Stacy rubs her head on me. “Nya, master!” She purrs like the sprinkle of sunshine that she is.

The doors of my chamber burst open and a beastman stomps in shouting, “Taihen! Taihen deshita, Gaijin-sama-kun!”

I spring off my loveseat and slap the beastman. “English!”

“I not English! This taihen!” Taihen said, massaging his hackles.

“What do you want, Taihen?” I said, annoyed that my cat petting was interrupted.

“Yes, taihen! English come.”

The beastman grabbed my wrist with his dirty paw. Such insolence! How did this dirty beastman think he could just grab me like that?! It's time for a lesson in manners! I wrested my arm away and slapped him a second time.

“Don't touch me! Only attractive girls can!” I shouted.

“No! Bad man here!”

I scowled menacingly. He’ll regret calling me a bad man. I drew my ancient sword and cut off Taihen’s head. Stacy is horrified, so I calm her. This is how a hero should live. Free from annoyances and free to pet his cat-girl for however long he wishes.
