《Wanderers of the New World》Epilogue

“As expected, it seems it’s another win for me this year, William.” Romero chuckled then comfortably took a sip from his cup.

“Aren’t you forgetting my daughter, Romero?” Sylvia, the head of the Cristaa Family, stared at Romero as she gave him a smile.

“Of course not,” Romero put down the cup. “I’ve included your daughter when I said my son would win.”

“Well, we’ll see about that,” Sylvia then looked at me, her brows furrowed in confusion. “Still, I’ve never expected for you to put your name on such a weak commoner. Is your family name really not that important to you, William? The same thing happened last year.”

I smiled. “Of course, I do. It’s just a miscalculation on my part.” Still though, I’d never expected it to be this one-sided. Galbero was an excellent individual no doubt but as far as I recall, he didn’t have any real battle experience, which should have been Terrin’s advantage.

Covered with wounds all over his body, Terrin struggled to fight. He was always overwhelmed by Galbero, giving him no time to react at all.

I might have given him too much credit.

Strangely, Even though Galbero was coming at him, Terrin stood still. Did he have any plan on his sleeve? He would die if he didn’t do anything with the incoming monstrous attack from Galbero.

Suddenly, I felt a profound fear as I looked at Terrin smiling. His face reminded me of someone. Someone whose life cost thousands of soldiers, and the one who ripped off my left arm. It was terrifyingly all too familiar, and I could barely even focus on the match. I started to feel nauseous and my body started to shiver just thinking about it.

My fear grew significantly as I felt a terrifying familiar aura around Terrin. It was all too familiar that it almost felt real. I had only experienced that certain aura twice and I could never forget it. The fear those auras expelled could make even the most courageous man quivered in fear. I tried to convince myself to not believe what I was thinking. It couldn’t be possible. I watched that wretched creature died. There was no way. No way.

As their battle progressed, Terrin had turned it in his favor. He relentlessly punched Galbero’s face to a pulp with that terrifying smile.

She’s dead. That wretched creature is dead. I saw her heart getting impaled. I saw her body being burned and completely turned into ash. But that aura…It negated all of my reasons. That alone convinced my mind that she was alive. I could never forget her sadistic smile and that murderous aura. Never.

Witches are mysterious creatures, after all. But this does make things interesting. Maybe I don’t have to follow her orders anymore and maybe I can finally save her.

“Is there something wrong, William?” Sylvia worryingly asked.

“Everything’s fine.” I smiled as usual. “Things have just gotten interesting. Now if you would excuse me.” I stood up and leave. There was much to prepare.
