《Monarch of the Darkness》C10. Mysterious voice

The mad sound from Hayden's shout echoed in the forest. Nevarth and the guards who were doing their daily routine were suddenly alarmed and without wasting time, they went straight to the source of the shout. As they arrived, they were startled when they saw Hayden's desperate expression. They guessed that their master had failed to achieve breakthrough again.
Nevarth calmly went straight to Hayden's place, wanting to encourage him. "Please calm down, young master. There will be a way for you to progress as long as you are not giving up."
"I've tried numerous times, but it always fails. The fourth point of the star won't lighten." Sighed Hayden desperately. His mind was in a mess because he felt that he was already on the limit of the 3-star Origin, and was on the verge of a breakthrough. Hayden had tried the entire night of meditation, hoping that he could advance to another layer. However, it always failed, as if something was keeping him from progressing forward.
Maybe I'm different from them because I came from another world?
Hayden was lost in thought. He was trying to calculate various possibilities that keeping him from progressing further. As Hayden was thinking, suddenly he got a painful headache.
"Arghhhh, my head!!!"
Hayden felt like his head was being crushed into a mush, not long after a mysterious voice reverberated in his mind.
Ender of things, the heir of the darkness
The chains of creation release no end
Light gather, undulating, reeking
Displaying the horror of its pharisaism
Endless emptiness
We long for the beauty of life
Scenery of the cycle of memoir
The time of judgment has arrived
Come...

"Young master," called Nevarth worriedly.
Hayden opened his eyes and looked around his surrounding. He was startled, not long after he realized that a moment ago he had just fallen unconscious. However, he didn't care less about that because currently he was wondering about the strange voice that he had heard before.

Ancient was an exact word to describe the voice. It was quite clear, but the words contained are too complicated. Hayden felt that he couldn't grasp the meaning behind it. One thing that he understood for sure is that this mysterious voice was telling him to go somewhere...
A place? Or a person? Hayden thought while scratching his head. After some time, he realized that thinking was useless. Hence he quickly get rid of this unnecessary thought and slowly stood up.
"I'm fine right now, uncle Nevarth. I trained too much recently, and maybe because of this I collapsed afterward," explained Hayden slowly. He had no other choice but to tell Nevarth a white lie so that he would not be too worried.
After hearing Hayden's explanation, Nevarth felt reassured and started to calm down. "I'm glad that you are alright," Nevarth sighed solemnly.
"By the way, uncle, let's visit the city now," persuaded Hayden. He was impatient to see the current civilization in this world.
Nevarth nodded towards him and quickly stood in front, wanting to lead the way. Izaia and Lexion also wanted to follow, but Hayden shook his head. He wanted both of them to focus on recuperating.
"All right, I'm off." Hayden waved his hands as he walked away with Nevarth, slowly disappearing from both of the guards' sight.

The city of Zenith was located in the middle of the kingdom. The size of the city was quite big, and it was regarded as the heart of the kingdom, where many kinds of activity took place. Many people come in and out from the main gate and guards scattered all over the areas. The city was bustling with various kinds of daily activities.
Nevarth and Hayden arrived in front of the main gate. Hayden was astounded by the beautiful look of the city. He thought that this city was breathtaking because it has a fantasy-like atmosphere, especially the crystal palace that was located in the middle of the city.

The crystal palace was grand and majestic. It was catching many of the traveler's attention that just arrived from outside.
Hayden walked hastily towards the city. The guard noticed that the second prince was coming. Therefore they bowed and let him in without further check.
"What a splendid city," exclaimed Hayden in amazement.
Nevarth smiled after hearing Hayden's compliment. He also liked this city a lot.
"Young master, I suggest that we go to the shopping district. We can find many interesting things there," suggested Nevarth politely.
Hayden nodded without hesitation and told him to lead the way.
Shortly after they arrived, Hayden was surprised by the crowd. He also heard many merchants shout all over the place, trying to sell and advertise their products. Hayden started to stroll around excitedly while Nevarth followed him quietly from behind.
As Hayden was strolling around, he noticed a beautiful butterfly-looking brooch with a green jade in the middle. He stopped moving and went straight to the small booth, where a middle-aged woman sold different kinds of accessories.
"Madam, I'm interested in this brooch. How much is it?" Asked Hayden eagerly. He was excited because he thought that this brooch would look good for little Fay. He wanted to give Fay a small gift because she has been taking good care of him.
"Young man, you got good eyes, this brooch cost 1000 crystal. Honestly, other than it's beautiful appearance, I don't know the other effect of it. I know that it was quite expensive, but I won't sell it lower than this because I find this inside a ruin before," said the middle-aged woman casually.
"I don't care, I'll take it," said Hayden enthusiastically.
Nevarth wanted to tell Hayden that the price was too high for an unknown accessory. However, when he saw Hayden's excited expression, Nevarth stopped because he knew that he could not change Hayden's mind.
As Hayden wanted to give the middle-aged woman crystals, suddenly someone touched and stopped Hayden's hand.
"This brooch, I will take it!" Said the person from behind.

Binary of Life and Death
Monsters, gold, chaos, glory, adventure, what more could attract two of the greatest players of all time to Sugarea, the most popular MMORPG of its time. But everyone makes errors, and unfortunate for these two brilliant players, they have made the grave mistake of not actually sleeping like normal humans and missed out on the very moment the new Dark Legion update would take effect. Or did they? They wake in what seems familiar yet not, but they soon realize their predicament. They are inside their game avatar's bodies! A half-Demon and a Dragonoid are now struggling with more than just power, these two men have to find their new purpose and calling in a completely different world. Will they concur it like ordinary land or will they enlighten the planet into equality? Do figures pull strings in the dark or is everything open to the public eye? Nothing is certain except the unknown, and nothing is ever as it seems... This is an Isekai story, as such, some parts may sound either cliché or similar to others, but I assure you, I tried to prevent that. To make it known, I took quite a lot of inspiration from the light novel/anime Overlord, but that doesn't mean it's a direct rip-off of it. You'll find there to be quite the amount of differences. Just a little heads up as well, you should expect irregular uploads, as it takes me a long time to write each chapter. I am currently trying for once every other week on Sundays around 10:00 A.M. Chapters are usually 7k words and up, with the longest (chapter 3) being 10.3k words. So, if you like to sit down and read a long chapter every two weeks at 10:00 A.M. EST on Sundays, then you can waste your time here! Small disclaimer: Profanity is far and few between, and mostly used by side characters, rarely the main character. When something with gore happens, I describe to the best of my ability, which will only get better the longer I write this... :) Small cuts between perspectives happen, and can hide what some characters do, which will be revealed in future chapters, I'm not that lazy... all the time... There are some parts that are long blocks of text, most, if not all, of them, are characters talking, but I try not to info dump. I know one of the tags says "Psychological", and for the most part, it is, but it's not as prominent as other stories, instead, it's more hidden and scattered, but I did try to make the pieces I did reveal all fit together. Cover art is bound to be changed when I have a good picture to use, so the Yin-Yang is a placeholder for now unless yall wanna gimme something to use *wink wink nudge nudge*. So yeah, please give it a try, as I have nothing better to do with my life, and I am banking solely off of a career in literature and am hoping that I can create a story that can actually be called something more than a child's imagination running wild. The eventual and inevitable end to the story won't be for a long while, at least till chapter 40 or so. I have thought long and hard about the message and themes at play, so I hope you, the reader (who has some amazing hair btw), can enjoy and partake on this adventure with me into my dark empty pit of an imagination.
