All the men was helping with the ritual preparation. They dug as fast as they could. The moon was shining brightly in the sky almost like as a guide for the souls into the heavenly green field.
Khall was also there. He was quite fast with his digging. If it's not about hunting or fighting, he was quite confident with himself.
Near the shrine, Mugha and Shanti sat next to each other. Shanti are healing Mugha's wounds while still trying to hold her tears.
Of course, Khall couldn't take his eyes from them.
".....this isn't supposed to happen... why..."
One of the villager called him from afar.
"Khall! the elder calls you!"
"me? got it.."
He approached the elder while carrying his shovel. The elder told him to sit and said something to him.
"Khall... i just want to say thank you"
"thank you? i don't get it elder..."
"for your advice.. if we let Mugha going after those humans alone, then he surely will be dead.."
"ah, about that... yet we have lost so many families.."
"but we also could save many of them too, and that's because of Mugha and all of the fighters"
"...."
"you said they have around twenty soldiers? only with half of them, they could kill half of our fighters... and that's even without their leader. The man that you mentioned before..."
That's right. The fact that their leader even didn't fight with them was really bothering Khall.
"there's no way they could go this far... something's off here.."
"Khall?"
"ah, it's nothing elder. Can i continue to help with the preparation?"
"sure, sure. Once again, thank you"
The preparation was finished. The villager took their position, so did the elder and Shanti.

They were facing to the north with their praying position. They knelt and held their hands in front of their forehead.
Shanti moved toward the graveyard where all those twenty bodies were buried. She held her hands and started her praying.
"a little wolf starts to walk.... ground is his first friend"
The villager started to sing along with Shanti's prayer.
"a child wolf starts to run... wind is his close friend"
"a big wolf starts to hunt... forest is his best friend"
"an old wolf starts to rest... earth is his only friend"
Shanti raised her voice.
"by the protection of our beast god ROGNIR... from earth to earth..."
"from earth to earth"
Shanti was supposed to dance for the harvest day on this day, yet she was doing a ritual for a burial instead.
Khall kept wondering. If he let Mugha killing all those humans, would all this deaths become evitable? would he see Shanti's dance instead her sad expression right now?
He couldn't undo what he already did, so it didn't matter now.
The ritual process was finish, and Shanti got back to her position.
The elder stood and faced all the villager. This was the biggest incident since the first elder of Ohre village era and he knew that his people needed encouragement from their elder.
"Listen! our shaman was given a prophecy by our god beast ROGNIR! i think i will tell you later... after we solve this human problem... but turn out, i can't delay it any longer..."

Everyone was showing their panic expression. They knew it very well when there was a prophecy then that would become true.
"so.... what's it elder? what's the prophecy?"
The elder took his breath before he told everything that Shanti said back there. Everyone was listening very carefully to every sentences that their elder said.

The place became silent for a moment then they started to realize the situation.
"apostle..."
"furr'dhad....."
"our salvation will be paid with our souls?? our beast god want us to die for summoning furr'dhad here?"
No one wanted to say it, but they all knew what that sentence meant.
"Mugha, we need your opinion in this one"
"understood father"
He came foward and looked all the villager.
"those humans were strong. I needed to use everything i got to kill five of them.. and i almost died... if not for our brave and mighty families.."
They hoped that the strongest fighter in their tribe wouldn't say such a thing, but this meant that their enemies were really strong.
"if they attack again, i don't know how to guarantee our winning.." Mugha bowed
"what....should we do then?"
"should we leave the village and move to the mountain?"
"Monryad will receive us, that's for sure. But we just can't leave our village..."
People started to argue with what they had to do next. Mugha, Shanti, and the elder were gathering at the front row.
"Father, Shanti.. i think we should do the true howl sacrifice ritual"
Both of them were surprised. They didn't see that coming.
"true howl sacrifice!! how can you think about that ritual?!"
"Mugha, you've failed to protect our families, but that doesn't mean you can't fix that"
"father.. we know that prophecy will happen sooner or later.. and i know, we need our apostle... we need that salvation.."
Sacrificed the others to save the rest..... was that really the only option that they had?

The merchant princes, having built some gleam of stability, reached out to the Old World's new kings for help in raising the orderly sword of bureaucracy.
