I know you assume that I'm going to apologize now. But look at it this way: it's not my fault. It really isn't! Yeah, sort of, but not really. I would even say that I contributed more to the solution than to the problem itself. Nevertheless, I know that each of you would kill me without hesitation if you had the chance. Understandable for the ignorant or the idiots among you. But those who have some intelligence understand: You wouldn't be here without me. The fact that it was cruel and that everyone suffered a little terrible trauma was the least of your worries. Welcome to the new perfect world. You're welcome. Well, since I know that some of you have no idea what even happened, I'll tell you. From a certainly impartial, unbiased, and heroic perspective: Mine
I could start with my lonely childhood and still lonely youth, but I think that it would only be inefficiently used up space. It was the following day that changed my life forever: My story begins in a simple room, no posters of Space Invader or Pacman. A simple keyboard; a simple mouse; two screens. Plus a huge pile of garbage that buried the trash can. Lying with my head on the table, I now wait until the long-awaited beeping sounds. After 5 minutes I realized that I had switched off the sound and the computer had already compiled the program into a language it could understand. To prevent the end of the world I plugged out my router. After all, I have seen too many Sci-fi movies to take artificial intelligence lightly. [Now mankind should be safe] Jens Mueller So I clicked on the more practically than meaningfully named file: Test204.exe A window appeared on the screen: [Wait for input] Test 204 I type in [Learn Spanish] Jens Mueller as a parameter. [Please wait Your personal training is being prepared] Test 204 This is gonna take some time. When I tried to open my pizza app, I remembered that I unplugged my router in a fit of paranoia. And plugging it in would mean putting the whole world in danger, so I starved for the greater good. I laid my head on the table and waited.

Chronosseum
[participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge] Grey is just a 'normal' human being that loves his daily routine. Until one day, he found a mysterious article that made him keep wondering, What would I do if I could stop the time? That encounters, that thought process, lead Grey to experience a peculiar phenomenon, which is the gateway to the bizarre nation of Chronosseum. The land claimed to be located between reality and imagination, beyond thoughts and perceptions, and through space and time. People compete there, which might be the life-death situation, make their way to be the best player in the nation. However, the consequences of the game will be given in the 'mortal' world. Join Grey make his glorious way in Chronosseum, and uncover its truth! Also, he needs to answer that question too! Note: The story heavily relies on the characters' thought processes, characters' interactions with its dramas, mystery, and back-stories aspects, so expect the slice of life thingy. As for now, I can't say this is an action-packed story, but slowly, it will be for sure. Also, I'm planning not too heavily focused on the MC, as you'll see the story told from various perspectives. Tags and content warnings are checked for the sake of my creativity in the future, it might or might not be included. This is my first novel, and also, English is not my native language, I beg your mercy. But I am open to any feedback and constructive criticism, so let's make the story more enjoyable to read! Chronosseum is scheduled to release one chapter every three days (for now).

Crimson Gloom
Crimson Gloom. The time when the moon turns crimson, illuminating the landscape with its crimson glow. The time when the ‘doors’ to the Crimson Abyss open. One shall gaze into the abyss and gain its secrets and powers. Concurrently, the abyss also gazes into oneself, gaining one’s sanity and humanity. Dimensional rifts appeared spontaneously on Earth, bringing otherworldly demons along with the Crimson Gloom. Bloody battles were fought, noble sacrifices were made. Humans eventually sealed the rifts and successfully defended their homeworld. Alas, the seals were not perfect. The Crimson Abyss continued to exist, slowly influencing Earth and its inhabitants. Half a century of relatively uneventful years passed… humanity slowly descended into corruption, and the majority of them knew nothing of the effects of the Crimson Abyss. Is there only the dreadful gloom left to the world? Can one find brightness in the increasingly gloomy world? The youth who had gazed into the Crimson Abyss had no answer, nor did he care. He only wanted the Crimson Gloom to end, to forever seal the Crimson Abyss. A mistake and a twist of fate led the youth into a seemingly totally different direction. Will he forget his lifelong goal? Will he instead step back onto his initial path that he fervently pursued? Disclaimer: I do not own the image on the cover. Image edited on canva.com. This piece of work, after all, is only a first draft and by no means an end product by an amateur (beginner) writer. Mistakes are bound to happen. With that said, I will strive to improve as I write. Feel free to point out errors and inconsistencies as you read. I thank you for your time. Finally, I pledge to not rewrite this novel until the first draft is completed.
