《GREED : ALL FOR WHAT?》Chapter 24-What's what.

Origin essence.
The list of exchangeable rewards went on and on but Gerald only paid attention to the ones that interested him. At this stage of training, all sovereigns know about Origin essence. It is the crystallization of pure origin energy derived from the refinement of void energy. Void energy exists outside the realm tree It is a chaotic, destructive, and caustic energy that most sovereigns cannot even touch, the best they can do is protect themselves against. That's why you need a sovereign level of power to leave the lower realm for the upper realm. Only powerful creatures and origin gods can withstand void energy and attempt to refine origin essence from it. Some powerful creatures can withstand it enough to produce origin essence without being at the origin god level, Dragons, world beasts, and void beasts.
Life essence.
Life essence is the next best thing after origin essence. In the entirety of the void universe, it is rarer than Origin essence. Origin essence might be rare for sovereigns and below but for origin gods it is not. Life essence isn't something that can be gotten even by origin gods. Life essence can be gotten from creatures with extremely high affinity with life laws, for example, the Life trees of the High life plane. Life essence has many uses to the common mortal creature up to the level of origin god. The common mortal creature can use it to awaken his soul and gain superior soul talent, can be used to increase fertility in low fertility races, and can be used to maintain youthfulness and elongate the lifespan of dying people. Titans and beings of law consider these uses to be just wasteful because to them it practically counts as another life. It is very difficult for beings of law to be injured but once they are injured, it is likewise very difficult to heal their injuries. To beings of law, including origin gods, the life essence can bring them back from within an inch of death. The effect is lower to origin gods, only a copious amount of origin energy, origin essence, and time can heal them from devastating injuries at their level, but life essence can stabilize their condition and prevent them from losing their consciousness. The Life trees of the High Heaven realm are resources that are almost on par with universe-level strategic resources, it is because of them that the high elves have a superior standing in the upper realm.

Origin weapons and artifacts.
Origin weapons and artifacts are types of equipment that can only be used with origin energy. They are used by beings on the path of perfection, gods have their category called divine weapons. The simple definition of being capable of using origin energy does not do them justice, they also have ranks of grade. From low, middle, High to Top Grade ranks. Low-grade origin weapons are origin weapons with at least 1% power of laws. This is the minimum requirement to qualify as an origin weapon but their power and durability differ. The mid-grade rank of origin weapons demands at least 50% of the power of law, up to 100%. This type of weapon is still useful to sovereigns. High-grade origin weapons are weapons that possess the concept of laws. While low and mid-grade weapons can be made by runesmiths, only an origin god can make a high-grade origin weapon. Any origin god can make this rank of weapon, their quality and power will certainly differ but the weakest high-grade origin weapon isn't something a mid-grade can compare to. Top-grade origin weapons are weapons that even world gods would cherish.
Origin artifacts use origin energy but they are used for other things apart from attacking. There are defensive artifacts like armor, shields, and protective barriers. There are teleportation, storage, flying, and housing artifacts. They also have ranks to them, a high-grade artifact is a minimum requirement for an artifact to be useful in the void, they can also only be built by origin gods. Gehald had only one high-grade artifact of good quality and one high-grade weapon of low quality. They were both given to him by his race when he became a sovereign. The quality of the artifact he was given as a result of his impressive show of talent. The artifact possessed the concept of time, which means he can speed up or slow down space within it. It also has a beacon that can be fused with the soul that enables him to access the pocket dimension wherever he is and to teleport to the pocket dimension at the cost of origin stones if the space he currently is as not been sealed. Low-grade space artifacts might have large storage but the space within it will be frozen. Mid-grade space artifacts can store living creatures in them, unlike low-grade ones. His high-grade weapon is just an ordinary one with a concept of cutting, unlike the soul daggers that Staten Rubit uses. While Gehald's weapon is just sharp, staten's damages the soul and stuns the target. The soul daggers aren't physical so they can't be blocked using physical means, just one touch from them dooms a target to certain death unless the person has a very powerful soul.

Weapons are a very important part of a person's strength, in the path of perfection it is almost impossible for a person within a lower level of power to fight someone of a higher level, but a weapon can make it possible. It will be difficult to defeat or kill someone of a higher level even with a very powerful origin weapon but it is more than possible to resist. Outside the trial of heaven, it is extremely difficult to kill another person with a similar level of power, that person can still run even if he is defeated, terrifying laws and weapons make killing an opponent highly possible.
