《Valkyries and Blade Dancers》Downtown Battle at Early Twilight

It had been roughly half an hour since Suzuran had called Honami from a payphone just outside of the hotel she was staying in. The sun was close to setting and looking at the clock on the wall, it was just past six. As the hot water of the shower poured over her, she began sorting through her thoughts, putting together a timeline in her head concerning the events of the day.

In the morning, she had awoken as normal, just past five-thirty. Of course, seeing as Honami was her best friend, she also woke up at the same time. Together, the two girls engaged in some morning training, jogging along the road near the inn they were staying at. Finishing at seven, the two girls retired back to the inn and began preparing and by seven-thirty, they were finished and went to the Origami mansion to prepare for the tournament.

The preliminaries began at nine and ended at around eleven-thirty, where the girls were allowed a lunch break. Once that was concluded, the girls were gathered in the main stage for the finals which were held at twelve-thirty. However, Noa attacked Nanae Origami and fled with Suzuran tagging along. They made a pit stop at Yasaka Daijin Shrine at fourteen hundred before Noa revealed her plan to hitchhike on a truck. They hopped on at fourteen-fifteen and hopped off an hour later in Shibuya. Currently, they are lying low in a Shibuya hotel, booking a room there at sixteen hundred after having shopped around in the city for disguises. Suzuran went outside herself earlier to place a call to Honami which brings her mental map to the present.

Suzuran turned off the faucet and grabbed the unused towel, drying herself off. She then put on the same clothes she had worn earlier as she had no choice. I do hope we won't be wearing the same clothes the entire time we're on the run... I should suggest to Noa for us to buy some other clothing. Specifically, underwear. Exiting the bathroom, she posed the suggestion, "Hey, Noa, we should go out again to do some clothes shopping. I don't know about you but I'd rather not wear the same underwear for more than two days."

"Hmm," Noa said, deep in thought. "Yeah, I think we should. Let's make it quick."

"We should also buy some dinner."

"Of course. We need the energy to keep running."

The two girls then set out of their room, going down the stairs into the main lobby, where the receptionist lady that had helped them earlier was still there. "Hello, girls! Going out?"

Suzuran put on her best smile and replied, "Yes! Since we have some free time, we're thinking about splurging on the money the school gave to us on clothes and food!"

"Oh, dear me, you girls sure are naughty."

"Fufu, please keep it a secret between us~," Suzuran impishly smirked.

"Oho, alright. Promise me that you won't stay out too late, alright?"

"We won't~!"

The two girls then brazenly exited the hotel lobby and once outside, they put on their hoods. After they were a ways away from the entrance, Noa jabbed, "I did not know you were such a good actor."

"In my position as president of the drama club in Osafune Girls' Academy, it's better to have as many faces as possible," Suzuran quipped back. "It's not so much dissociative identity disorder but more like I just instinctively know which of my many faces to put on at any given time. Although, I do have problems with restraining myself when I clash with swords."

"I see, so that explains why you looked so giddy during the tournament."

"I'm sorry you had to see that."

Noa looked at her incredulously before laughing. "Oh no, it's fine. I just can't help but wonder. Which of your faces is the true Suzuran Arisugawa?"

Suzuran averted her eyes, not answering the question. They then arrived at the mall and the two girls quickly dove into the section for females. The two girls had relatively different tastes in clothing with Noa going for more reserved ones while Suzuran liked the bolder ones. They decided to buy three sets of outfits, one to wear, one to change into, and one set of pajamas. In terms of underwear, they both decided it would be better to buy five pairs each, both top and bottom. After purchasing the times, the girls walked out of the store in their casualwear, their first stop being the bathroom so that they could change out of their used underwear.

Suzuran exited first and stood outside, waiting for Noa. She was wearing a black one-piece dress with a black cardigan over it while her legs sported knee-high socks. She also had a cartwheel hat atop her head and was sucking on a lollipop. Noa left the bathroom and said, "Alright, let's go." Noa wore a T-shirt with a button-up black sweater and a plain black skirt. She also had black pantyhose that went up to her waist.

The two girls hoisted their guitar cases that held no guitar but a sword and walked out of the mall. The two girls stopped by Ichiran Shibuya for their dinner. Seeing as they both enjoyed ramen, it was the perfect meal for them. Both girls ordered the tonkotsu ramen at its largest size but they had different toppings. For Suzuran, she liked her food spicy so she asked for extra zest while Noa liked mixing small amounts of soy sauce into hers. They eventually found out that they were hungrier than they thought and both asked for a kaedama.

