《Unknown Past》Volume 1 Chapter 6: Departures, Part 2: Hunter's Perspective

It has been about one day since their plan failed. It was all over the news. The stories of the "miracle awakenings" following the "comatose cases" were the main headlines, but one important part of these stories was what happened with the upper class. With over half of those rich bastards dead, much of the city's revenue was lost. Plus, the high casualty rate and property damage also resulted in plenty of other unforeseen costs. For this reason, as proposed by one of the younger rich men, a new economic system in favor of better economic stability was proposed and accepted. My guess is that fear was the only reason those other assholes agreed.
This actually is a bad thing. I was hoping to get their money for myself and my master, when Dodge and Chates kicked the rich men out of power.
But no matter. Once I find what I'm looking for, I think I will be satisfied.
Although it's in shambles, the apartment Dodge and Chates hid in before the final conflict still has much of its documents intact. I searched through their bookshelves, and, after finding a special hidden box as well as the keys to open it, I have found the documents I have been searching for.
"Although it didn't end as planned, I suppose I can say phase one of our master plan was a success."
On my way out, I hear some familiar sounds. Dodge's video game. I listen for the sound and find his gaming system under some of the rubble. The game is still on and working, much to my surprise. The only noticeable damage I see is a chip in the screen. I look at what Dodge was doing and see that the battery is low and about to run out. On the screen, it says,

"There is a questionnaire. Would you like to fill it out?"
I think for a second, then click "yes." A new screen, with "Questionnaire" at the top, comes up, with four lines below it already filled out.
And in those four lines, Dodge chose the following words:
All Is Forever Too Late
A second later, the system blacks out.

Devil's Basement: Colony Ragnarok
Far beneath the surface of a planet wrapped in a toxic atmosphere, competing political ideologies stare each other down over a heavily militarised line that cuts through the city on their border. Among the dark rail tunnels and mine shafts are an unfinished treaty up for negotiation; a fanatical terrorist group with questionable backers; and ordinary people caught in the middle. In this claustrophobic environment, those who desire peace must act quickly or these tunnels will collapse in the fires of war. _____ This story is based on a role-playing map game I GM'd awhile ago. The four main characters are based on the four players from that map game, and the general sequence of events follows the game as well.
