《The Runes Pirate of One Piece》Chapter 40 - The Shadow

Staring at the newly manmade pond created by himself alone, Pate can't help but think of the mystery that envelopes this place.
"This place is starting to suffocate me, kiddo" the voice of the guardian forest who transforms back to his ethereal cat form reverted to his mind.
"Yeah, but when I put my hand back then that force is kinda familiar when the wooden wall that I made breaks in because of the current pressure. Fortunately, this bubble kinda saves us." Pate said while he dips his finger in the pond and feels the weakness spreading.
"What do you mean?"
"It's the force of the 20,000 current pressure." he said as he pulled his finger out of the pond and the weakness he felt lessened considerably.
"That's impossible, your hand back then didn't even penetrate the bubbles to enter the deep sea. You just put your hand in the bubble." the phantom cat tried to remember the series of scenes.
"Yeah, that's why this bubble. I presume it's not as simple as it would be, and there are so many questions filling up. But one thing I'm sure of is that this place, once you enter you wouldn't be able to leave." he said while pointing to the fish that were swimming peacefully.
"Like us and these fishes are the best evidence about it even the monster knows these matters as they avoided the bubble area. Well, it's a good thing that we landed at the edge of the bubble." Pate said and he looked at the hole that became their window that formed in the midst of rubbles as he peeked at the far away two mountain skulls outside.
"And the mystery about how these two mountain skulls maintain their dry blood meat like they were just killed a few months ago when they were here for almost hundreds of years according to your story." Pate couldn't help but wonder.

"And the monster crabs, if I remember correctly, they are just so little and could only grow half of the average human adult but now they are towering giants that even surpasses some of the average sea kings." added the phantom cat.
"Then we could conclude that this phenomenon was connected to the unassuming bubble as I think that when you were sent to the surface, this bubble didn't exist in the first place. Right?" Ask Pate while he tries to connect the dots and clues that they currently have.
"Your right, this bubble didn't exist when I was sent to the surface and there is no way that the ancestors would create a bubble like this that would be killing themselves to annihilation." the Guardian Forest said while he participated to analyze the situation.
"Hmmm, I think that too then we could think that this bubble was created by the enemy - the Tenryubito race!" Pate said and an idea struck him instantly as his eyes widened a bit and asked the phantom cat "Hey, what do you think the World Government wanted to achieve earlier on the surface when the Marine Captain acted like he must retrieve something important?"
"It's the fishwheel eggs, I feel that they know that the eggs were in my possession and must know that the eggs must be incubated into a rich nutrients pond for ten years but the negligent amount of nutrients that the island can provide stretches it to almost hundreds of years and it is the exact date that the eggs would hatch in a month." the phantom cat said, lamenting that he didn't do his job well.
"Shit! how could they know that time would be the end of their incubation?" Pate's mind started to run as his mind spun to a silhouette of a man who is seated on the throne like a chair "This isn't looking good!"

"Now that you mention that, I really don't know." said the phantom cat who just looked at the swimming fish.
'Did my reincarnation interrupted the goals of that man then it looks like he didn't know my existence then as he didn't predict the Guardian Forest partnering with me to fight back and send the whole island deep down here.'
"Ow, right before I forgot. I want to request something from you." said Pate looking at the phantom cat.

In a place that unbeknownst to anyone and secretly guarded by the Five Elders of the World Government.
The Five Elders were kneeling as they show in their expression how they respect the silhouette that sits in the Empty Throne that is kept in the three-level red and white platform and has several swords and axes slightly planted in the second and third level's floor.
And in the same level of the throne surrounding it, are twenty rusting relics of the twenty founding kingdoms.
As time kept passing by, the Five Elders were still kneeling and didn't dare to question the pondering silhouette. They didn't even bat an eye as they showed their loyalty and reverence.
"The prophecy of the future, the Light and the one who will ignite it haven't appeared in this generation." the Five Elders lift their heads as they listen intently without relinquishing any words.
All of them sigh in relief because it shows that the chosen bearing of justice is not in the current generation then they can prepare much more time.
"But, an unknown element shows up that even I was caught off guard. It just shows up without a sign." an interesting tone couldn't help but be felt in the shadow that was sitting on the throne.
"What do you mean, Lord Im?"
"A symbol that will carry the peace was hidden well in the shadow that even the power of the Empty Throne couldn't peer on the karmic string of that person." the silhouette shows how amazed he is in his tone as he continues "The whole future was going to crumble because of that person, be vigilant about everything from now on!"
The silhouette stands up indicating that the meeting was over but he stops midway as he said "Hmmm, We will call that new element - the shadow. Complimenting his skills in hiding that the Empty Chair and I are hopeless." the silhouette chuckled weakly as it walked to the dark panel.
"Go! Find him and peel off the cover that hides him from my eyes."
"Yes, Lord Im!"
