Some of them sat on the ground, and some of them stood still while thinking about their decision.
The answer should be obvious. They needed to choose the choice to leave the village and saved their family from the last howl sacrifice ritual.
"of course we will choose to leave this village right?"
"I want to say that... but you saw them..."
"what do you mean?"
"their determination.... our pride always comes first right? as the children of ROGNIR...."
"you think now is the time? i don't think so"
"then when is the right time?!"
He looked at him with distrust looks.
"we are talking about sacrificing our families here.. how can you take it so lightly like that?"
"TAKE IT SO LIGHTLY?!! so that's how you see it?!"
"THEN WHAT?! why do you even consider the last howl sacrifice ritual as an option?! TELL ME!!"
The atmosphere became really tense. The villager were divided into two opinions, and they were trying to convince each other.
The elder knew that this was going to happen, but he couldn't avoid this situation either. Shanti looked at them with anxious feeling.
"please... whatever happens, it's for the best.."
"Listen!!" The elder shouted
They looked at him.
"i will receive your choice this night! at the shrine"
He turned around and went to his house, leaving all of them with their wavering determination.
Mugha took command. He ordered all of the fighters to go back to their duty.
The meeting was disbanded and they went back to their house.
Mugha approached Shanti and talked to her.
"Shanti... forgive me. For my decision"
"you shouldn't apologize to me Mugha.. i know you since we're little... this is something that you definitely will do"
"but still..."

Shanti grabbed his hand and looked at him.
"Mugha, you and your father already took care of me since i was a baby... an unknown northern Half-beast without any relatives.."
"stop saying such a thing Shanti, you're my sister"
"no Mugha, i need to say this. You already took care of me, to the point you always held back about what you really want to do..."
She kept staring at him and continued her words.
"I will mock our beast god ROGNIR if i ask more than this... you do your duty as children of ROGNIR, yet I'm holding you for my personal reason..."
Her voice shook a little. She tried her best to hold her tears.
Mugha really knew when Shanti forced herself. She always tried to think about the other first rather than herself. So he really understood what was her feeling right now.
He pulled her and hugged her tightly. Shanti could feel his warmth and it made her mind become calm.
"do you know Shanti? why I'm not worried at all?"
She lifted her head and asked why.
"because i really believe with our furr'dhad"
"why?"
"i live up to this day by following his story, by admiring his legend"
"but that's only legend...."
"maybe, maybe.... but don't you think that's really awesome? he can end the eternal war between races and bring peace in this world"
"he's not. Look at our condition now..."
"he will Shanti. That's why we will call him"
"why?! why do you trust that unknown apostle than yourself and the others fighters?!"
"because i know my limit, our limit as a mere Half-beast"
"you're strong... no, very strong Mugha. I believe you can beat those humans"
"Shanti, listen to me.."
"I believe we don't need to do this! i believe.." She refused to hear his words

Mugha softly pinched the tip of Shanti's left ear. That's how he always made her stop from her raving.
"ouch! what is that for Mugha?! you know I'm being serious here" She was quite annoyed by that
"haha, but you won't listen to me if i didn't do that"
She let out a little sigh. Her big brother always knew how to handle her.
Mugha let her off and continued his words.
"listen Shanti, my little wolf"
"you're really unfair Mugha....to call me like that after this long time" She started crying
"Shanti.. when our furr'dhad is successfully summoned, you must listen to him. You will do whatever he tell you to save our tribe"
"hiks...hiks....i will..."
"good. If not for our tribe, at least do that for me, your big brother" He smiled
Shanti kept crying and Mugha hugged her again.
"Shanti, promise me.. so i can go to the heavenly green field without any regrets"
"I....I.... promise"
"forgive me Shanti, i do this because i know you will never disappointed me"
He pat her head till Shanti stopped crying.

This is the Trial by Conquest — a battle-royale, civilisation, build-off. Lose and you die. Win and you rule over your new fantasy world as king! Maximus Rum would rather not die. In fact, right now what he’d most rather is find his pants and figure out what the hell is going on. The beach he woke up on is empty and quiet. But he’d better get a move on. The Trial has already begun. Note: I am not intending to write this as a harem story. However, if you believe that a man knowing and having sex with women constitutes a harem, and if that is not your bag, please consider this your warning. Genre: A village-building, dungeoncrawling, LitRPG — taking inspiration from games such as HoMM, Civilization, ANNO, TotalWar, Warcraft, and others. Tone: Mostly 'hell, yeah!' fun with occasional dips into darkness. May contain: Violence, combat, fights, etc. Sexual humour, references, descriptions, and debatably non-explicit acts.
