"why there's nobody who realize us sir Ragha?"
"savior told me, this town's people don't have any keen sense, so seeing us at night would be quite hard for them"
"i see, that's why you choose this route"
"yes, escaping through the rooftop is savior's plan. It can help us to get less attention and avoid the patrols"
"he is indeed a wise man, your savior" Dalvari responded
"like i said, he is an incredible man"
They escaped through the rooftop after they left the prison. Because the south prison location was not far from the wall, they could reach it less than five minutes.
"i can see the gate, only two guards there" Dalvari told Ragha
"I'll take care of it" He nodded
Ragha took the lead and accelerated towards the guards position. They still didn't aware about he and the elves that approached them from above.
"do you hear about our friend that will come today back from the capital?"
"I've heard of that, but i wonder... the rumor said, it's only half of them who's coming alive"
"i know that rumor... some even say that they fought a dragon or something"
"i don't know about that...i mean, i don't know how humans could defeat something that powerful"
"why not? they have so many powerful soldiers there"
"come on! you see that man? chief of the king's guard! he supposed to be the strongest man in the capital"
"ah....yet he lost to a mere Half-beast"
"yeah, that's what i mean.."
"-sigh- whatever, at least our job will be easier when they come back here"
"that's....i agree" He nodded
They continued to keep watching the outside of the town and a voice could be heard from behind them.
"lost to a mere Half-beast....you say?"

Both of them looked to the source of the voice but the lack of the light source near them made them hard to see what's in front of them.
"halt there! you need a permission to get out from this town at night!"
-tap tap-
"tch, why would someone make a problem for us" He signed and approached the figure in front of him
"so you want to say that my father was killed by a weak man?"
"hey! stop right..."
He couldn't finish his lines because Ragha attacked him in an instant. Meanwhile the other guard felt supiscious and raised his guard.
"just what's happened here..need to inform the other"
He used his left hand to search the magic device in his pocket while looking toward his enemy. Ragha realized that and didn't waste any second.
-dash-
"report from the south gate! ugh!"
-buugh-
A clean strike was successfully landed on his stomach.
-brugh-
"-kkgghh- you're that monster....."
Ragha didn't respond to that and called Dalvari and his people. All of them was getting down from the roof and gathered outside of the wall.
"thank you sir Ragha, we will make sure those soldier can't find us"
"about that Dalvari.."
"yes?"
"savior said you can hide at near the whispering lake in Dhanglin forest. That place is avoided by the soldiers"
"whispering lake? understood"
Dalvari made a formal pose and bowed to him, and followed by the rest of the elves.
"we won't forget this debt. You and your savior can ask anything from us, as the payment of this debt"
"sure, I'll tell that to the savior"
Ragha turned back and headed back to the fort. Just when he wanted to leave that place, the soldier who lay on the ground said something to him.

"....what did you say?"
He glared at that soldier with a murderous intention.
-----++-----
Back to the front yard of Bar'laghine fort.
-krrrrrrrrr-
-clannk-
"grrrr...."
-whuuum-
His technique landed on its target, yet something strange was happened in front of him.....and that's totally not good.
A Chillyd's silhouette stood in front of him, and his claws were stabbing through it. He knew... that's just an illusion.
"to think you can move like that..what a persistent monster.."
Ragha turned his body really fast and swung his claws once again. Chillyd only needed to take one little step to the back to dodge that attack. His attack missed its target and left his guard open.
-zraaash-
One slash to his left shoulder made some fresh blood starting to flow out. The wound became worse because of the pressure effect from [GRAVITY PRIDE II].
"grrrr.....human"
"what? I'm really sure your ability is more than this monster?"
-zraaash-
He landed another attack on Ragha's shoulder without any changing of his expression on his face.
"grrrr... I'll kill you"
-dash-
-whuuum-
-whuuss-
Ragha dashed and continued to swing his claws, yet none of them could reach their target. Chillyd calmly dodged all of those attacks while shouting to the other soldiers.
"get out from this area! just provide support from outside the area's effect!"
"sir!"
They started to move to the outside of the area while helping the other soldier who couldn't move by their own.
"arrrgh!! more ..power..."
Time passed and beast mode started to take control over his mind and body. Slowly, he forgot about his purpose and role that were given by his savior.
"hmm, a monster should be fighting against another monster" Chillyd looked to the soldiers
"release that beast.. I'll hold this monster here"
"yes sir!"
"grrrr, DIE YOU FILTHY HUMAN!!"
Ragha jumped foward and spread his arms. Chillyd extended his right arm to his enemy and used his skill.
[FREEZE TOUCH V]
-zrruusshh-
In an instant, Ragha's body was covered by solid ice and he couldn't move any part of his body.
"wait monster, i have another proper opponent for you"

