《Pokemon: Ultimate Generations!》Mt. Moon Exploration Part-2

Confronting the Geodudes was easy for Warren and Gan. Well, it was easy for Warren because he simply had his Venomoth put them to Sleep with Sleep Powder. It flapped its wings and flew above the group of the Geodude as it released some type of Blue Spore.
They may be many, but their levels were too low and they couldn't fight the status effects. Gan delightfully caught his new Geodude and added it to his party. Gan thought highly of this Geodude's potential, so he caught it with a Premier Ball instead of a Regular Poke Ball.
Gan was all laughs, but that battle probably attracted some attention. He wasn't worried because he had Warren with him for extra assurance. This time, they kept their Pokemon out during their travel, it would be bad if they were attacked when their Pokemon were in their Poke Balls.
Gan carried all of his Pokemon in him, they didn't transfer to the Pc like they normally should. This was mainly because he needed a Pokedex and an Identification from this Process to work. Gan currently didn't have the sufficient funds to get an Identification.
Gan played with the Premier Ball by tossing it up with his hand slightly, his face beaming.
"You've caught several Geodude already, why did you catch it with such an expensive Ball? And why are you so happy about catching one extra Geodude?" Warren looked flabbergasted, he simply couldn't understand Gan's change of emotions.
"Oh, it's just that, well, that Geodude was bigger than the others, so it was a special type." Gan quickly made up something.
"Special? Was it really bigger than the rest?" Warren said.
"It was." Gan said with a serious expression while nodding.
Warren had no choice but to believe Gan, this was probably how he was able to tell that the Zubat he caught was special.
Venturing further into Mt. Moon, they didn't see anything in particular. They only saw the same Pokemon that they had caught before. Venomoth flapped its wings behind Warren as it followed them both.
'Dang, its wings are a little too loud, aren't they?' Gan wondered what was the point in sneaking when this Venomoth's wing moments were enough to wake the dead.
Gan was leading the way, so he turned; hinting at Warren that Venomoth was too loud. Warren understood and turned to Venomoth to tell it to lower the sound of its wings. This wasn't hard a task for Venomoth to do and it was accomplished.
Gan's Koffing had reached Level 23 from the last confrontation with the Geodudes, so it learned Smokescreen. After walking, they came across a man camping by himself drinking tea, he had the typical Stereotypical Donut haircut.

"Ah, hello young fellow, are you guys lost by any chance." After sipping the tea he warmed up with a campfire, he looked over at Gan and Warren. He used this fire to also keep the annoying Zubat away.
"Not really, we'll be continuing onward." Warren spoke and looked at Gan; letting him know to ignore this old man.
"Hold up! I have a sale going on, I can sell you some repels to keep the Zubat away." The old man's eyes strangely flashed with a brilliant light as he looked at the two.
"...." Gan.
"How much are you selling them for?" Warren was a bit interested.
"I'll sell you 15 Repels for ₱9,500, it's a good deal, huh? Hurry up and buy them!" The Old smiled strangely, with a look of greed.
"₱9,500?" Gan looked at the man with disgust, while Warren suddenly looked at him coldly. This guy was clearly a scammer, but he sold these items for the person's convenience sake. Repels cost ₱350 at the PokeMart, so if he bought 15 of them from there, he would only have to pay ₱5,250.
The man rubbed his hands in anticipation, he must have been confident that they would buy from him. Seeing this, Gan was sure that this man had been doing this for a long time, and he was making a killing doing it.
Suddenly, the old man was engulfed in a blue powder, then he tilted over and fell asleep. Gan rushed over to catch the man before he fell over and maybe bump his head on a rock; laying him down gently.
"Haha, I like your thinking!" Gan complimented and Warren smiled, as they stole all of his Repels and even the PokeBalls he had on sale. The Old man even had a Luxury Ball on him for sale, so how could Gan not steal this? Gan also stole 20 Pokeballs from the man, but he still left the old-timer with his Pokemon.
After robbing the man, they quickly vacated the scene. Even if the fire went out, no Zubat would attack him because he had some type of repellant incense around him. Gan felt a little bad, but when he thought about how the man tried to scam them, it went down the drain.
Gan was overjoyed, he robbed ₱18,000 from the man. Both he and Warren split the cash evenly as they advanced through Mt. Moon. The lighting was poor and the man looked like he was having a hard time seeing them, so Gan didn't believe that he would be recognized.

