"you're flattering me sir Yana"
"you think so? look at them"
She turned her sight at Ragha and Iris. They showed clueless expression on their face.
"tell us how you got that conclusion"
"yes sir Yana..."
When she wanted to speak, Yana gave a signal that she should discuss that via telepathy. She nodded and gave her explanation.
(so when sir Yana said it would be easy if our enemies surround us, i thought about our position)
(our... position?)
(yes, no matter who you fight or where your battlefield is, we only need to focus at five direction. Front, sides, back, above, and below us)
(put it simply, our full circle, above, and below us...) Iris nodded
(in that case, we don't need to be afraid with their numbers! five hundred soldiers can't surround us at once! as long as we watch that five direction)
Ragha started to understand. Iris continued his words.
(from one thousand become five hundred.. from five hundred to... Let me think.. around one hundred at once)
(that's right, so we only need to face one hundred of them at once, and survive for around five waves.. and that solve our first five hundred enemies) Shanti replied
(that's great! with our savior and right teamwork, that will become possible)
(you're truly Ho'rath and our Furr'dhad Yana) Iris smiled
Despite their enthusiasm, Yana didn't show any smile on his face. Shanti realized that everything wouldn't be that easy.
(is something wrong sir Yana?)
(seems our answer is not correct after all) Ragha also responded
(... no no, all of you could elaborate with Shanti's thought and made a good strategy from it. That's splendid)
(yet it was not the right path that you seek Yana?) Iris asked
(well, Shanti did you remember what were we talking before you leading those soldiers into the forest?)

(.... it's about...)
Her expression changed and she realized her mistake.
(reason.. intention...they will change their formation and pattern once they realize it doesn't work)
(exactly Shanti. It's like you're reading my mind) Yana looked at her
(it's all because your hint sir Yana. I will never make it without it)
(You are really smart Shanti. No wonder Yana chose you as his woman) Iris approved
(it's true Shanti. You're far more reliable than me) Ragha nodded
Shanti's ears moved a little. She really didn't get used with compliments.
"Yana!! it's a very nice opportunity to meet a smart man like you!!! but sadly there's some matters that i need to attend now!"
Libhane raised his hand. That was his signal to his soldiers for eliminating the enemies in front of them.
"farewell. I won't forget this day.. the day where someone actually could be on par with my intelligence"
He turned around and walked away.
"-krrr- that man .."
Ragha showed his fangs and Iris also showed her frustrated expression on her face.
Yana looked to the sky. He kept staring it for a while.
"sir Yana... is it happening?"
Yana nodded and replied to her.
"yes Shanti.. the worst scenario is starting to reveal itself"
Shanti looked to the sky and tried to see something strange. Yet she couldn't find anything, only the dark sky could be seen with her eyes.
"you're talking about that? Shanti?"
"yes Ragha, the thing that sir Yana said at the inn"
"so... it really happens....but of course, we've failed to execute the savior's plan perfectly"
"you did your role Ragha. It's me who..."
"enough you two. Like i said, both of you had done your role more than my expectation" Yana stopped it
"what are you talking about?"

Iris didn't get what they meant with that thing. Yana told her through telepathy.
(can you feel something strange in the sky?)
(sky?)
She looked up and tried to find something unusual.
"there's nothing... wait!"
She squinted her eyes and observed the sky again carefully.
"this amount of mana... it's gathering above that sword statue..."
"not only there Iris. There are three spots around this area"
"three?!"
She looked around and confirmed it.
"you're right Yana .. one above the sword statue, one above the forest...and the last is near the mountain"
"mountain? don't tell me.."
"it is Shanti. It's above the place where we buried those elves" Yana replied
-drap-
-drap-
"halt! stand by!"
The group captain took their lead. Their position indicated that they were ready to attack.
"savior, they're coming"
"Ragha, you take care our back. Shanti, to right side. Iris, you at left side. I'll take care the front"
They moved according to Yana's instruction and took their stance.
"we'll discuss about that thing later, first we need to face them"
"understood" They nodded
-drap-
-drap-
They stopped around twenty meters from their enemy. There's no sign that they would made a formation that would surround Yana and the other.
"sir Yana... they stopped.."
"no way, why they didn't surround us?"
"what will we do now Yana?"
(this is what i mean when you should read their intention, their reason. Concentrate, we will come first at them)
Yana took his stance and looked to the front. Meanwhile the soldiers in the front row were also ready to initiate this battle.
-fuuh-
"let's go"
