《Broken Emperor》Chapter 25

The king was finally announced by the knights, making the entire hall go silent.
He made his entrance, followed by the queen and his concubines.
Diana saw the difference between the king standing in front of her right now and the one in the magic memory. He aged quite well, not only did his prescence not fade but it grew sharper. She was alsoconfused for a moment as she didn't see Amina anywhere.
Perhaps she wouldn't come, she thought. But soon Amina's name was announced.
Everyone turned to see, curious about the appearance of the beautiful woman who made the king fall in love with her at first sight. For them to look at the door's direction with exclaimed expressions.
Amina slowly walked, the hall grew quiet. Her heels' clacks were the only sounds heard. And each step she took, like a clock, was beating in the hearts of all those attending.
It didn't matter, if they were women or men, they both stared in astonishement. They coudn't even compare her to the beauties who walked before her, as everyone's mind was blank, staring, without a thought or sound.
Deep black hair, a pale and dazzeling white skin, dressed in dark blue dress dyed with flowers, exposing her soft and tender neck, a round and sweet throat. She had shining liz eyes, with dark and curled lashes. Ears pierced with ornamented dark flowers as earrings.
She took the breath of everyone standing, most feelt weak to their knees.
No one knew what they felt when they saw her, as if they all felt the warm embrace of their mothers as a baby.
No one understood.
Everyone bowed, uncaring about reason, the king and his wifes included.
They all paved a way holding their heads down.
She walked towards her son, Cayn, who was the only one who didn't bow.

He put down the glass of wine in his hand, and bowed his body respectfully asking for her hand.
She reached for it. He held her delicate hand, placed it on his forehead, then brought it to his lips kissing it gently.
"Escort me to your father," she said. Her gentle yet erotic voice made everyone in the hall swallow their saliva.
Cayn nodded and straightened his back.
She slowly held his arm, with tendress that showed even in the slightest gestures.
They walked towards the King, who slowly raised his head as she stood in front of him. Staring at her with his eyes widened.
She let go of Cayn, stretching her hand out elegantly.
The king Julien hurriedly held it trying his best to be gentle, sweat was seen from his forehead.
It was obvious that even he, thought he was unworthy.
He escorted her to her seat, besides his concubines. He looked unwilling to place her there, yet he couldn't speak in her presence.
She sat down, making him go back to his throne.
Cayn stood behind her, like a bodyguard.
The King sat on his throne. Only then could everyone raise their heads.
No one understood what happened. But it was obvious to everyone here. The one sitting on the throne, the one who watched from above tonight in this ball, was Amina, not the King.
The ball was slowly filled with chatter, until it became lively once again. Everyone acted like this scene never happened, yet they remembered it deep within their hearts.
Diana got back to chatting with Ella and Yuki, later joined by Sakura and Haru, a ladies gathering.
Suddenly stood a figure behind them.
The younger prince Elric was standing, he bowed his head slightly down, that it could come off as disrepectful.

He stared at them one by one as he raised his head. Then stopped when he reached the three beauties, Diana, Ella and Sakura. Staring at them up and down without saying a word, not at all hiding the lust behind his eyes.
The first one to react was Sakura, "I may be unfamiliar with Sylvia's etiquette but I can't help feeling apologetic to the women in your country, your highness," she said coldly with a smile.
He didn't pay attention to her, he kept meeting eyes with Diana's cold stare.
"Why don't you show me around the hall?" He said grinning.
All the ladies clutched their teeths.
"No," answered Diana expressionlessly as if he wasn't worth her attention.
"Oh, I like your type, and I heard you made quite the entrance beautiful," he said approaching.
Ella and Sakura stood in between them.
"Oh my, what is this?" He smiled.
"Step, back." Spoke Ella with a furious yet low voice.
"I didn't think the women here were fiesty, and three at the same time, I should come visit this country often," he laughed, "well too bad for you ladies that's exactly my type."
The two of them had murderous gazes, while Diana still stood there coldly.
The brothers slowly took notice of Elric approaching the women especially Diana. But not one spoke a word.
Since Cassis couldn't find Cayn he decided to go himself.
As he walked towards them, he bumped with his chest into an arm, Cayn's.
"What are you doing, can't you see he is approaching your woman and sister?" Spoke Cassis in confusion.
"And?" Cayn sipped his wine.
"Are you," he was stupefied, "you shoul-"
Cayn turned his head, his bloodthursty eyes stared deep into Cassis' soul, making him tremble.
"None of them need you to worry about then," his bloodlust dissapeared, "last time I remember, you don't have the strenght to help either way," he said with a smile.
He started walking away, but then stopped.
"And hey," he turned around slowly, "last time you underestimate my woman like that." He looked at Cassis with intense bloodlust. "Oh and Ella too. Anyway, that's two now, next time I will take that personally."
Then he walked back to his mother’s side, leaving Cassis with an embarrassing expression.
Rin saw what happened, he also met eyes with Cayn briefly as he made way to his mother, nodded them stopped Ryo from acting rashly and doing the same mistake as Cassis.

