If you were given the opportunity to become an adventurer in a fantasy world, would you take it? Would you become a knight in shining armour, a beacon of hope for all. Would you cut down fearsome enemies who dare stand in between you and victory. Would this be the life you've been dreaming off? These were the thoughts that used to be in Aaron's mind. However, now that he has been granted his ideal life, he has a slightly different view on the situation

"Being an adventurer is actually kind of boring...... All I've been doing for the past week is going out and fighting slimes. What happened to all the dragons and treasure! Where the hell is the plot line that's supposed to lead to me to taking down the big bad guy! I've been looking for the main girl that's supposed to drop the story hook for a week.... But all I found was a team of dumbasses!"

Aaron looked up from his thoughts and saw the commotion in front of him. Two girls were playing some sort of dice game while the other was going around mindlessly taking bites out of leftover food. The demi-human who was playing with a cleric spoke up.

Ruby:

MY 8 IS HIGHER THAN YOUR 1! I WIN!!!

Nia:

REMATCH!! I WASN'T PAYING ATTENTION TO HOW I WAS ROLLING!!

Ruby:

But first, you need to follow what I say!

Nia:

BUT I ALMOST WON!!!

Ruby:

But did you win in the end?

Nia:

Ruby:

Nia:

Ruby:

Ruby was ecstatic at the thought of prying eyes staring at Nia's bare skin. Nia was screaming and crying at her lost.

I HAD TO PLAY BECAUSE RUBY CHAINED UP MY FOOD SO I COULDN'T EAATT!! SHE SAID SHE WOULD ONLY FREE MY MEAL IF I HELPED HER OUT OF HER CHAINS AND IF I WON THE GAMEEEEE!!! DAD WOULDN'T LET RUBY DO THIS, WHY DID YOU HAVE TO WIN CUSTODY OVER US!! MOOOMMMMM!!!!

Aaron:

WHO THE FUCK DO YOU THINK I'M MARRIED TO!!

Nia gripped onto Aaron's hoodie and shook him around in an attempt to force him to her side.

Ruby:

Fine. If you won't take off your clothes. I'LL DO IT FOR YOU!

Ruby dragged the crying Nia away from Aaron and grappled her on the floor. Ruby then made multiple attempts to take off Nia's clothing while Silver walked back from her food heist.

Silver:

Ruby, stop trying to strip Nia.

Nia:

I TOLD YOU DAD WOULD DISAGREE, AARON!!!!!

"If thats dad, I can see why there was a divorce..."

Aaron:

Hey Silver, you've been an adventurer for longer than I have right? Isn't it kind of boring just fighting slimes in the fields all day.

Silver:

What do you mean! What greater feeling is there than destroying monsters with a strong and sturdy shield. Seeing blood splatters on its face after a long day of hard work is a better prize than money!

Aaron remained unamused at this statement as usual.

"Oh yeahhhhhhh....... she's wants to fuck her own shield......"

Silver:

If you want a change of pace, you could always take a request from the notice board.

Aaron:

Huh, I kind of forgot about that thing.... What kind of quests do they have.

Aaron and Silver headed to the notice board that was near the guild's reception desk. The half undressed Nia soon ran after them with Ruby chasing not too far behind.

The board was filled with pieces of pinned up paper. Some contained illustrations, while most just consisted of text. All of them had some number of stars on their top right corner which indicated their difficulty. The group looked at a few posters, occasionally pulling one out to take a closer look then putting it back up.

Nia:

Guys, how about this quest!

Nia took a poster off the board and showed it to everyone.

Quest: Help fetch some medicinal leaves for the pharmacist

Aaron:

It sounds too easy so we wouldn't get paid much. But knowing your luck we'd probably end up helping an illegal drug ring...

Ruby:

Aaron's right, a quest like this would be more suited to our level.

Quest: Slay the demons that have destroyed a nearby village

Aaron:

We'd get one shotted if took that shit up.

Ruby:

This quest looks about the right difficulty.

Quest: Slay the monsters in the area and then investigate the nearby dungeon.

