. Thrust into a constant battle for his life, Leo was determined to push forward and find his remaining family. Even if it meant sacrificing what was left of his humanity. After all, you either adapt or die. Story of progression and evolution with my take at the post-apocalyptic genre. Unlike most monster evolution stories where the monster rushes to gain human form, here I plan to do something quite the opposite. After all, in a world where almost everything wants to kill you, being human can be hard. Warnings are here to give me the freedom to write whatever is necessary. This is my first original novel. Also English isn't my native language so any feedback is welcome. Remember that even if initially this story takes place on Earth, fictional places, streets, etc will appear. Release Schedule: Monday - Wednesday - Friday Average chapter length: 2000-2500 words (There might be exceptions as is the case with some of the first chapters - most of them are longer.)
8 381Andur's Oneshot collection
This is just a Oneshot Collection with story ideas. I'll add stories when I get the inspiration. Eventually, I'll turn them into full stories. ——————————————————————————————— Reading Order of the Multiverse-Books ——————————————————————————————— Author's Comment: I was asked about reading my work on other sites. The answer is simple: Currently I am not active in any other networks than royalroadl.com. Only here, I correct mistakes and errors. If you read it anywhere else and have to pay for it, or have to deal with an annoying amount of advertisement, You Are Being Betrayed. You would do good if you make other people in that network aware of it. This is a free project of mine for the purpose of having fun. And if people try to make money with it you shouldn't bother visiting their website. The only one whom I actually allowed to have my work on his website is Armaell who invested the time to compile them into pdf.
