-krrrrrrrrr-
From a nearly dying Khall's body coming a sudden strike to the Wapeer in front of it.
-zreeb-
One stab to the heart, without any hesitation.
Khall did that attack by pushing forward his body towards his enemy and that made those Wapeers confused.
Khall was being stabbed by the bigger Wapeer yet he casually pushed his body and made his wound deeper.
Blood gushed from his stabbed wound.
-hrrrrrrr-
Khall's attack was not deep enough, so the Wapeer could strike back with its another hand.
-zraash-
This time it would end Khall for sure. That's what that Wapeer thought.
-wuung-
The dark purple light glowed again. Two Wapeer bit his arms again but Khall didn't stop. He even pushed deeper to the Wapeer's heart in front of him.
-zreeb-
"HRRRRR!!"
It screamed in agony. The stab attack at its heart made a fatal wound for it.
-zraash-
Khall pulled his arm and his enemy fell to the ground.
It was dead, just like that.
-hrrrrrrr-
The other two Wapeer that bit his arms met a more tragic fate. Khall slammed them to the floor and choked them with all of his strength.
-krrt-
"HRRRRR"
-kraak-
Their neck bone was broken. The Wapeer behind him was taking some distances from him after seeing that situation.
-whooos-
-dharr-
Another blue fire ball came to his direction. A clean strike again this time. The remaining bigger Wapeer didn't waste that chance. This time it surely would end it.
-dash-
Khall dashed directly to that bigger Wapeer and raised his claws. His enemy didn't expect that coming.
-zraash-
His slash was being able stopped by his enemy but he didn't stop there.
He kept attacking while his enemy also doing the same. But there's a big difference between them.
Everytime they got wounded, that Wapeer became slower while Khall wasn't effected by that.

Then, the result became obvious. Couldn't endure the pain and wounds, the Wapeer lowered its guard. Khall didn't think twice to deliver his fatal strike.
-zreeb-
One delivered blow to the stomach. The Wapeer fell to the ground and didn't move.
-krrrrrrrrr-
"ENEMY.....KILL..."
-clap clap-
Marleus showed his satisfied feeling with the result.
"the demon shard...works...so.....we need...to....get rid.....the consciousness....."
"i can't believe it... how did that monster survive? look! its wounds start to heal itself.."
The soldiers were confused with what they were seeing right now.
"this is.... really good..... open the next cage...."
"there's another experiment sir?"
"yes.....last one...and the most..... important....."
They didn't have any option except do his order. They went into the room at the back again and looked for the other cage.
"this...are sir Marleus serious?"
"i don't really care at this point. Just do it and let this mad experiment end.."
"-sigh- you're right"
-ckrek-
They brought what's inside the cage to the test field.
"good.... let's begin....."
"sir....are you sure about this?"
"what.....do....you mean....?"
"i mean..."
He looked at them. There are four elves with quite miserable condition and they seemed not a fighter at all. But he could be wrong, he didn't know anything about elf race anyway.
"What kind of race....is that?"
"by our wisdom god RATHIEL mercy.... what kind of fate that will wait for us.."
They were anxious. Marleus stepped foward and talked to them. Meanwhile, Khall just stood there.
"i...will...offer you....a deal..."
"a deal? we've already learned that human's word mean nothing"
"is...up...to you. If you....can....kill this.... monster...i will.... release all of the prisoner...."

"....how do we know that?"
"i... don't care.... it's.... up to you. Will...you take.....it?"
They looked at each other.
"if there's any chance to get out from here.. to save our highest light Thel'iris.."
"your majesty... you're right. We only have this chance"
They nodded and agreed to take Marleus's deal.
"good.....bring them...weapons....."
"understood sir"
Marleus was going back to the corner and pulled his little note.
"this....is...the last....phase....."