"The infamous dungeon clearing quest. Teeming with monsters and evil spirits. But most importantly, FILLED WITH TREASURE!"

Aaron:

It sounds good.. but I have a suspicion this isn't going to go well...

Silver:

What makes you think that?

Aaron looked at his party members and remembered all of their past incidents.

Aaron:

Just a hunch. Whatever, get ready and meet at the indicated spot in 3 hours. We need to slay all the monsters in the area so we would need to get some bait and more items.

Everyone split up to get equipment for their adventure.

"This might be the chance to earn some serious cash. Dungeons are where people spend 90% of their time in TRPGs. So THIS is where you hid the first story hook Cris. You know, letting me learn {Phantom Hand}, and now this! Are you FINALLY going to give me the Isekai story I've wanted!"

Aaron, for one of the first times in his stay in this other world, felt good about his current situation. But as it usually goes in his Isekai life, this feeling won't last too long.

Silver walked into a hilly area with a single tree in the centre of it. There, sitting in the shade, was Aaron and Ruby waiting with giant sacks of equipment behind them. When they saw Silver emerge from the forest, they stood up and called out too her.

The three of them grouped underneath the tree and Aaron used a stick to draw in the dirt.

Aaron:

Alright so our battle plan. We draw in the enemy here using bait and we wait far away from this place. Then we poke at them with spells and our weapons . Also, has anyone seen Nia?

Silver:

I remember seeing her go to the market but I didn't see her after that..

"She's dead isn't she"

Aaron:

Whatever I guess, what did you guys bring

Silver pulled out her own bag of equipment. She pulled on the drawstrings and revealed its contents. A small pile of dried meat was found inside of it.

Silver:

Since there's a lot of carnivores here, I thought that meat would attract most of them. But I remembered adding more in here.........

Silver continued to chew on some of the "missing" meat as Aaron simply just stared at her. The leftover meat bits stuck onto her chin without her realising. The remaining meat was taken and dumped at the base of the tree.

Ruby:

Aaron, what did you bring?

Aaron brought out an evil smile. He pulled his sack in front of him and started an explanation as the 2 girls crowded around the bag.

Aaron:

You may not know this, but there are these things called pheromones. Their basically scents that that animals used to communicate with each other. So, if I can get some of the mating pheromones, ALL THE MONSTERS WOULD BE HERE!

Aaron opened the bag and his smile grew even wider. Ruby's face turned red with lust once again while Silver looked in horror.

Aaron:

And thankfully, our lovely Silver over here was kind enough to donate some.

Aaron revealed a pile of worn panties that looked all to familiar to Silver. Aaron took one out and held it against the sunlight. He basked in its glory as the sunlight beamed through the cloth.

Aaron:

NO BEING CAN RESIST THE TEMPTATION OF PANTIES. ITS A UNIVERSAL CONSTANT THAT TRANSCENDS RACES AND WORLDS.

Silver:

Aaron:

Aaron dumped the sack of underwear into the pile of dried meat underneath the shady tree

Ruby:

Ruby laughed maniacally as Silver protested to no avail.

Aaron:

Oh yeah Ruby, I've been using {Phantom Hand} to work on my pickpocketing. You and Nia were some of the only ones wearing a skirt so your underwear is in here too.

Ruby:

Wait, what!

Ruby held on to her crotch area in shock as Aaron continued to take out even more panties from his hoodie pocket that had belonged to Ruby. The girls look at the disgusting degenerate in front of them as they silently agree to capture him later.

Aaron:

So Ruby, what did you bring?

Aaron ignored the upset gaze Silver was giving him and looked towards Ruby. Ruby dragged out sack which seemed to weigh the most out of the three.

Ruby:

Monsters like live food, so I thought something like deer or incapacitated cows would be the best.

Aaron:

You're not wrong, but are you sure its not your sadistic ass deciding for you.....

Ruby:

It was difficult, but I found livestock for real cheap.

Ruby opened the large sack revealing the poor chained up animal inside it. Aaron and Silver looked into the bag and were disappointed but not surprised. In the container, was a chained up and gagged Nia.