"Phew... I seriously ate a lot..." Suzuran mumbled as she patted her stomach after exiting the restaurant.

"No kidding. Thank goodness they were holding a special discount event in light of the owner's daughter."

The two girls then retired back to their hotel but on their way there, a girl dressed in a traditional all-black kimono and hakama, an outfit used in kendo were tailing them. She remained out of sight, undetected by the two girls she was pursuing. Her outfit, of course, attracted attention but she paid the eyes on her no mind as she had no interest in entertaining the audience. She simply continued her course of following the two girls.

Now that they were back in the apartment, there was one fatal issue that they needed to attend to.

Suzuran waited with bated breath as Noa drew her okatana. She asked, "Well?"

Noa closed her eyes, focusing her mind as she held her sword aloft in a ready position while sitting in seiza. "Mmm, yes, I can generate utsushi now. I've rested for long enough."

"Personally, I'd say you're too rested," Suzuran quipped.

"Oh, really? Want a go?"

"No thank you. Oh, by the way, your okatana is double-bladed. How come?"

"It's an ancient style of swordsmithing called kissaki moroha. It's also called the Kogarasumaru-style which is why the sword's previous name is Kogarasumaru. Although now under my ownership, the blade is called Yatagarasu."

"That's interesting... My own sword, Suijingiri Kanesada, was previously known as Chidori. Any idea why they were renamed?"

"I don't know."

"Speaking of which, since your sword is double-bladed, it'd make sense for you to perform a thrusting maneuver."

"Excuse me?"

"You know when you attacked the Origami family head and was stopped?"

"... You were able to see that?"

"Yeah, just barely! Seriously, that's the fastest jin'i I've ever seen! That on top of your flawless technique just took my breath away. Oh, but I'm curious about your other techniques. You use Shinto-ryu, right?"

"... Yes, I am a student of the Kashima Shinto-ryu."

"I was particularly interested in your sword style because I'm also a student of the Shinto-ryu; I study the Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto-ryu."

"Tenshin Shoden Katori Shinto-ryu, huh? I see, that explains your swordsmanship."

"Oh, oh, in your fight against the blonde girl, you used shigi no hagaeshi, right? If she had realized what you were doing, it would've been a loss for you instead...!"

Noa couldn't help but shrink away at the sudden onslaught of praise. It seems that Suzuran had swapped from her normal personality to the personality she exhibits when excitedly talking about swords. She wondered if she'd have to put up with this every single time the conversation turns to swords.

At the same time.

Nanae Origami's office.

"It seems we've managed to get on the trail of the two girls," Nanae declared. "As such, we will move forward with the plan to capture Noa Hiiragi and Suzuran Arisugawa. You two will stay here and assist in this plan."

"Consider your order received," Chikage replied.

"Understood, ma'am," Madoka echoed.

The two principals got up from their seats and exited the room, walking down the hallway toward the elevator lobby. Chikage pressed the button and they waited in silence for the car to come. They also entered the elevator silently and didn't speak a word until they had reached the main lobby of the building with the building across the street being their destination. As they walked through the main lobby and toward the automatic sliding glass doors, Madoka quipped, "I wish she could've at least said that they wouldn't be rough with the girls."

"I don't think that's possible since I've heard that Renpu has offered to help with the search."

"Oh, dear... Things always get messy when Azusa-chan gets involved..." Madoka sighed.

Once the sliding glass doors closed back behind them, a voice called out to them, "Principal!"

"... Mitsumine-san?" Chikage started. "Shouldn't you be-?"

"Principal, I have a request to make!" Honami began, bowing her head. "Please allow me to search for Arisugawa-san!"

Concurrently.

The designated traditional inn where the students of Osafune Girls' Academy are staying at.

"... I can't believe that they're not even allowing us to go home," Reina Nekoyanagi mumbled. She alongside the remaining representative of Osafune Girls' Academy, Kaguya Nakamura, were currently acting as the leaders of the students. After all, they were the other two members of the tournament representatives and everyone had no problems with following them in the missing Suzuran's place.

Kaguya added, "They also called in Principal Serizawa... What does Nanae-sama want with her?"

