《Optabilis Mundo: Shroud of Black Resort》Volume 1 - Chapter 17: Second Month of Training + Autopsy Analysis

Somewhere near the House Delicia
One month later after their sword training...
Both Juliette and Mirai stood in front of something marvelous— the rocky wall.
The wall was twenty meters tall with bulk yet a bit of rocks stuck on its surface, useful for the ones who wanted to climb the wall through their balanced feet placed on the bit pieces. Although it was dark to see because of the night sky without clear lights except its dim illumination from the shiny moon, the purpose of having it at night was the activation of her abilities — mainly blood-type magic.
"I'm sorry that it has to be a nighttime training," Juliette said with her frustrated sigh.
"I mean… the moonlight helps me to see… right?" Mirai responded with a terrifying gasp.
Mirai expected it based on the course that it would be an immense struggle for her to climb all the way to the top of the wall — measured around twenty meters tall. Her heart throbbed as she sweated out from the top of her forehead; the fear of heights overwhelmed her with convulsive nerves. Juliette noticed her reaction as she gazed towards Mirai's sarcastic smirk.
"To ease up your fear, I'll let you exhibit how I do it," Juliette said.
Juliette approached the wall while stretching her arms and legs to flex her still joints. Mirai heard the cracking sounds coming from Juliette's body. At first, she believed that the old hag like her couldn't handle the distress, but her skillful and clever personality proved it otherwise. Despite her young-looking face and ivory skin, her sharp finesse made it easier to climb the wall.
By that, Juliette ascended the wall with a jump-and-grab technique.
"Woah~"
Mirai astounded as she witnessed Juliette — climbing the rocky walls without convulsive hesitation. Even though her feet were way apart from each other, Juliette used her flexible finesse to carry her body without looking beneath her.
Mirai thought with her bit of jaw dropped, " (Please shoot my head right now… I've underestimated this old hag before, but I hope she will accept my forgiveness.) "
She recalled the certain moment when she fondled Juliette's humongous bust for examining her cup size, but it turned out that it irritated Juliette, urging her to throw Mirai to the ground where death might await her in the gate of afterlife.
While Juliette was climbing the wall, Mirai sat on the ground as she watched above until Juliette hit the finishing line to conclude her success.
Juliette screamed while tapping the highest area of the wall, "That's how you do it… without safety ropes at your waist, your flexibility could do the work. Just don't put too much weight on your feet!"
"I know," Mirai shrieked. "But is there another way for me to climb without putting my feet on these untrustworthy rocks? I also cannot trust my balance."
"Then, what's the point of bringing you here? Are you supposed to grasp your expectation even beyond?... If you want to find any shortcut, then do it by yourself, you'll never know how long you have to spend time, riding on a carriage just to sleep every hour with clunking noises and quaking distraction."
By Juliette's frustrated response, Mirai grinned with a nerve-racking cheek. She didn't expect that she had done it with a bit of seconds to reach the farthest height from the surface. She pressed against her forehead to relieve her inevitable fear. She couldn't believe that the old hag like her moved every inch with no trembling mistakes to fall from where she stood.

