Amaris picked up her phone and dialed the number.

She waited impatiently as the ringing echoed. Twisting her blonde curls, looking out the window, staring at the window, she felt nervous for no reason. Her heart beat faster as the instrumental continued.

Finally...

"Hello, this is the OSS Bank customer service. How can I help you?"

"Hi, I'm looking for Kyle. Kyle Rein."

Kaito's head spun at the voice. It was out of the ordinary.

"He's not here at the moment, would you like to leave a message?"

"Yes, please, I'm Amaris Colt. I was calling to agree to acting in the advertisement."

"Am...Amaris?" Kaito stuttered, his hands shook as he jotted down her name on a paper.

"Yes, Amaris Colt."

He composed himself before continuing, "So Amaris Colt called regarding the advertisement. I'll tell him when he gets back. Is there anything else?"

"No, thank you."

The line went dead, as did Kaito. His face turned deathly pale and he traced the name he had written before suddenly fainting.

It's because of her... in my dream, she didn't stay under control. She went on to take my heart. Now, I don't know why...she's killing me.

"Kaito. The phone."

No answer...

"Kaito? Kaito!"

"He's not breathing! Someone! Help!"

"Call the ambulance!"

"Kaito never really gets sick, his record accounts for it. Why did he suddenly...?" a co-worker whispered.

More people cluttered round to stare at him, sitting with his face on the desk, unconscious.

He was lifted onto the back of another co-worker.

Slowly, with difficulty, he opened his eyes a slit. His fingers wrapped around the slip of paper, before he was carried off to the nearest hospital.

"Kaito, stay with me. Wake up. Wake up!" a colleague cried, running by his side.

Kaito lapsed back into unconsciousness and his fingers uncurled slightly.

The piece of paper slid unnoticed onto the floor. A few pairs of feet crushed and stained the words with the mud. The words so cherished by him...

"What do I have on today's schedule?"

"Nothing, you were off today."

"Oh, I was...I must have forgotten."

The first co-worker stopped and watched Kaito disappear into the hospital across the road. He sighed and turned back to his desk when a slip of paper caught his eye...

"Isn't this the person he was talking to before he fainted?" he asked aloud.

****

"Ms. Colt, someone wants to speak to you."

"Is this Amaris?"

"Yes."

"Do you remember Kaito?"

"Ye...yes, why?"

"He fainted after a call with Amaris Colt. He's at **H hospital now. But listen, he has been lapsing in and out of consciousness for two hours...."

Amaris didn't care to wait for the speaker to finish. She hung up and quickly flagged a taxi. She jumped in and gave the destination despite the calls to slow down from her attendants.

Kaito...wait...I'm coming.

****

"Amaris..."

"Kaito! What happened?"

She ran to his bedside and held his hand. A surge of pain flowed from where she touched him. It was like a high-voltage bolt of electricity flowing though, but Kaito grit his teeth and hid the pain.

Amaris...you've gotten...prettier. Ow...it hurts. The pain is close to unbearable...BUT, I won't let go again. Even if it kills me...I won't let go. (Kaito)

Kaito smiled and called her name.

"Yes?"

"Let's dream again. Let it last forever. You and me. We'll dream forever...together."

"Kaito..." a tear slipped out.

"Amaris...I wanted to tell you that I'm sorry. I wanted to tell you that I missed you. I wanted to tell you that I didn't forget for a minute after that day. I wanted to tell you...that I love you."

Kaito let out a gasp and smiled.

You'll be my death one day. But I won't let go...not for a second. You're an uncurable disease. A disease that I love.(Kaito)

The strength left his hand, but the fingers clung tightly to hers.

Amaris stared in shock as reality hit her. She dared not cry, she dared not let go.

She bit her lip till the blood came...along with the dream.

"Amaris..."

"I'm back...in a dream."

"Amaris..."

"Yes?"

"This is the last dream we'll ever share..."

"Kaito..."

"It's the only way I would ever be with you. Even for a day, for an hour, for a minute, it'd be worth it....even if it kills me for an infinite number of times....even if you were the cause of my death....I love you. Because... for this last dream I'd be with you. No wall would ever be able to come between us...ever again."