Nia:

hmmmfmfhfmfmfmmfmfmffffmfffhffhfm

Nia tried to break free and scream but she couldn't move. Silver took pity on the tied up girl and removed her gag.

Aaron:

Oh, you're alive.

Nia:

I've been in the sack.....for 3 hours now......

Tears started to stream down Nia's face as usual.

Aaron:

Did you bring any bait?

Nia:

HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO BRING BAIT WHEN I'M STUCK LIKE THISSS!!!

Nia shouted at Aaron who did not seem to care about the predicament she was in. The tied up cleric continued to sob.

Ruby dragged the girl out of the sack using a loose chain and hung her upside down from a low hanging branch.

Nia:

You guys can't leave me stuck here right?

Aaron:

Well, you are the only thing capable of attracting so many monsters here. Actually, you might be too effective for this job.

Ruby;

You'll be fine, just make sure to try scream as loudly as possible when all the monsters pile up underneath you.

Ruby took a used underwear from the pile and placed in Nia's mouth to stop any complaints from escaping her mouth.

Silver:

I do feel kind of bad for her....

Nia:

hmmmgfffhghgfhgfhfhgfhghfghfghfghghgh....HGHGHBGHFHGFMFMGFHGFHGMFGHFGHFGHGFGMGF!!!

Animal like footsteps could be heard approaching the area so the team, except for Nia, quickly ran to the sides and hid in a bush.

The team witnessed as around 7 tall birds that looked like chicken-ostrich hybrids slowly and cautiously approached the tree. They were entirely covered in brown and pale yellow feathers. They had long necks and legs. Their heads bobbed as they walked around the place. Aaron whispered to the group quietly.

Aaron:

What is that?

Silver:

Have you never seen a feather foot before?

Aaron:

Wait, its called a feather foot, does that make their plural feather feet...feather foots..feather feets?

Ruby:

Look, their taking the bait!

Ruby mercilessly grinned at Nia who was panicking at the situation. Nia was dangling only a few feet above the heads of the feather foots. The birds seemed engrossed in the tributes placed by the 3 adventurer's.

Aaron:

Alright, the feather feet are busy. It looks like a lot of them are here. We should move now.

Silver:

Its feather foots......

The group moved out of the bush and ran towards the flock of birds. Silver reached her target first and did a full body slam with her shield. She then pulled her arm back and launched a second attack with her shield

The feather foot fell down due to the immense force. Silver then followed up with a barrage of shield punches.

Aaron unsheathed his sword a cut another feather foot. His sword cut its side then came around for another slash to its long neck.

The feather foot did not take too kindly to this and kicked Aaron, launching him a considerable distance. Aaron hit the floor and rolled backwards

The feather foot charged at Aaron, but the rogue quickly rolled away causing the bird to trip and fall over defeated.

Aaron got up quickly and looked over to the blood covered Silver who was throwing shield blows wildly at the feather foots in her line of sight. Aaron could only see a pool of text appear from the mess.

Suddenly, a feather foot started to charge at her from behind. Silver had only noticed it too late. Aaron raised his hand forward and pointed towards the blood bath.

Aaron:

{Phantom Hand}!

The translucent hand appears in the feather foots path and blocks it. The bird rammed into the hand and recoiled backwards.

Aaron:

Ruby! Could you help us out a little!

Ruby stood behind the battlefield and looked at the 2 adventurers struggle.

Ruby:

Why, its fun watching you fight.

Aaron:

I will make that floating hand stroke your tail until you shit youself!

Ruby

GODS GIVE ME POWER TO SUBDUE MY FOES AND TO MAKE SURE THAT AARON DOESN'T TOUCH ME! {Pit Fall}!!

A large chasm appears beneath tied up Nia. She screams as she sees all the feather foots fall down the 12 ft deep hole and pile up at the bottom. The pit fills up with feather foots as the all try to claw and escape the hole. Those that make it to the top are immediately pushed back down by a psychotic shield wielding knight.

Aaron:

NICE RUBY! Right, we just need to finish them off then--

Aaron is cut off as he notices a large pit form beneath him and Ruby.