"I mean, she's the principal of the school the criminal goes to..."

"Hey, don't call Suzuran-oneesama a criminal!" Kaguya yelped.

"What else could she be right now!?" Reina cried. "Besides, even Honami-neesama hasn't returned yet... What is she doing...?"

"Honami-ojousama, we have successfully managed to pinpoint the location of the vocal data you sent us. It came from a payphone in Shibuya Ward."

"Shibuya Ward? Alright, thank you." Honami hung up, having finished getting the information she needed from her old butler. She then charged the taxi driver, "Please take me to Shibuya Ward." The driver silently nodded and started the car, driving out of the parking lot and toward the area given.

At the same time.

Both Suzuran and Noa had tucked themselves into the two beds in their room, having turned in earlier than normal to recover the energy they had lost that day. Suzuran closed her eyes, drifting off to the land of dreams, when Noa suddenly said, "You're a weird person."

"Wha-?"

"Why don't you ask?"

"Ask what?"

"I don't know. Perhaps the reason why I want to take the head of Nanae Origami?"

"... Does this relate to the thing you told me you had to do this afternoon at Yasaka Daijin Shrine? You must kill the head of the family no matter what?"

"Yes."

"I see... The only reason why I'm not asking is that that's something you should tell me on your own terms. I am not the type of person to pry."

"You really are weird."

"I'll take that as a compliment."

The two girls then proceeded to drift off to sleep.

Noa dreamt.

She dreamt of the days when she was young.

When she was still able to talk to her mother who was now deceased.

When she kneeled down by her mother's side when she was ailing from a life full of regret.

When she felt the warmth leave her mother's hand as she passed away in her sleep.

Suddenly, she shot up in her bed.

It was already the morning of the next day.

The 26th Day of October.

Outside of the Shibuya Excel Hotel Tokyu.

Honami had waited until the following day for her hunt for her best friend. She simply could not force her body to keep going once she had arrived in Shibuya at around eleven-thirty at night. Steeling herself, she walked into the hotel and marched straight for the receptionist. Fortunately and unknowingly for her, the receptionist she was talking to was the same one that helped Suzuran and Noa the previous evening. "Excuse me, miss."

"Ye-Yes?" she asked, her voice taking on a confused tone.

"Would you happen to have two Toji staying in this hotel?" Honami inquired, holding up the identification card of herself that was given to her by the Special Sword Administration Bureau.

The receptionist was now more confused. "To-Toji-san? Um... I don't have a clue."

"I see... Then what about two junior high-age schoolgirls?"

"Ah, then I've met them," she replied. "They should be on the second floor..."

"Thank you very much, ma'am." Honami bowed and the men that had come with her all moved as one to the second floor. Arriving there, they hit up the room in question with Honami throwing the door open. "Suzu!"

However, she was too late for the room was empty. The window was open and the bed was a mess with nothing else of note remaining in the room.

Meanwhile.

Inside the halls of Shibuya Station.

Suzuran and Noa were walking through the crowded corridors, their guitar cases that held their okatana on their shoulders, and a simple suitcase in their free hand which contained their spoils from the previous day of shopping. They had both successfully escaped from the hotel before anyone had found them. Suzuran silently apologized to the hotel staff for leaving their room in such a mess and not checking out with them the normal way but they had no choice. Noa grumbled, "How...? How were they able to find us so quickly?"

".... I'm sorry," Suzuran apologized. "I'm really sorry. This must have been my fault."

"What do you mean?" Noa asked.

".... I called my friend from a payphone to tell her that I was alright," she replied. "I didn't think she'd be able to trace the call...!"

"The quicker we're out of here, the safer we are," Noa urged. "We should go to a place where there's a lot of people so that we could hide in plain sight."

"... I never once said that we could use this time to sightsee!"

Currently, the two girls were in Harajuku District, hiding in plain sight amongst the mobs of locals and tourists (although mostly tourists). They were in disguise so they could proudly show off their appearances, although their countenances were slightly marred by the guitar cases on their backs on suitcases in their hands. They both were wearing the same outfit they wore the previous evening as they only wore it for a good four hours or so and as such, were still clean.

"You told me to take us to a place where there's a lot of people and this was the first place to came to mind! Besides, there's a lot of locals and tourists wearing casual dress like us so it'd be far harder to locate us, no?"

