It's still quite cold when Yana slowly opened his eyes. Dark scene welcomed him as the first thing that he saw.
"-fuuh- it's still early..."
Yana woke up and sat on the bed. He looked his surrounding and made sure his situation. He stood and stretched his body.
-hup-
he jumped and did some moves. Push up, sit up, he did all the standard work out to warm his body. It took ten minutes before he finished his work out. He put his jacket and headed out of the house.
"good morning savior. You wake up really early" some of the villager greeted him
"morning. Hmm, this is my normal routine. Are you heading to hunt?"
They're suprised.
"you know everything savior! yes, we will go hunting now"
"I see. may you are protected by ROGNIR"
"!!" They didn't think their savior would say that. It really made them happy.
"by the protection of ROGNIR" they replied
They bowed and left him. Yana continued his way to look around the village.
"-fuuh- the fresh air is really great" He deliberately took a deep breath
The villagers bowed and greeted him. The women were cleaning the fish and the meat for their lunch, while the men went to hunt and worked at the field. It's really early in the morning, yet most of them already started their activities.
Yana approached one of them and asked them.
"do you see Shanti? I need to talk with her"
"ah, Shanti is in the ritual place savior. She need to do her morning pray"
"I see. thank you" Yana headed to the ritual place
He went to the south, passed a small road and arrived at the ritual place. The place where's everything begin.
He saw Shanti kneeled on the ground. She closed her eyes and held her hands. She's right in front of the summoning circle. The circle didn't show anything particular tho.

Yana decided to wait her, and headed to the fighter's grave. Twenty fighter's graves. He closed his eyes and prayed.
"may all of you rest in peace... I promise I will do my part to protect this village.."
"from earth to earth" his opened his eyes
Shanti finished her morning pray. She realized her savior was there. She stood and tapped her clothes.
"good morning sir Yana, you wake up early"
"morning Shanti. I have enough rest"
Shanti eyes directed to Yana's shirt and short pant. Her fox tail was moving slightly, left and right.
"what's wrong?"
"!! no..nothing sir Yana. I'm only think you might feel cold with that kind of clothes"
"I'm fine. The air is really fresh right now."
"if you say so... may I ask you, what bring you here sir Yana?"
"I want you to gather all the villager, but after they are finished all their works. When will they finish it?"
"usually around noon. When the sun is high"
"hmmm, around 1 PM? ok then"
"1....PM?"
"don't worry about that. Inform them, meanwhile I want to meet with Chanotte"
"understood sir Yana. Please take care"
"sure" Yana left the place
Shanti looked at him until he disappeared from her sight. She showed a troubled face.
"our beast god.... ROGNIR....please help me.."
Yana arrived in the elder house. He headed to underground entrance. Two of the Half-beast guarded there. They ate some kind of rice crackers as their breakfast.
"savior! good morning"
"morning. I want to meet him"
"....are you sure savior?"
"well... you two are fine. That's already prove that he doesn't want to run away from there"
"is...that so. Understood, please come in. Do we need to guard you?"
"no, just stand by here"

They nodded. Yana proceed to the underground room.
After passed a quite narrow stairs, he arrived at Chanotte's place.
He sat there with both of his hand chained. He stared at Yana.
-chruk-
The door was opened. Yana approached him.
"how do you feel chief?"
".....tell us"
"what?"
"tell us.. why we must die in the place like this? why these other races keep terrorizing us?"
Yana smiled.
"you already got your answer. Tho not all of it..."
"what do you mean?!" Chanotte stared at him
"then...allow me to tell you"
He leaned on the rail.

Who Fixes Books Anyway?
On the pretense of a raise, the relatively new employee Pernie is called in to talk with her superiors. NOTE: This is a short story written for a class I took recently. As a result of deadlines, it does not possess the quality (or length) that I would like and is rather thrunkated. Perhaps sometime far in the furture I'll fix it up. For now, I have much more important things to work on, such as my other fiction.