Tales From the Terran Republic
We tried, you know… We really did. We tried so hard to be… better… We actually were better once. No, seriously. We were enlightened, generous, peaceful… Stop laughing! We were! We were peaceful, dammit! No, I’m not “tugging your winglets.” It’s true! Look, if you’re going to be like that, I’ll just push the launch button right now. See ya, don’t wanna be… Oh, you ARE interested after all? Ok. Hey, I just got word that your captain will be ok. We were able to get him into a med pod quick enough… Of course, we tried to save him. Just what sort of people do you think we are?... Now that was harsh… completely accurate, mind you… but harsh. Anyway, like I was saying, we were a prosperous, peaceful people, and war had been nothing but a distant memory for over five hundred years before it happened... Before Yellowstone happened! You don’t mean to tell me that you didn’t know about that… massive supervolcano? Blew the Hell out of our planet? Two years where nothing grew?… Anyway, that’s what started it, the Sol Wars… Oh, you have heard about those, huh? Well, needless to say, all that enlightened, generous, and peaceful didn’t exactly make it through the two years of complete famine and the wars that followed… Maybe it’s more accurate to say the enlightened, generous, and peaceful among us didn’t survive… (laughs)… You’re right. It does explain a lot, doesn’t it? Probably for the best, though. “Enlightened” and “peaceful” aren’t really all that useful out here in the galaxy at large, are they? That reminds me; thanks for the ship. You guys did a great job with this one. Oh, don’t be like that. At least it was us what got you and not one of the really messed groups like the Harlequin or the Black Angels. We’re just going to take your shit. It could be worse… trust me... Well, anyway, we loaded the life pods down with some good food, and you guys can drink alcohol, right? We put in a couple of fifths in there, too. It’s about forty percent ethanol, so be warned. Most species will want to dilute that. We’ll drop your wounded off somewhere safe once they are stable. Your fleet patrols this area fairly regularly, and we’ll drop the distress beacon right before we jump… Well, It’s been fun and no hard feelings, right?… Oh, you want to know some more? Sure. I got time to kill… Let me tell you about this one pirate and her crew. They’re Terran scum, but they are still… Why do we hate the Terrans? Hoo Boy… How much time you got? *** It’s the thirty-second century, and humanity is now part of a galactic civilization comprised of hundreds of worlds. Humanity has been savaged by natural disaster and war and has been fractured into several separate populations, all of which loathe each other (some things never change). This is a gritty drama-driven rambling tale that swings between action, drama, horror, and plenty of very, very dark comedy. Warning: contains adult situations, absolutely horrible language, bathroom humor, implied ultra-violence, actual ultra-violence, drugs, alcohol, pirates, mercs, xeno prostitutes, moral ambiguity, deranged AI's with identity issues, giant commie space slugs, and a poor little frog girl who just wants to sell coffee. Updates twice weekly on Tuesday and Friday. *** Note: This story can get rough. Those warning tags? They aren't for show. I recently received a review and as a result I want to make one thing clear. Portraying something is NOT endorsing it! Many "heavy" topics are touched upon and just because a character says or does something does not imply that the author feels the same way. I selected the "Anti-Hero Lead" and "Villainous Lead" tags for a reason. Rule number one of this story is "no good guys". A good description of the story is, "bad people doing bad things to worse people". There are a few good characters, here and there, but they are the exception to the rule. If you want a hard-hitting, exciting, gritty sci-fi story that doesn't pull any punches, or shies away from "difficult" concepts, welcome! If you are set on a pure and noble knight that runs around and slays conveniently evil monsters and rescues totally innocent princesses... or your sensibilities are easily offended... You're not going to be happy with this one.

Am I The Only One Who Is Not Forced to Migrate Across Worlds....?
A random isekai adventure might not be random. Underlying conspiracies, not-so-kind world and most importantly two-faced characters. Only time can reveal the flaws of the so-called Migrators! *** I am rewriting the novel. All this time, I have honing my skills as a writer. As my first novel, this novel served as a self-reflection of how much I improved later on. This doesn't have the most unique of plots but as a first novel, I still have some aspirations and memories.