"Today seems especially busy considering that it's Friday."

"Hey, hey, quit standing around! We're in the Harajuku! We'd stand out if all we do is do nothing!"

Suzuran grabbed Noa's arm and dragged her along and they practically spent the entire day browsing through the district, playing arcades, drinking tea, and a weird incident of Noa acting entirely out of character upon seeing mint-flavored ice cream with chocolate chips sprinkled on it; Suzuran was surprised at how hard Noa defended her love for that ice cream flavor. She shook her head and wondered what Honami was up to. (At the moment, Honami was standing guard outside Shibuya Station while the two girls were near Meiji Jingu-mae and Harajuku Station quite a way north.)

It was already afternoon by the time Noa suggested that they find a new place to stay. Looking at the clock in Omotesando Station, Suzuran noted that it was sixteen-thirty. While the two girls wondered where they should hide out next, a screeching sound that can only be heard by Toji pierced through the air. Noa immediately reached into her pocket and pulled out her analog Spectrum Meter. "This...!?"

"An aradama!?" Suzuran exclaimed. "That's not good at all...! This is Harajuku and the streets are nowhere near close to being empty!"

"It's pretty close by..."

"There's only one, right?"

"Yes, and it hasn't moved from its spawning location."

"In that case, we need to quickly dispatch it so that it doesn't bring harm to the civilians." Suzuran looked in the direction where the yousai inside of the spectrum meter was pointing to. Thankfully, it pointed toward Yoyogi Park and a particularly sparse place inside of the space to boot. However, Suzuran sensed that she was the only one moving. She turned around and asked, "Come on, let's go."

".... No, leave it be."

"But why?"

"We don't have time for it... Besides, the Sword Administration will deploy some Toji to deal with it anyway."

"Okay, sure, I can see your logic but since we're already in the area, we might as well destroy it before casualties start piling up!"

"Again, it'd be less than ideal if the Toji catch us while they're eliminating the aradama. Furthermore, even if we defeat the aradama, we have no way of collecting the yousai which would simply spread into the area."

"That's far better than having the aradama wreak havoc!"

Yousai and aradama—.

By definition, an aradama is a "raging spirit". It is a conglomeration of the impurity known as yousai (carries the definition of "slag") that has achieved a sort of pseudo-sentience. They take on the shape of anything from insects to avian creatures. There are even types that can possess normal humans although the cases of this happening in the modern day have been in rapid decline; in the past, however, such cases of aradama-possessed humans were a dime a dozen. Due to its supernatural properties, the only effective weapon against the aradama are the Toji's okatana (which itself carries the definition of "honorable sword(s)").

Aradama are classified in terms of their relative size and strength which itself is based on the amount of yousai the aradama was originally composed of (however, it is possible for already existing aradama to grow stronger by absorbing neaby yousai). The scale used by the Special Sword Administration Bureau uses letters with the least destructive being E-ranked aradama and the most destructive being EX-ranked aradama. The values of the scale are E, D, C, B, A, S, SS, SSS, and EX. The aradama that appeared during the Great Catastrophe of Tokyo Bay 15 years ago is the only aradama given the designation of "EX" due to its absurd size and incredible strength.

As a rule of thumb, aradama no larger than the average rodent are E-ranked; aradama no larger than the average dog are D-ranked; aradama no larger than the average horse are C-ranked; aradama no larger than the average hippopotamus are B-ranked; aradama no larger than the average elephant are A-ranked; aradama no larger than the average carnivorous dinosaur are S-ranked; aradama no larger than the average herbivorous dinosaur are SS-ranked; and any aradama larger than that is SSS-ranked.

In terms of Noa's apprehension of defeating the aradama, this concern is well-founded due to the fact that yousai is a relatively venomous substance for those without resistance to them; naturally, Toji have high resistance to its corrupting influence and some humans also have natural resistance although certainly not as much as Toji. In opposition to Noa's worries, Suzuran's idea of destroying it is more cost-effective as the corrupting influence of yousai is less destructive than an aradama destroying infrastructure, especially considering that it is the infrastructure of Harajuku, a section of Shibuya Ward in Japan's capital city of Tokyo.