"Fuck. I forgot about her self casting thing"

Aaron tries to cling onto the earthen walls. He loses his grip as the earth loosens up and he falls down on top of Ruby.

Ruby, how do we get out off here.

Ruby:

I don't know, I usually wait for someone to help me.

The two get up and dust off any dirt on them. They look out of their hole and can only see the sobbing Nia. Aaron materialises a {Phantom Hand} and uses it to remove Nia's gag. Aaron shouts out of the hole to get the attention of the other members.

Aaron:

Guys! How's the situation up there! Is Silver done turning the place into a hellscape.

Silver places her shield on her back and wipes off some blood from her cheek.

Silver:

It's not that brutal..

The young woman commented this as she stood next to an atrocity worse than a concentration camp

Aaron:

Nia. Are you dead.

Nia's pupils were pitch black. She simply stared into the distance as the tree branch she was hung on creaked then gave way. She put up no resistance. She fell onto the bird pile and still remained unmoving. Silver walked to the girl and she finally spoke.

Nia:

Hey Silver, if Cris is real..... why has she forsaken me..........

The cleric did not move as Silver removed the chains that bound her. Nia stood up and made her way to the pit with Ruby and Aaron in it. She stood at the edge of the hole and looked down upon the two adventurers.

Aaron:

Oh, Nia. Could you help heal us. We took some damage just now.

Nia looked down upon them and smiled at them. She laughed at the two adventurers and proceeded to speak in a high and mighty voice.

Nia:

Ohhh, why should I? Couldn't I just stand here and watch you suffer. I mean, its not like I'm stuck in the pit? Oh what should I do?

Nia looked at her 2 bullies and unleashed a wave of smugness. Her fingers stroked her chin as if she were thinking about a solution to the current situation. Ruby and Aaron merely stood there and stared at the cleric pacing around the hole as she continued her monologue.

Nia:

Maybe I should help you two.. but it'll come at a cost. Maybe I would make you two strip in public, or maybe I'll throw you guys into a giant slime....hmm....Or I can force you to--

Nia felt her foot slip as she stepped onto a loose piece of soil.

Nia:

Oh.

The ground gave way and she fell down the hole, knocking her head against the walls of the pit and landing in front of Aaron and Ruby.

So are you going to heal us....

Nia clung onto Aaron's hoodie and cried as usual.

Nia:

*sniff* *sniff* I just wanted to get back at you guys....*sniff

Aaron:

Your existence is enough to get back at us

The cleric continued to sob into the teenagers black hoodie as Ruby enjoyed the view of her favourite victims failure.

Sooner or later, the trio got out of the hole with the help of Silver. The group sat next to the pile of dead bird as Nia reluctantly healed the her teammates. Aaron picked up his stick again and drew on the ground.

Aaron:

The map says that the dungeons is north of this place. Silver will stand in front followed by Nia, then me, then Ruby. Nia will be activating all the traps so I'll shield her with {Phantom Hand} and Silver can fight anything that tries to charge us down.

Nia:

Why am I setting off all the traps...

Aaron:

You fell down a hole without anybody wanting you to do so.. what the hell do you think will happen in a trap filled corridor.

The group stood up and got into formation. They then marched in unison, as if part of a scouts group, to the dungeon entrance. It was a stone staircase that lead deep into the ground. Its walls were cracked and damaged, filled with moss that had overgrown. The team cautiously stepped in. The air was stale and damp. Each step sent shivers down their spines.

"FINALLY, AN ADVENTURE!! My heart is pumping faster than ever before! This is the kind of excitement I've been looking forward to since entering this world!! Who cares about these teammates. If I can steal all the loot here, I CAN BE RICH!! People will have to respect me for my brave contribution to the land!"

Silver:

Theres a loose plate over there don't step on it.

Nia:

Its so obvious, no one could fall for--

Nia's foot sank onto the pressure plate.

Nia:

Uh...

Aaron:

{Phantom Hand}!

Aaron materialised the hand to stop any projectile. But nothing came. Then, gas oozed out of the wall and dispersed through the air. The gas entered Aaron's nose leaving a horrible smell. A single thought came to his mind.
