It's been some time since I've been in New Vegas. Or any large city for that matter. The realms where money is worth more than life. It's a sad truth. If only money wasn't everything. If only money wasn't power.

(But power is what rules the world! Power is everything! Power is what we've always desired! It is those with power that decide anything and everything in this world!)

(Shut up! You're a broken record!)

I cannot deny the power I've received from my lord has definitely changed my life in many positive ways, but neither can I deny the negative.

To have as many personalities as I do hydra heads, that is the curse I bear. The curse of an outcross.

I need money. More money! More money for my lord! More money for his revolution! For our revolution!

(For ourselves! Money for ourselves! Power for ourselves!)

This is who I am. I live for my lord. I will hunt down what he desires, and I will retrieve it.

I am Hunter Vérité.

I look around, find a small convenience store, and buy some bread. On my way out, I see a starving child looking into the window, staring at what few edible things lie within the store. I cannot help but sympathize.

I break off a large portion of my bread and hold it out towards the child.

"Here," I say, "go on, take it."

The child looks at me, then happily takes the piece from my hands.

"Thank you, nice guy!" says the kid running away with the food.

It's nice to see somebody be happy, but I cannot save everyone. Not like this. That's why we need revolution. To change the world for the better. That's why I am here in New Vegas. I'm here to check on their progress.

And, for the record, I'm a girl.