The moon calmly shone the village. Everyone drowned in their own thought.
Mugha wiped his face again.
"-fuuh- i must stop now, or else.."
"why? no one will stop you" Shanti replied
"i know, that's precisely why i need to stop"
"hmmm, i don't understand"
Mugha was silent for a while before he continued his words.
"do you know Shanti? what makes me fear the most?"
"let me think... red butterfly? or two horns wolf?" She giggled
"you still remember that? seriously" He shaked his head
"ahaha, of course i am. That epic moment is unforgettable"
She continued talked.
"you said that red butterfly was... -pfft- the messenger of death.. ahahaha!"
"-sigh- but that's story from ten years ago"
"well, i still find it funny until now" She laughed again
"so the cost to see your smile is my shame past? is that it Shanti?"
"I'm sorry, ahaha. -fuuh- where were we? thing that you fear the most right? hmm... humans?"
".... it's not specifically human, but all threat that bring danger to our tribe"
"i don't get it. As the leader of the fighter, you already protect this village from any threat that i could remember"
"yes, until yesterday...."
"you stopped them Mugha"
"and our families were die...more than twenty of them"
"-sigh- you're still talking about that"
"listen Shanti.. i am always afraid... whenever someone hurt or die..i can't help it but think that all is my fault. I know it's wrong! but.... i just feel it.."
"..... I'm afraid, even after sacrificing my soul..our savior can't protect our tribe...this village"
Shanti realized now that her brother was the one who really afraid and anxious this whole time, and this time it was her turn to comfort him.

Saga of the Great Wolf
In the Dragon Seal Universe, humans worship the Celestial Court of the Dragon Gods. As per the edicts of the Celestial Court, humans Cultivate the Dao to seek strength and rise above their common roots. If they rise to one day serve the Dragon Gods directly, they have the chance to be initiated into the Greater Secrets of the Daos, which can allow them to live for millions of years. Coalescence, the Path to Transcendence, is considered a Heretical Art of the Demonic War Masters, whose evil empire was said to have been overthrown hundreds of millennia in the past by the Celestial Court. Wolves, a species that are said to have once served the War Masters, are listed by the Temple of the Celestial Court as one of the most corrupt of Demonic Beasts. They are killed on sight. Surrounded by the Demonic Wildlands and protected by the ancient Watch Towers, a number of human nations and empires thrive atop the Great Plateau. Cultivators rule over the general populace and the Temple of the Celestial Court rules over the Cultivators. Anyone caught practicing Coalescence is sentenced to death by torture. I am half human and half Wolf. Since I am already under a death sentence for my Bloodline, there is nothing to stop me from setting out on the Path of Coalescence. The Emperor's Chef
"Cook like your life depends on it, kid. Because it does." Charles had an enviable future lined up for him. Training from the age of five by some of the finest chefs in the world. Schooling at a top culinary academy in the capital. An honorable position as heir to House Boulier, a line of merchant-lords who have charmed the rich and powerful with their cooking for centuries. And in a single night, it all burned to ash. When the outbreak of war destroys his hometown, Charles is charged with escorting his family’s sacred treasure—a recipe book passed down for untold generations—out of harm's way. But his simple mission grows complicated when he’s captured by one of the most feared battalions in the world: the Spears of Mercy. Life as a prisoner in their war camp is brutal and uncertain. Charles has few allies and even fewer strengths to rely on. Only his skills in the culinary arts, honed over a lifetime in the kitchen, are deemed useful enough to keep him alive another day. But he’s not out of hope just yet. With a dash of wit, a pinch of luck, and some very creative cooking, he might just find a way to recover his family’s legacy and take back his freedom. This project is a food-themed fantasy that centers on cooking and chefs. The setting spans a wide world featuring ingredients/recipes both real and inspired by traditional fantasy. I'll eventually be publishing it as a full-length novel (or series of novels depending on length). These are the first draft chapters. I'll likely be re-writing more than once, then editing before publishing, so impressions and feedback are quite welcome. If you like the story so far and you're interested in being an early reviewer for the final product, feel free to message me. I'm looking for an artist to make some concept art and a cover (the cover shown here is just a temporary placeholder). A stand-alone novel for now, but it may turn into a series down the road.