Obligate of a Self-Ordained Sorcerer
Come join the Discord! It was a typical late-night friday for Mara, secluded in her apartment in front of a digital expanse, relentlessly mashing code into a keyboard. An introverted workaholic, but this was what she wanted - what she had strived so hard to achieve. So why did she feel so lost? Her life was productive, comfortable, satisfying. Plenty had it worse but she still felt... ungrateful? Stunted? The right word escaped her, but she could feel the general revelation settling upon her. With it came a choice that would set events in motion far beyond the meager scope of a 'New Game+'. So taking an intrusive portal to god-knows-where, Mara will come to find that her new world offers boons and banes with equal abandon. Magic, skills, and unforgiving difficulty. For a frail human shut-in, finding herself stranded in the middle of a sprawling dungeon was one of the least desirable outcomes. Food and water would be the least of her problems, why oh why couldn't she just get summoned by some pervy king to slay a demon army or something? This is a story of magic and adventure with skills and stats galore. A litrpg / isekai epic that I've been inspired to make after years of wonderful works like "So I'm a Spider," "Rimuru the Slime," "Azarinth Healer," "Negima!?," and plethora of other isekai and fantasy novels and animes. Special shout-out to Douglas Adams, a big influence on narative humor that's had a non-insignificant effect on my writing style. I hope you enjoy joining Mara on her journey as I attempt to scratch the itch they left behind.Chapters target 3-6k~ words. Though I'm personally aiming for a chapter every couple weeks, I think I can at least promise one a month with how busy work's been. I made a Patreon due to requests, if you'd like to support me there I'll be using it to fund artwork and RR ads for increased exposure.

The Ingress Estate
Jonathon Eucole. Soldier. Scholar. Now an Initiate, the dedication without dedication, he finds himself both prisoner and master of an arcane edifice, the Ingress Estate, which can neither be escaped, nor controlled; only diverted, maintained, and pacified. This is a gothic fantasy story, set in a world in which gods and the afterlife are not only real and known, but were both established in living memory of some of the inhabitants after millennia of arcane warfare with the being who constructed the mundane reality the humans occupy. But this isn't the story of those who colonized the afterlife at the cost of their own humanity, but a somewhat more ordinary man, in somewhat extraordinary circumstances. This is also a LitRPG-lite, which means there's a system of sorts, fragments of which can be observed through Jonathon's eyes. Don't expect level-up screens, or statistics, or indeed numbers much at all, beyond those the inhabitants of the world itself apply to understanding their own reality. It pretty much doesn't matter to the story, I mention it so those who don't want to read LitRPG at all can successfully avoid it here. I don't have any particular plan here, just some ideas inherent in the genre. This is a character concept I toyed with some years ago; an old man, bright of mind but weighed down into apathy, both by his past and his responsibilities for a terrible estate that cannot be left without stewardship. Don't expect any kind of overarching plot or story, because that's really not what this is about. Also don't expect much dialogue. Or character development. Or much of anything, really, because I've planned nothing in the way of an actual book, here. Other relevant information, if you've read this far for some reason: The MC isn't super-powerful to begin with, and probably never will be. He's a veteran with some useful skills, and the insight on how to use them, so can deal with the world's ordinary threats reasonably well, but not too much beyond that. --- Currently on hiatus, as currently the story has a rather poor ratio of effort-to-personal-payoff. I may return to this once I have a clear idea of how to get the stories where I want them. I've started a more standard LitRPG using the same system. But if you like intelligence characters who cleverly min-max their classes, it probably isn't the story for you; it's the story of a rather ordinary guy who winds up in a very similar universe.
