《The Whitechapel Murderer》The Bar Chit Chat

Jessica's eyes widened at what Hebrew told him. But she still wasn't sure.
"And...how do you know?" She asked, folding her arms above her chest.
And as an answer, he just pointed towards his temple with a smirk making her roll her eyes.
Twenty Minutes ago...
Hebrew was walking down the street from the main road as he asked the driver to leave him there. It was getting dark with every passing second but it was still bright. You know that time of the evening when the sky gets orangish due to the setting sun. Walking down he made sure his face was covered with a scarf, only his eyes could be seen.
His slate grey coloured overcoat and black scarf along with black coat had helped him disguise well. Walking along gradually he slowed down when his eyes fell on the surroundings near his house.
"A guy over there...and the other two over there..." He scanned.
He could see a man standing just opposite his house leaning on a lamppost trying his best to act as if he was reading a newspaper. While the other two men near the flower shop talked to each other quite generally while their eyes kept looking at how Hebrew was walking.
Their eyes narrowed as they looked at everyone passing through, suspiciously. Hebrew knew they...were waiting for him.
How he knew you might think, no, the reason wasn't his beady eyes. It was just so obvious being a detective. They kept standing there but alternately transferring the whole weight of their body from one leg to another as if they were standing there for too long making their legs ache.
While standing there being completely normal, the way they stare at everyone passing by made it so obvious that they were waiting for someone.

Well...it now seems the reason was his beady eyes.
How he confirmed it was only them, you might ask...
It was confirmed when the one standing below the lamppost looked at his watch and on the window of his apartment. He then looked at the other two standing near the flower shop and one of them standing near the flower shop shrugged, quite slightly but noticeable.
As Hebrew checked out on them he quickly turned to his right in an alley.
Standing just at the threshold of the alley he gained many strange stares.
"It was all so quiet, Ms Lennon added oil to the almost dying out fire."
Hebrew mumbled quite ignoring the stares as he looked out and kept his face hidden by everyone passing through there.
"Dang!" He exclaimed being frustrated looking at his watch and he again looked at the street in front of him. It was past seven and he really needed to reach his house, Eric might arrive today he was quite sure.
Hebrew once again looked outside and was quite frustrated as he saw Jessica approaching his apartment.
"Why is she here?" He gritted his teeth.
He knew that if she went near his building in which probably only he lives, then the people outside might attack her too. And he knew, it was dangerous.
He sighed in frustration and he felt helpless. If he approached Jessica then it might create suspicion and if he didn't then it might create a danger for her.
"What the hell should I do?!" And then his eyes fell on the blind spots of the streetlights. The spots where everyone vanishes for a second.
"This might work!" He mumbled and started approaching Jessica quietly...
Thinking about what happened just a while ago Hebrew drank his whole drink in one go.

"May I ask you a question, Mr Hebrew?" She gulped a mouthful of hock down.
"What else do you think you do Ms Lennon? Another glass please!" He looked at the bartender.
Sighing in frustration she took a sip of her drink again, "Why...are those thugs after you?"
"Why do you think I might answer you?" He looked at her.
"Cause we are a team-"
"Stop the act now!" He grinned his teeth again and made his way towards the corner of the bar, away from everyone holding the glass of hock.
"Why do you have sudden mood changes, Mr Hebrew?" She followed him.
"One second you help me out and then you yell the other?"
He stopped and turned back to her, "Cause you might be a betrayer but...I am not."
"What do you mean? Let's clear it out. When we met out of the station you had a cold shoulder towards me. Why do you have sudden changes?"
"You wanna clear it out? I wanna clear it out too!"
"If you wanted to solve this case all alone, then you must work hard. Do you even know what your actions have reflected? Do you...even know what your immaturity has led to?!" His low voice was enough to make anyone understand how greatly furious he was.
"What...do you mean?" She whispered.
"I would've never butted in between, I was leading my life so peacefully. But how could you...all of a sudden expose out something so confidential? Do you even know these people of Whitechapel? Do you know how much...they hate me?"
He gulped down his whole drink again and made his way away from her, "Why do they hate you, Mr Hebrew? Though I don't know you much still I can't believe you...were wrong five years ago. I still can't believe that the person who's afraid of these small thugs outside can commit a crime."
He stopped and she kept speaking.
"I don't know what happened five years ago, but I can't trust the articles calling you a fake detective and a criminal."
She turned him around earning a deep glare.
"I just can't understand what happened five years ago. But you know what irritates me the most out of all." She stabbed a finger on his chest. "You...never opposed them, you never seriously defended yourself. Why did you do so, Mr Hebrew? Why?..."
Holding her by shoulders he clenched his jaws,
"You're too naive to understand what happened five years ago or to certify someone's character, miss. You don't know how this world works so keep on doing what you're assigned, quietly. I am no longer on the case so...keep distances from me. I am no good for you..."
And he walked away leaving her alone with her questions...