There were no Police in this area, so robberies happened a lot in Mt. Moon but the thieves were always Team Rocket members.
Gan originally had only 18 Poke Balls, but now he had +20 now. Warren didn't care about the Poke Balls and let Gan have them all.
Warren looked at Gan strangely, he wondered where he put all of those items he had stolen. Did he perhaps have a storage Backpack?
"What?" Gan could see that Warren was eyeballing him.
"Ah, nothing, let's keep going." Warren didn't bother to ask and they continued forward. Gan knew what he would ask, and he honestly wouldn't know how to reply to that question.
They once again came across another ladder going downward. They didn't hesitate and they both went to check it out. The lighting was the same as the previous floor, but the space on this floor was huge.
Gan and Warren could see some craters in the ground, some small while some wide and big. There was legend saying that Clefairy came from the Moon and so did Moon Stones, and that they crash-landed here long ago.
They kept walking but they stopped when they saw 2 people ahead. They were wearing Green and dressed like a bunch of Boy and Girl scouts according to Gan's opinion. However, they were clearly campers who had come here to explore.
"I found it, I found one!" The boy jumped in delight and revealed what he had found to the girl with him.
The girl came over with a glimmer in her eyes, as she looked at the item. Gan could see the item perfectly because it shined a little through some of the darkness. It was Purple, Yellow, dark green and it was a stone, to be exact, a Moon Stone!
"Once your Nidoran (M) evolves into a Nidorino, you can evolve it into a NidoKing!" She was elated to see that her boyfriend had found a Moon Stone. These stones were not sold in stores, so you could only find them if you were fortunate enough.
Just as they were rejoicing, a Smokescreen covered the area and blindsided them.
"W-what's going on? The girl held her Boyfriend's hand, so they didn't get separated.
"Don't mind us, we'll just be taking that Moon Stone, hehe!" At the sound of Gan's voice, they were stunned but hearing his words; their expression turned grave. Too bad, at that instant; a blue powder swept over into the smokescreen.
"N-nooo!" The boy could feel that he was getting drowsy, but they both couldn't resist. It was clear that he wouldn't have his Moon Stone when he woke up.
Gan and Warren waited until the Smokescreen cleared to walk over. He took the Moon Stone out of the Boy's hand and held it up.
"I'm gonna need more Moon Stones if I want to complete my Pokedex, I also want a NidoKing anyway." Gan shamelessly put the Moon Stone away without looking at Warren.
Warren's mouth twitched, but he didn't say anything. Gan dug through their belongings and found a note inside the girl's bag and 2 unused Poke Balls that he took.
Looking at the Note, he read it.
Note 1.
When the Moonbeams white, they emerge and dance in Delight, under the ritual of the Moonlight.
.....
Gan only saw one sentence and nothing more. Afterward, he showed Warren who seemed to understand it right away. Gan also understood it, it seemed to be talking about Clefairy. After taking the Moon Stone and their Poke Balls, he sprayed them with a Repel before leaving.
"Don't tell me I have to wait until night to actually catch a Clefairy?" Gan frowned, would he have to pull an all-nighter?
"Then I won't tell you." Warren looked over at Gan with a smile.
"........"
Continuing onward, they saw a huge space with several craters in it. They weren't deep, so you could walk over them with no problem. The roof of this place was open and the sunlight was beaming in from the top.
Gan and Warren looked ahead and saw a small pathway, similar to a maze but Gan was certain that it wasn't a maze. However, at that moment, they saw a Pokemon leaving the Pathway. It was plump with big eyes and it had a pouch holding an egg on its body.
It was a Chansey!
Gan forgot that this type of Pokemon was in this Cave.
|Name: Chansey
|Type: Normal
|Level: 11
|Gender: Female
|Ability: Natural Cure
|Potential: ★★★
|Nature: Modest
|Moves: Defense Curl| Refresh| Pound| Tail Whip| Double-Edge|
"Refresh? This will do me some good when my Pokemon suffer from status effects." Gan already had plans for when he caught a Chansey, he wanted to use it during his Johto adventure instead.
Unfortunately, it was a Special Attacking nature and not a Special Defensive one.
"Hey, I may need help catching this thing, its Defensives are pretty good." Gan turned to Warren and asked.
"Uh, sure." Warren shrugged and looked towards his Venomoth.
"Good! Let's go Koffing!"

This is the first time I’ve published anything, and basically the first time I’ve written anything more than mandatory school-stuff. The story will probably have inconsistencies, grammatical errors (not my native tongue, though that excuse is getting old), and potentially confusing (missing?) plot. I will naturally do my best to write something worth reading, but my main goal in writing this story is to have fun and explore the limits of my own creativity. My hope in publishing it here, is that I’ll reach someone who enjoy the story, and can push me forward towards writing more, as it is difficult at times to find the motivation to write just for myself. Additionally, I can’t really promise to have regular updates, as I have a full-time job that often likes to take the ‘full-time’ part literally, and a sporadic social life that occasionally surprises me (happy surprises mostly, so I shouldn’t complain). I’ll aim for once a week to start with, and take it from there. Happy reading! Cover photo by Jeff Hire (/photographer/gun4hire-58415), from https://freeimages.com/.