"Besides, if we left it alone simply because we didn't want to get caught, it'll eventually come back to bite you," Suzuran asserted. "There's no guarantee that you wouldn't be given yet another criminal charge stating that you left an aradama to its own devices and indirectly caused the destruction of Shibuya. I'm sure that in your mind the head of the Origami family would certainly do that."

"... Fine," Noa replied, giving in. "Let's make short work of it."

Meanwhile.

Honami had given up her watch on the hotel and had instead returned to the car, hoping that she'd be able to catch herself. Suddenly, her mobile device vibrated. Her heart raced as she reached into her pocket to pull it out, praying that it'd be an update on her best friend's location. However, she was disappointed, the phone showing her that it detected an aradama. Ngh... why now? "Excuse me, I need to head to Yoyogi Park. I have detected an aradama in that area." Honami opened the door of the car which was currently in a parking lot near the Harajuku Station (as she had been able to trace Suzuran and Noa on security cameras in this area) and added, "I'll head to the scene personally!"

It was a ghastly sight.

Even if the area was relatively sparse, there were still scores upon scores of people, both foreign and local with the same expression of pure terror on their faces. Of course, this was well-deserved as they were all sprinting as fast as they can away from the aradama bearing down on them. At a glance, Suzuran guessed that the aradama is at least B-ranked; it was the size of a horse but its wings raised its threat level. Its appearance was like a massive eagle but with insect legs growing off of the body and having the mouth of a shark.

Suzuran threw off her hoodie (which she had put on earlier since wind chill made her feel cold), revealing the casualwear she had underneath, and (gently) ripped open her guitar case, retrieving her okatana. Entering utsushi, she yelled, "We're with the Special Religious Military Unit! Everyone who is able to, please escape from the aradama!" After Noa tore off her own hoodie and drew her okatana, Suzuran asked, "I'll take point, you try cornering it."

"Got it." Suzuran nodded before charging the monster with jin'i but it proved to be able to react to her, avoiding her kiri-otoshi with ease as it took off back into the sky. The monster flew around for a moment before rearing its ugly head toward Noa, divebombing her. Noa slammed aside the monster's face, throwing it off course and eliciting a screech from it, as it tried flying away but Noa slashed again at the monster's wings. She failed to take off enough for the monster to lose its capability of flight, however. "Ngh...! It's hard! Suzuran!"

"Got it!" Suzuran ran back from where she first attacked the boss with her jin'i, focusing strength into her legs. "Hachimanriki!" She jumped into the air to instantly close in on the aradama and slammed its head with her okatana at the same spot where Noa landed her attack earlier. The force of her attack was enough to blast the aradama straight into the ground, gouging out a crater 25 meters wide and 6 meters deep.

Hachimanriki—.

Quite literally the "Power of Hachiman" (with Hachiman being a Japanese deity of war), Hachimanriki is an offensive-based Toji technique that focuses on physical power hence its name. Via the user's connection with their okatana, the user can summon what can only be described as divine strength for an instant. The technique works by exponentially increasing the kinetic energy of a specific movement a Toji makes with the most common example being a punch. Unlike jin'i, Hachimanriki is a technique that only affects the user's striking power and has minimal effects on their speed or agility.

However, as is the case with jin'i, Hachimanriki has five levels to its use. An interesting element to note is that increasing the power of Hachimanriki by advancing in level is possible and it also shortens the backlash on the user's body. It is surmised that lower levels cannot use the divine strength granted by Hachimanriki in succession because they can only multiply their strength by so much and since, like jin'i, it is possible to raise the level of one's Hachimanriki, it is a widely accepted theory that this training simply increases the Toji's fortitude so that they could draw out more divine power with less drawbacks.

In the case of its stages, the first level multiplies kinetic energy by 4 times and carries a "cooldown" of 10 minutes; the second level multiplies kinetic energy by 16 times and carries a "cooldown" of 1 minute; the third level multiplies kinetic energy by 64 times and carries a "cooldown" of 10 second; the fourth level multiplies kinetic energy by 256 times and carries a "cooldown" of 1 second; the fifth level multiplies kinetic energy by 1,024 times and is the only level that can be used and reused instantly.

Both girls exited from their utsushi and examined the corpse of the aradama. "What should we do about the retrieval of the yousai? Again, as I've said, we don't have the means to do so."

"Ah..." Suzuran mumbled, suddenly remembering that this was also on the job list.

"I shall retrieve it."