When Mirai once again gazed above the wall, she gasped as Juliette suddenly disappeared from where she stood earlier. There was no single proof of sounds that even her vigilant ears weren't able to receive any commotion, so she stood her legs up and wandered around as she searched for Juliette's whereabouts; her turning face hastened around her for any sight of a single appearance. Unfortunately, nothing appeared before her.
"Where did she go? What in the–"
However, someone appeared behind her; the sound of the stepped-grass caught her attention. Following the first sound, the second one surprised her the most, "Bah!"
Mirai yelped as the soft touch received on both of her shoulders. She blenched from the source of the fearsome feeling, although it didn't come from the actual ghost that she truly believed in. In fact — it was Juliette van Vermiculo who surprised and caused her to wheeze.
Juliette laughed, "Did I scare you out of fear? No wonder you're such a clumsy person despite I trained you in sword-fighting techniques from the beginning of the last month… or perhaps, you're into that thing. "
"What 'that thing' are you talking about? It's not funny when you immediately disappear from my sight. Speaking of which, you're just a slutty person who spends time sleeping on dozens or beyond that amount of men, including or excluding Jeff," Mirai provoked against Juliette.
"Speak of yourself, at least you're not anymore a virgin who was tasted by that old man back from the rotten mansion," Juliette chuckled with a sigh afterwards. "Looks like we're on an equivalent terms for now."
"Equivalent terms?"
Juliette suddenly frowned with a slight bow of her head while Mirai gnashed her teeth as she exaggerated with offended effect, but she slowly surrendered herself to where Juliette was having a reflective moment within herself. She sympathized with her as if there was nothing to say for that.
"Um… do I have to climb up that damn rocky wall?" Mirai asked.
"Oh…. Yeah! Try not to look down once your feet are on the rock. As a woman like you, you must have more flexible anatomy than the guys to keep the pace straightforward," Juliette slurred for a bit.
By that, Mirai approached the wall as she prepared to take a breath and climb it with no single convulsion. She stretched her arm to the pieces from below the wall and grabbed it to drag her body. She carried her body from its grip to raise for another grip. From arms to legs, it secured even the uncertainty could kill her in a second.
"(This is it… Even though my arms and legs were unsure of it. I have to pitch myself till the top of this goddamn rock-climbing wall. I have to sit my ass tight before it will loosen its grip.)" Mirai thought while breathing hard to gain a sufficient supply of oxygen.
Her bowing head could take an effect while climbing the wall to the top. The tension held to grasp momentarily since the limitation of her arm matched differently and less than Juliette could handle it. Thankfully, the rigid rocks secured her balance-trying feet, although twenty meters sufficed her beyond expectation. Mirai needed to compose herself before the fear could cloud her mind over, but she also didn't want to waste thinking about any possibilities that might endanger her to the end.
Her priority was getting up to the top despite any priorities needed for her. She should chase it before the time of fear would come out. Her keen morale enveloped her mind to maintain the firmness of her physical determination. What caused her self-confidence? Why and how did she gain that rally? Did she know it from the very beginning?

Juliette mumbled while crossing her arms and locking on Mirai, "Looks like I pull her out from the cage. Thanks to my sudden scare, her scream even dissing me was worth a trick up my sleeves for her…. I'm quite clever in psychological magic… even honey trap missions were worth learning."
Juliette acknowledged her own technique for letting Mirai to slap for a wake.
Meanwhile, Mirai gained the position at the almost top — one more climb to the very top of the wall. The most strenuous part was right above her; she needed to secure her legs before it might trip by its loose grip. She respired heavily as her heart throbbed more than what she had in a last time, and her lungs lacked the stable supply of oxygen. Although her stamina developed from the last month, she should correlate the application to what she challenged on right here; carrying her body one last time would be her first glorious step to overcome her fear.
However…
Because of her leg raised first, her foot on that side suddenly slipped off from the chains. It caused her body with its same outcome from her foot; her hands convulsed with her heavy throb. The gravity forced her to lose the grip as her hefty fear crumbled her confidence. The gate of death awaited her to come.
"Haaaa!"
But luckily, someone was behind her all along could catch her for just a second. Juliette had Mirai clutching onto her arms while falling from loose ends — clinging like a precious lover and diving her face closer between their contact, except Juliette considered her as an apprentice.
"Ju–Ju–Juliette!" Mirai cried while panting by anguished fear.
"Don't worry, I told you it has to be nighttime training. Who else could've saved you?" Juliette said while glaring at her.
By the time when Juliette finally caught her, she immediately brought herself and Mirai back to the surface without a need to climb or jump down on the surface. She put her down to stand on the surface without throwing her to the ground. She angered her for a bit, but she also smirked at the same time.
"I know it will be difficult for you. If you ran out of gas, that's when your blood felt what's overwhelming your mind over your own confidence. If I wasn't able to surprise you, your fear might catch your last breath in a brief time," Juliette berated her.
"Oh… so that's why."
Even Juliette angered her much. She appreciated her effort of reaching almost the top. Meanwhile, Mirai felt that she didn't want to climb the rocky wall over again, but she forced herself to try it again; she had to build her accommodation before any danger would lurk behind her anytime till her last breath. Juliette worried her for a bit, but she also didn't want to show her merciful face in front of her. She had to let her apprentice achieve the triumphant strength to overcome her humiliation. Strength, agility, endurance, and intelligence were the essential core elements that Juliette was looking forward to in Mirai's endeavor.
Mirai perceived her training as she didn't want to disappoint Juliette in front of her ferocious eyes.

