《The Runes Pirate of One Piece》Chapter 28 - Manifestation of Forest's Will

Pate's consciousness fell in a trance state as he felt his sense of his surroundings become a part of him.
He feels that the forest is trying to communicate with him again but not this time as he was in a difficult time and he doesn't want to be held in prison again and watch someone's story again.
When the roots of every tree are slithering around him like soldiers forming around their commander, waiting for his command to attack and defend.
An unassuming black cat was waltzing towards Pate as the roots made a path for the black cat. The cat stops in front of Pate who looks down with his two spider web glowing eyes, the two of them eyeing each other.
"Noble kid, you have what it takes to achieve your desire. I can help you and as repayment, you can help me achieve what is my desire. So what is your decision?" The black cat didn't open its mouth but an ancient voice was heard inside of Pate's mind.
"You are the Guardian Forest!" even though Pate is in an unusual state because of mixed sentiment that keeps attaching to him like glue, he still has his sliver of consciousness to know his surroundings.
"I am," the black cat said as a spiritual-like fog gushed out of its body "In the day that was so long that I didn't even remember when this cat died because of hunger as the people see this kind of animal as an epitome of misfortune. This cat didn't have the chance that I was given when he needed that is why I chose his body to carry my Will. And use his soul to be the brand of my existence, this is the only consolation I can give."

After the Forest Will dictates the black cat's tragic story he once again gives the kid a questioning look as he telepathy said "You have a unique soul than the others I have seen, all of their last sentiments were attached to your soul like a leech murmuring their grievance. All you can do is give their death the justice they deserve - its vengeance!"
As Pate recalled the villager's death one by one a tear formed in his eyes and silently flowed in his cheek and he cryingly nodded, hardening his resolve "I agree!"
The black cat was dissolved in ashes as the spiritual mist flowed like water to Pate's body and entered his every pore.
Eight thin green vines silently attached to the back of Pate as every one of them was pumping something inside of Pate's body and a mysterious and ancient green and black tattoo appeared in the back of Pate as his fruit power kicked in.
The center of the Tattoo forms Cat Face with a black tattoo signifying the existence of the Forest Will and this symbol was surrounded by a green tattoo of leaf, tree, and vines symbol that flowed through his both shoulder blades.
Pate's perception extended to the whole island easily and he didn't even need to use his power of perception.
As he noted every one of pirates and marines on this island, he felt that all of the villager's sentiments were in fear and agony. He can't help but shudder in anger and wrath as he levitates in the air with the eight green vines still connected to his back.
"Don't worry. I'll get your justice right here, right now!" he lifted both of his hands as he attempted to control the whole forest "I'll kill them all, none of them will leave this place alive."

"Huh?" a pirate stops in his place as he feels he is being watched and in return, his companion looks at him in dazed.
"What the heck is your problem?" a hot-blooded pirate look at him in annoyance as they didn't spot even one in this goddamn forest and they are likely lost.
"I just sense someone watching us in the shadows!" he retorted while looking around, alert to every possible sneak attack that might have caught them off guard.
"Then let them come!" the other excitedly shouted and unsheath his long swords in his side.
But they didn't feel that under them dozens of roots were slithering and sprouted out attacking under them where they didn't expect they would attack from.
Two roots coiled the hot-headed pirate's legs and lifted him in the air while the other one almost got caught but he slashed multiple times just to cut one of the roots.
"So tough!" he didn't expect a few inches of root width would be so tough to cut in two with his sharp sword.
"Aaahhhhhhh! Jel, help me!" he looked at his companion and was ready to dash forward and dodge the two other roots in front of him.
But he was caught off guard as three other roots plunged at his back "F*ck!"
The two roots coiled at him like a snake and he couldn't help but struggle but he felt that the three roots that plunged into his back were sucking his blood, therefore, making him weak because of blood loss.
He sees to the other side that his companion was coiled by dozens of roots but he still can see the face of his companion who is weakly calling for help.
His face started to pale and in a second it was thinning in a minute and like his meat and blood were sucked out of him and he was terrified as he felt that he's losing his strength.
As his vision started to blur because of weakness and hollowness he felt he saw that his companion that was coiled in roots was dragged in the ground and nowhere to be seen like he didn't exist and came here to slaughter.
And at last, his consciousness fell in the abyss never to feel that weakness again.
In every part of the Forest, every marine and pirate one by one were killed in the same manner as their blood and meat were sucked to be the nutrients that flowed through the body of Pate who didn't feel the tiniest of it as he focus on watching the death of every one of them.
Mad Bear Torres pushes out some big rubble in front of him and sees Pate who is levitating mid-air and he can't help but feel fear as he remembers the devastating whip root that was inflicted on his waist.
Holding his caved in waist, he can't help but shed some sweat because of pain. The regeneration of the Zoan type of his can't heal this kind of heavy injury in a short time as he didn't even achieve the Awaken stage.
He needed a whole week to fully heal this kind of heavy injury and needed nutrients that would supplement his recovery "Just who is this kid!? so powerful, only the Marine Captain can bring him down. Urrhhgghh"
But he didn't see five slithering roots in his back as he looked at Pate who was just levitating in the air.