Immediately, both Noa and Suzuran reentered battle stances, hands on the hilts of their swords. Suzuran relaxed slightly upon seeing who it was, however, she did not remove her hand from the hilt of her sword as Honami had her sword drawn and pointed at the duo. "Honami...?"

"Tch, our pursuer is from Osafune?" Noa mumbled, drawing her sword.

"Wa-Wait a minute, Noa-san! Honami is my best friend! The one I contacted yesterday!" she exclaimed. "What could you be doing all the way in Shibuya? It's quite a ways away from Kamakura."

"My Spectrum Finder detected an aradama and I was simply deployed to the scene," she quipped. "It seems that you two have already eliminated it. This will be the one and only time in my life I will thank an aradama since because of it, I was led to you."

Noa scoffed, "If you so claim to be Suzuran's best friend, why do you have your okatana trained on her?"

"I am Suzu's best friend," Honami declared, entering utsushi. "As her best friend, I'm going to save her!"

Noa replied wih her own utsushi as she prepared to fight while Suzuran blubbered, "Wa-Wait, you two! Please, just put down your okatana for a second!"

"I would if she'd do it but it seems she has no intention to."

"Honami...!"

"Listen, Suzu. Principal Serizawa promised me that if I could have you come back with me right now, you wouldn't be punished so severely."

".... Suzuran, this is your chance. Go."

"Principal Serizawa also has a condition. You must accompany us as well, Hiiragi-san!"

Noa refused, "That is the one condition that I cannot abide to. It seems that we have to resort to fighting after all."

"Yes, of course. I will use force to make you come with me!"

"No," Suzuran announced. She used jin'i to step in between the two girls that had charged at each other, her own utsushi up as she latched her hands on both of their sword arms, preventing them from clashing. Both girls struggled to break free but Suzuran was a tad stronger so she was able to keep them both sealed. "Stop fighting...! I am not abandoning you, Noa-san. As for you, Honami, I'm sorry but I cannot afford to go home yet. I must see through my duty of helping Noa-san to the end for that is how I live by my sword. Besides... I need to know the true identity of the Origami family head."

" "What...?" " the two girls mumbled as Suzuran let go, seeing as they both weren't going to clash again.

"So you were able to see it...!?" Noa muttered.

"Yes, back when Noa attacked the Origami head, I saw her pull out two okatana from empty space... and in her hair, I saw something. I don't know what it was but all I know is that it's an aradama...!"

"An aradama!?" Honami stuttered. "How is that possible...!? She's the head of the Origami family and the great hero that vanquished the aradama fifteen years ago!"

"That's false," Noa asserted. "That thing is the aradama from 15 years ago in the form of Nanae Origami!"

"Then..."

"Yes," Noa confirmed. "The Origami family, the Special Sword Administration Bureau, and the Five Traditions... They're all under the control of an aradama."

"In any case, Honami, I cannot leave Noa-san alone. Now that I know this, I cannot worm my way out of assisting her in uncovering the truth as I made the decision to help her escape. So please...!"

Honami closed her eyes as she dismantled her utsushi and returned her sword to its sheath. "Haah... It seems nothing I say will change your mind, will it...?"

"Yes. I'm sorry, Honami."

"No, it's fine." Honami then pulled out a fresh batch of baked cookies and handed it to Suzuran. "Here, you can have these. "

"Honami's cookies! Yay!!"

"All of your other items was repossessed so I couldn't retrieve them."

"I'm sorry..." Suzuran hung her head before going starry-eyed over her prize.

Honami then walked over to Noa and bowed to her. "Please, Hiiragi-san. Take care of Suzu for me."

".... I will." Noa turned around and walked away, followed by Suzuran. She kept walking for a moment before stopping and turning around. She then faced forward again, chasing after Noa. The two girls disappeared into the evening sky, riddled with clouds but they didn't go so far when the sky opened, raining water on them. They quickly found shelter inside of a children's playground and stayed there, waiting for the rain to let up; while their guitar cases weren't waterproof, their suitcases were as both girls had planned for a situation like this.

Suzuran nibbled on the cookies she was given and with a sad smile on her face, whispered, "... It's really good, Honami." Suddenly, she noticed a white piece of paper inside of the cellophane bag. She reached inside and pulled it out. Noa leaned over to read the piece of paper as Suzuran opened it.
