《Broken Emperor》Chapter 37

Even if this training won't let them advance further in rank. But their overall strenght will multiply and they could fight above their rank.
Rin started first by bowing in respect.
They all followed suit and bowed.
Cayn just looked at them coldly and just walked away, followed by Diana.
Rin looked at his back until he left. "Really," he sighed.
Sakura was also left staring in a daze.
---
Diana held Cayn's arm as they were walking to her room.
"You seem, to enjoy training and fighting," she said with a smile
Cayn walked slower.
"Especially when you held a sword. It felt like, you were alive," she continued.
He slowed down.
"In the visions I saw, you only used a sword and spear when there was a powerful opponent. You, seem to treasure them a lo-"
Cayn suddenly pulled her to his chest by her waist.
Before Diana could react, darkness envelopped them.
Her vision obscured.
She opened her eyes.
She was surprised by the scene in front of her.
It was a huge forge.
Cayn made his way to the back.
Diana followed him, while looking around in this huge place with her widened eyes.
This workshop was bigger than the royal palace.
She was really surprised but also excited.
She suddenly hit the back of Cayn in front of her.
"Awch." She rubbed her forehead.
She found herself in an enormous room, filled with swords and spears.
The design was pretty simple, grey and white room.
But all the weapons hang on the shelves were shining.
Diana's eyes lightened up.
"If there was a paradise, of weapons," she said in between gasps as she was breathless. "I would burn it down if it doesn't look like this."
She gracefully walked, looking at each weapon carefully.

"Truly magnificient." She said with a light beautiful smile. as her fingers ran throught a designed scabbard.
She walked past the first shelf.
"Be careful with the others," he spoke with his cracked voice.
She turned to look at him. He was standing there, following behind her quietly.
"If i can't hold them," she said, put her hand behind her back as she turned. "I will hold you."
He grinned and held her hand.
She walked in front, he followed her quietly as she took her time watching.
Her eyes were truly in love with the swords.
"This is, breath-taking," she said gently.
"I agree," he affirmed.
He held her hand tightly, tingling her fingers with his as he signaled to her to follow him.$
They went to the first shelf of the other side.
He let go of her, went ahead and picked up twin swords.
Diana felt like a huge nerd when she saw them.
"This, will be my first gift to you," he said as he pulled them out their sheats.
"And this, shall be the second."
Diana didn't know what will happen but she unconsciously walked back to leave some space.
He raised the weapons in position.
Diana's eyes widened, it was hers.
He started moving.
Those are my moves, she thought. But before she could say a word she noticed they were different.
The way he moved his body, was different from hers.
Cayn was more flexible. If compared she would look like a beginner who studied the moves from a book.
Each move he made took her breath away, as if he was dancing to her heartbeat.
No, he was. Her body shivered at the thought of that even more.
He matched her pulse, her breathing, her eye speed. As if he was a machine made to match her and only her. A machine that had every data on her body and moved accordingly.

It was scary.
She stared at this scene in marvel. She could see the reflect of her shadow behind his every move.
It was like a more perfect version of her right now. With the same speed and strenght. But perfect.
Diana didn't know when, but dark strings attached to her body.
"Follow my lead," he said.
Diana moved without swords, the strings didn't do anything.
The same moved she trained ever since she was a child were played in front of her.
She followed the first move, the second. She stopped to take a breath.
It was different. She lost focus for one second thinking she knew this version well and she felt like her muscles would be ripped apart.
If it wasn't for those strings she would have fell.
"Again," he spoke.
She stood again.
"Slow, close your eyes. follow the threads."
Diana did as he said.
Followed the moves like those in her memory, gently. But she let the threads lead.
"Balance your breath. like you would do on a daily basis."
She listened. This time she didn't breath hard before attempting a move. More like, a normal day move. Not imagining the weight of her swords, not picturing the enemy she needs to cut. Just a normal day move.
The more her mind thought about normal the more she became clear headed, immersed in a comfortable feeling. She could feel and hear each of her breaths.
In and out, feeling her lungs and heartbeat.
Then slowly she started feeling the breath of her muscles. She could feel the blood balancely running around her body.
Her breaths were heavy. Time slowed down, so did her body.
She felt comfortable, too much that she almost lost herself. But the threads tightened to wake her up.
She knew she had to stay conscious. And so she did, for the next hours that followed without feeling the time pass.
She finally opened her eyes, slow and steady. Her breathing was stable and unshakable.
She found the swords Cayn held in her hands. But she didn't feel their weight, even now.
It wasn't because of the swords, but because of her.
Their weights were balanced between her entire body rather than how they normally should be. It was like they have always been a part of her.
"Work on that feeling," spoke Cayn.
She turned her eyes. And that's when she felt the change in herself.
She was conscious of every move her body made, While her mind was scarely calm. She could also feel everything in the room with her, as if they were breathing.
And that's when she felt a dark breath coming from the swords further the first shelf in the room.
She looked around, listening to the sounds of a hammer strickes.
They weighted heavy on her heart and body.
Each time it stricked, the ground would tremble, as if a giant was walking around.
But what giant, would shake this entire place like this.
Diana felt her body become hot. She noticed that with each stroke the temperature roze to an incensiderable level.
She decided to walk out the room to see. Her steps were heavy, reaching the door of the room felt like climbing a moutain.
She found him, shirtless, sweating, hammering down a hot piece of a black material.
That was the first time she saw him break a sweat.
She swallowed, wanted to scream but held her breath.

Until You Do It Right
The world ended on December thirty-first of the year two thousand and twenty, precisely at the stroke of midnight. The human race began to be systematically exterminated by the spawn of the System. We were given a chance to defeat them, to take back our place at the top of the food chain. We failed. The first to perish were those who bravely rebelled. The soldiers. The defenders. One by one, they fell. In their final moments, they begged for aid. Nobody replied. The next to succumb were those who feebly cowered. The deniers. The leeches. Together, they fell. In their final moments, they cried out into the darkness. Countless voices replied in kind. The last to decline were those who shamelessly ran. The deserters. The cowardly. Alone, they fell. In their final moments, they whimpered quietly. There was nobody left to answer. The final human to die was a survivor. A runner. As he died, he begged for salvation. His prayers were answered. He was offered a chance to save himself, along with all of humanity, and he took it. This is his story. “I sat in the dark and thought: There’s no big apocalypse. Just an endless procession of little ones.”― Neil Gaiman, Signal to Noise. I am absolutely new to writing and will take any and all constructive criticism. Please give feedback, it is greatly appreciated. I will update the tags as they change, and I hope that you enjoy this little story I'm writing! Quick warning: Seamus is intentionally a flawed character, and this story is going to explore those flaws and perhaps even change a few of them. I do not agree with all of his actions, but it is what it is.