I have so much planned for this that it should be fun and entertaining for readers who enjoy the LitRPG genre as much as I do. Please join me as I recount the tale of a man who becomes a legend — both in-game and out of it. I plan to attempt a weekly update schedule. Upload Sunday evening(for me). Warning! This story will involve some amount of cussing to help add some realism and some insinuated sex that will fade to black the moment the fun begins. I am hoping to mostly keep this Rated PG-13 with maybe a few Chapters going rated-R due to language.

Ars Magica
Our vision comes back into focus. Our eyes, while being able to perceive the immediate surroundings, still leave us with our minds uncomprehending towards what is actually occurring. Sure, there are definitive things that we can focus on, like the fact that we're either out upon the open sea or the open ocean, there not being much of a difference with no land in sight, as well as the fact that we appear to be upon a haphazardly constructed metal boat, whose seams are barely able to keep a hold of themselves in the crashing waves. However, that does not let us understand what exactly is causing the waves in the first place. If we were to rewind time, we'd find ourselves upon a calm sea under a peaceful sky with the only difference, being a small whirlpool that would be the precursor towards this uproar around the boat. Lightning flashes in the sky, with no clouds being near, and anyone actually manning the boat has either died towards the cause of the smashing tides in the first place, or are fighting amongst the flashes of lightning, all while trying not to become devoured, demolished, and utterly decimated by the beast roiling in the whirling waves. To better understand exactly what is happening here, there is one singular event that needs to be understood, that needs to be explained, and that is the arrival of a creature named Dave. Stepping back from current events and going towards this creature's first appearance in the world, we begin to hear the sound of water slowly dripping across rocky ground. The cavern is utterly silent except for this one constant, its cause feeding channels downwards, sloping towards cracks in the rubble along the floor from broken stalagmites and stalactites. And there, lying on top of something which had fallen over recently, judging from its cracks, is a person, the creature named Dave. His form is fast asleep, either from the impact or from an intoxication, judging from the smell upon its breath. A bright light suffuses into it for a second, giving life towards the pale skin, before it slowly dies down back to the comfortable black of the cave that it's within. Before this moment in time, Dave did not exist in the physical world. At least, not in the reality that he finds himself born into. We do not know whether or not his existence is simply a cosmic joke, or something that is being played out on purpose. All that we do know, is that one moment, the body was not in the cave, and simply formed in the next. The actual earliest time that we know Dave exists, is the interpolation of the memories of J-209, which we'll begin looking into shortly to gain context towards the coming narrative that is being written and hastily trying to keep itself written. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Warning: This story has several things which might turn its readers away. The first is that this story has shifting points of perspective. Don't worry about that previous sentence too much though, as the main character will always have a first person perspective associated with them. However, any other character from which we're viewing the story from will either be in third-person, as we are not necessarily in their shoes at the moment, or in first person, given that the narrator is an actual physical presence within the story. For the most part, chapters will be self-contained with their perspectives, so there will not be an abundance of switching perspectives within the same chapter. The most that an average reader would have to worry about is the fact that perspectives can switch between chapters. The second thing is that the main character is a bit on the 'special' side of things. He's not exactly mentally there most of the time, so there will be some times that his personality or his thoughts do not actively align with his actions. The third, and final thing of importance, is the fact that past the first couple of chapters, nothing has been planned in advance. There are arcs and plots that I want to do, want to implement, or have already been set into motion from our main character's introduction to the world, but the method that I use for my story writing and generating leads towards a bit more random chance being enabled. Basically...there's a lot of dice rolling behind the scenes. To not complicate the story further than its regular LitRPG elements, the rolls will not be publicly available. However, there will be knowledge within the author's notes on whether or not there were positive or negative critical rolls that had occurred within the chapter. You have been warned. Updates: Mondays & Fridays (Schedule permitting) Typical Chapter Length: (2,000-3,000)

Monstrous Path
This story is both dark and lighthearted, it will have a lot of deaths and gore scenes but not just for the sake of being edgy or something like that. Every being comes from someone’s life — a womb, an egg, the world, a God, and from itself. Then what about me? I came from a container, so what does that make me? Am I still a being? “I do not know — I want to understand — why?” This was my driving force to live when I opened my eyes, I had no need for food, I only needed to satiate my curiosity. But as I learned early on, life was not as simple as it seemed. Note: The Characters in this world would always have a reason for living, and the world moves not just because of the MC. This would also have a lot of tearjerking scenes (or so I would hope) Culture, Race, Government, and Language can and will be different and though some Races like Elves and Dwarves are present, please do not think that they are the same as every other.
