《Voiceless Wanderer》Chapter 3 and a half

Chapter 3.5
So the cave is massively bigger than I thought… and full of traps to, thankfully most are broken so they are highlighted in my range of vision. However I did set a few traps off… one was where spikes of mana pop up out of the ground, took some damage, another was when I was crossing a 20 ft bridge that had no side rails and a giant cylinder of metal that covered the entire length of the bridge swung down…
I had to hop off the bridge and grab the side. Then slowly cross the bridge like that because it became a pendulum… OH I forgot to mention that the five clockwork would salvage after I came up and said the floor was clear… Their names were Bolt, Hammer, Nail, Tool, and Scrap. Bolt is amazing when it comes to wiring or so he tells me; Hammer and Nail are twins, apparently it is really rare when clockwork form a ‘connection’ with another (basically they share their thoughts). They are good at construction. Tool, like his name is a genius crafter, again or so he says. Lastly, Scrap is fantastic at salvaging usable parts.
They also, with my help gathered 14 engines from the local clockwork and kind of fused them together to make an engine/furnace so they could melt the scrap down.
So counting all the days since I woke it has been 5 days. The clockwork guys have built a pseudo village outside the gate to the cave, the reason I pseudo is that there are 5 scrap shacks, Hammer and Nail share a shack.
Also we did recover the giant metal cylinder but that was a bit scary because the bridge wasn’t built to hold all that weight, so when we heard a crack and saw bricks fall we went significantly faster.
Also there was another scary trap… basically you are walking along and then a 5 meter radius around you turns 90 degrees and you have to go down a new path… but that trap was found on the later floors, like floor 15 and 16… The floors were MASSIVE, I tried mapping them out by carving into a piece of scrap 12 cm thick, a meter long, and half a meter wide. I could barely fit the floor map on it so it would be legible but, I did it with all the floors.

There were quite a few finds too, I found the residential district on floor 10, on floor 12 there was a legit smelter, so we dragged that up to our base camp, interesting thing was that it had 5 mana crystals the size of a head and held 10,000 mana. We also found plethora of upgraded tool gears with the smelter (pulled them off of clockwork).
There were quite a few panels that had some form of writing on them… Tool volunteered to try to decipher them. I found an interesting hidden path that lead to a sparse room that had a few worn out books in them. Thankfully the pages weren’t rotted, so I had Tool write down all the books onto scrap. How we are writing now is we use the welder to burn the letter or pattern onto a piece of scrap. Quite smart but very inefficient… need to remedy this in the future. I did gain a skill and title though.

Alright no that we’re all caught up in my log, oh that’s right I found a log feature after talking to Tool a bit. It allows me to document what I see and include images and videos. Also when we set up a Hub, where we can dump our logs to allow faster processing speeds. Also the Hubs tend to develop a consciousness from what Bolt told me, and they organize the logs into categories which we can assess by manual connection or wireless connection. It’s what allowed the clockwork to advance faster than the other races even though they were the youngest of the races.
A little delving into the past of our race enlightened me that the clockwork were intended to be soldiers and workers for the Gnomes and Dwarves but upon discovering that they made a sentient being they decided otherwise. However the clockwork that were sold already to other races couldn’t be recalled, thus contributing to the tech of the clockwork and their hate of Humans, Demons, Lizard men, and many others. The elves viewed the clockwork with animosity due to the lack of nature and magic the clockwork had. Little did they know we had all the schematics of each races technology and we knew of the flaws the schematics had due to our development of the Hubs.
When the clockwork freed themselves from their owners either through violence or diplomacy, they banded together to form an empire, the King clockwork was just a figurehead and the real minds were the counsel that’s existence was unknown to the other races. So when the king was killed by an assassin, our war begun. Us versus them, natural life verses artificial life, however the Dwarves and Gnomes were on the clockwork side. The war lasted for 500 years leading to the decimation and extinction of many races and species… there was no victor to the war… The enemies had numbers and the clockwork had both numbers and Technology, but that wasn’t enough, because they could directly manipulate the laws of this world through magic.
In my reminiscence I wandered down to floor 19, from what tool translated, this place had 20 floors. We had a plethora of crossbows and these really cool mana swords, the sword has four parts: the hilt, the foci, the amplifier, and the true blade. The hilt holds both the foci, which is a piece of glass like material, and the amplifier, which is a device that increases the density of the mana. The true blade is basically a slab of metal which the mana coats to form the blade. There is a length of 10 inches between the edge of the blade and the edge of the true blade. IT’S SOOOOOO COOOOLLLLLL!!!!
Anyways, time to go down to floor 20.

Having a Common Game Ability In Normal Life
As long as i can remember, i can see something other people can't see Yes, on the top right of my vision, i have something that looks like a map, does it useful? how does something that blocks 1/32 of my vision to be useful? Does it have to be useful.. right? As i get older, this looks like "mini-map" in a video game that i played, so i decided to call this Mini-map at least I'm not the only one with this kind of thing.. from what I've found, everyone has different ability, for example my little sister can see another person status, there's a person that can heal wounds by eating meat, there's a person that once a day can spin roulette to get reward, there's a person that can jump twice in the air and there's a person that can throw fireballs..... wait a minute!? the story will be slow, since i just write this to train my english anyhow the idea of this story will be if someone can throw a fireball does their hand burns? if someone can jump for 30m can they survive the fall? if a bard play a song that can regen their allies, why’s the enemy isn’t regenerating? if a cleris creates a barrier can their allies attack from inside barrier? and About the first few chapter i know the grammar was really bad but it’ll help me if you guys read the first few chapter and go straight to the last and tell me have i improve or not P.S i hope The world has “common language” feature so everyone speak in the same tongue lol
