《Broken Emperor》Chapter 43

Jackal was running all the way to the other side of the palace.
Finding a couple knights rushing towards the party.
He grinned, and brought out his demonic energy in a flash without them ever knowing what happened.
Rin who was looking for him clenched his teeth madly as he was a step too late.
Jackal was in front of him, standing on a magic circle drawn by blood.
He didn't mind him and kept chanting in demon tongue.
Rin called upon his white wolf and held his sword, rushing towards Jackal.
Only to be stopped by a barrier.
He raged madly and held all of his aura in his sword.
But before he could slash Jackal a dark space appeared on top of Jackal.
It was already done.
A huge black hole appeared behind Jackal.
Two figures appeared. Without their wings and horns they looked no far from humans.
A third figure walked throught the portal between them.
A huge fat demon, with horns as big as an arm and wings that looked too heavy.
An oppressing pressure roared bringing Rin and his wolf to their knees.
They both spit blood, it was heavy.
Jackal started laughing as he bowed his head to the figure in the middle.
"My lord. I hope this is satisfactory. Oh, Demon god of Gluttony," he said as he bowed down.
"It was a good idea to not eat you," spoke the demon god with laughter.
Suddenly behind Rin appeared three figures. Shiro, Ryujin and Nu.
Shiro had murderous eyes.
"We meet again! It feels just like yesterday!" Spoke the demon god cheerfully.
"it's a shame it is not your real body here, Beelzebub," said Shiro coldly.
"I didn't think you would be here. But," he licked his lips, "If I knew you all became this weak I wouldn't have prepared this carefully and came myself." His demonic energy roared pushing back everyone.
Shiro held Rin by the collar and threw him on the side. His energy roared, matching demonic aura and pushing the two by his side.
Ryujin looked at this in surprise. The demon god of gluttony, after so many years, grew into an existence far more powerful than before. And for an even more surprise, Shiro was equally as strong.

But Shiro had other thoughts running throught his mind as he gritted his teeth. He was really mad. Equally strong? That wasn't his true body.
He was mad. He could feel the energy of demon god of greed being here as well, and he couldn't do anything.
He was mad. These two are not only the weakest but also even bullied by the other demon god.
He was mad. To think that they grew so weak, that even these two lesser gods would plan such a thing and even understimate them.
He was mad.
---
Their energies colliding reached the party.
The demon god of greed, slowly descended from the black portal.
Those who couldn't help already left, leaving only those who would fight with their lifes.
But nontheless, his pressure brought everyone to their knees.
His horns were like yellow gems. His body was filled with accessories that shinned brightly under the lights, even his wings had necklaces. Big dimands that looked too heavy for his fingers.
From the looks of it he was pissed. "That bastard followed me all the way here with his kings!"
Arne was bowing, confused about what his god spoke about.
He suddenly felt his murderous intent focused on him. "Was it you?"
Arne kneeled in fear, sweating, he couldn't speak a word.
"You wouldn't dare." He turned to look at the crowd in front of him. "Quite the gathering of ants you have for me here."
Arne raised his head smiling happily, "Thank you, Lord Mammon."
He looked at the human kings who were kneeling upfront.
"Sending demon kings for you would make my brothers notice. That is why, to claim this territory as my own before they can, I am here myself." He said with a smile, his body moving like he was drunk. "I am sure if they were aware of how weak humans became they would already be here. Well i guess those old shits have lost their touch. Ah," he sighed, "If I knew even your gods whom I was being conscious off would be this weak I would have came here myself." He started chuckling, "But, seems like my twin did the same mista-"
He looked surprised for a second. "Oh," he spoke as his lips slowly curled up to a creepy smile, "what do we have here."

Arne turned to look too.
Amina with her sword planted to the ground, stood up struggling to the demon god's pressure.
And slowly behind her stood the others little by little.
He looked at her beauty in marvel and astonishement, he grinned.
But for her she was fursious, gritting her teeth as she looked at Mammon with a cold stare.
He grew pissed at her gaze. "Damn ant!"
His aura roared.
Everyone fell to the ground.
The first one to stand up again was Amina, followed by the others. Some had to scream to muster up their strengh, but they all stood up.
A vein appeared in Mammon's forehead.
"I came here to claim his land, but now i see a gem in the middle of a mud."
His aura roared as he walked closer to her. "You, I won't kill you. But that gaze, that gaze of yours, you better learn how to lower it down if you want to be part of my collection, alive."
He stood a few meters in front of her.
Other than the kings and queens beside Amina everyone was on the ground unable to stand up as his aura was near.
Even if blood flood down their mouths, taking every once of their strenght, they kept standing.
Diana followed suit, everyone behind her was surprised.
She growled, forcing her body to stand, and she did.
Mammon also stared at Diana coldly.
"These..." he murmered as his expression darkened.
He looked back at Amina. "Since you seem to lead these sheeps," he spoke as he walked closer to her.
The pressure on everyone weighed on them even worse.
Diana, along with the kings and queens were brought to their knees.
Amina, was still standing. Her body shaked uncomfortably, cuts slowly appeared around her skin as if the wind was piercing her.
Her teeths were clenched as she still maintained her cold eyes, who turned murderous.
He grinned as he stood in front of her.
She couldn't move an inch.
They stared at each other.
Suddenly, weird sounds resounded in the quiet hall.
Everyone's eyes widened.
"N, NO! NO! AMINA! AMINAAA!" screamed King Julien with tears in his eyes.
She still stood there, staring at Mammon coldly as she spit blood from her mouth.
And right below, was his sword's tip, piercing and appearing behind her back.
The sounds of the blood drops on the ground were louder than any scream the people did.
Mammon was smiling evily as her lips turned bloody.
The aura sword she had disappeared as her hand softened.
She raised her trumbeling left hand, feeling the sword that pierced her.
Her cold gaze didn't weaken.
Mammon seemed even more pissed, he thursted his sword deeper.
Slowly enough for her body to make weird sounds, making her spit more blood.
Her left hand seemed to lose strenght, holding his wrist.
"Soft hands," he said as he put his creepy smile on his face once again.
He turned to the others, who were screaming in the background.
Diana was just staring at him coldly, surprisingly calm.
Mammon noticed, making his eyebrows twitch in confusion.
"You too then," He said as he was pulling the sword out to walk to her.
And that's where he felt something was wrong.
He slowly turned his eyes to look at Amina, then to his hand that held his sword.
His hand couldn't move, grabbed by Amina's.
He was too confused to even utter a word. He stared at the situation blankly.
And before he knew it, Amina's fingers pressed tightly on his wrist.
He looked at her in surprise.
Her eyes changed. Her hair danced wildly in the air.
Diana could suddenly feel her black knife vibrate weakly.
She looked away for a moment, staring at the figure of Cayn sitting in the throne of the king, watching from the sidelines.
He was there since the beginning, yet only her noticed him.
For some reason she couldn't see him clearly, merely a black figure sitting like a bored ruler resting his chin on his arm. But she was certain it was him, watching quietly.
She felt the chillness running down her spine again like the first time she saw him. She looked away unconsciously.
But why would the knife only resonate now rather than when his mother was stabbed? She thought as she turned to look at Amina once again.