Underground Laboratory - Somewhere in the Northeast District of Falx City
Kyle and Myles stood before a certain unique-looking brown spiky-haired scientist named Dr. Wilhelm Drake who could examine every corpse of strange troll creatures and slave women who died by their ruptured womb. The blood gushed out from their belly; some of them had enormous bloodstains from her vagina. Meanwhile, the troll creatures lied down that the members of Black Tears squad previously killed them with their swords, arrows, and bullets.
The bodies lied down on their designated stainless metallic table while covering their body with a vast white cloth to keep them safe and secured. The frigid air generated from the manual ice-filled conditioner wafted around the laboratory to prevent the bodies from any scavenging insects to consume their body.
"Tsk tsk tsk… these ladies had received the excess amount of a blow from something to be the troll's genitalia. Its humongous size beyond that of a normal human can spew through their penetration until their wombs die out of their hormones and every inch of its bloody fibers," Wilhelm explained while peeking closer for their autopsy examination.
"Unfortunate outcomes made them pass through their tormenting humiliation. I feel pity for them if they had no intention to bring themselves without expectation," Kyle said while crossing his arms.
"I mean… they were abducted, right? They were registered slaves from the Black Market which turned out to be bought for this kind of… human experiment, right?" Myles asked with his exasperated face.
"Well… there's no single article about abolishing the Black Market system. Even there were no single members of the Parliament who have passed that kind of bill… Now, I'm really skeptical of these politicians," Kyle responded.
"No matter what you try… they are too clever to hide the truth."
Wilhelm grabbed the thin scalpel and surgical tongs to reach a certain womb that had small bits of white cream stained in the middle of the surrounding blood. He had to catch it with his test tube on his other hand without capturing a single volume of blood coming from the dead female body; the result was triumphant as he retrieved it perfectly with no mix of disturbance.
"Got it…. Now for the observation," Wilhelm slightly grinned as he headed toward the microscope.
"Never expect for a scooping expert," Kyle chuckled.
"Don't worry… I'm sure that this kind of discovery will surely intrigue me."
As Wilhelm took out the "scooping" tools, he peeked closer to the ocular lens as he placed the bit of white cream onto the separate glass and moved it beneath its aim. He rolled the knob as he took a closer visualization of a Nano-sized illustration from the white cream.
"Woah~ I think this sperm cell is bigger compared to the normal male ones," Wilhelm gasped while observing the structure of the cell.
"Even if they haven't taken a closer look, it looks like these sperms are impermeable to the normal egg cell. Two or dozen times the size of its average can't unite them for fertilization… I guess some of them can probably penetrate vigorously through the egg cell."
"Sounds safe and unsafe to me," Kyle commented. "What's the purpose for the trolls to be reproduced?"
"I don't think they were naturally born. It seemed that they were artificially manufactured by a certain trigger that can transfigure their DNA to the utmost replication."
"So you say that… These trolls aren't the thing that came from a certain myth," Myles asked curiously.
"You can put it that way, but I'm sure that the myth you're talking about is a man-made product."
Wilhelm put out of his eyes from the lens as he turned his face towards the two black-coated men who he perceived from the expert's answer.
"I suspect that there is some kind of drug that can trigger the reaction upon injecting them to the bits of their blood. Widespread replication is the principal problem of these former mankind creatures since their testosterone was heavily enhanced with a rigorous effect that can withstand and reform their body into exceeding stress and strength. To put it it probably induced them were probably for more manpower of every individual," Wilhelm concluded his observation.
"So in other words, they might produce for the stronger units," Kyle summed it up.
"Strong units yet brainless unconsciousness could overwhelm them with its kind of behavior," Myles added.
"Precisely yes."
Wilhelm agreed with Myles' statement since the probability of the rebellious party could plan for the absolute strategy to overwhelm the strength of a normal military force. If it could add some members from distinct divisions, then the small yet sneaky act from them could expose them by their advantage. The purpose of the artificial-made trolls was remained considerable for a theoretical hypothesis, but none of it could surpass it as it made sense to them. Even though the fact had known to them, it intrigued them as they realized what plan could work into this strategy from the redcoats and Blue Devil cult.
"No matter who, what, when, and how… we'll put a stop to this before the situation could get worsened," Kyle mumbled.
For that, both of the black-coated comrades thanked Wilhelm with their bow and departed from the laboratory while Wilhelm continued to collect the data from every corpse; he had to figure it out before any alternatives might enhance the result even further.

8 71Tales of the Willful Autonomous Nanobot Generator
Due to over-engineering and poor parenting; a nanobot generator is sent into the wider universe, ready to solve any and all problems...though probably not the way that was intended, or even hoped for. This story is a first time attempt to use a literary device I came up with, where I use 4 randomly selected songs to write short stories. As such there really won't be any cohesive story thread between chapters. If this gets traction, the likelihood for reader polls to influence the next story are high.
