Continuing to the third corner we travel much faster this time with us having given up the pretense of precaution, Drake started chatting to me while we walked. “So Gloom I thought you had magic, what happened to that?” “Uh It is not particularly useful at the current level.” “Sure that makes sense, but how come you aren't just spamming it to level quickly?” “Uhh” Having not really even thought about it I start using it again and I start to slowly emanate fog. “Finally some good ambiance for our dungeon dive.” Joked Auspious after a moment of the fog spreading. After this we continued in comfortable silence until we made it to the next corner. This was another tree but rather than fruit there were three giant bee hives. “So any of you ever seen Bee snakes?” Drake asked looking at the hives. “I guess two snakes in a row was just weird luck.” May spoke. “Most likely, well May I did the last two, your turn.” Drake spoke while nodding at the hives. *Sigh* “Lets get this over with.” After saying this May walked up shield and sword equipped and tapped a hive with the flat end of her sword, At which point Buzzing could be heard. After a moment of waiting for something to come out of the hives I Hear Drake. “Shit they weren't in the hive.” He said while spinning and tensing. As I turn I see veritable tide of bees intent on our position. Vaguely remember that bee keepers use smoke to subdue bees I push my fog into overdrive reasoning that since they are bigger than regular bees they should be quite sensitive to the effects of air contaminants. While preparing for them to arrive I notice a light beginning to envelope me. Looking around I see similar effects on Legos and Drake, Ah Auspious' shield. After This realization I pull out my daggers and prepare for the oncoming horde. Almost the moment they enter my fog they visibly slow. I guess this wont be as hard as we feared, oh well not like anything has been that hard yet. Once the first bee enters strike range a swipe of the dagger bisects it before I began swinging in earnest. Hear soft thuds as dozens of bees get dropped among me and the party it only take a moment for the battle to be over, before I get a chance to celebrate I get hit with a massive headache before fog creation cuts off. Ow “Well I think that went well.” Said may as she walks back up to us. “Its like I am required to be in the middle of every fight or something.” Drake mumbles to himself. Ignoring him and the party I bend over and analyze one of the bees Battle Bees (common) A large species of slightly magical bee the sting of which is known to cause illusions in the victims. “It doesn't mention anything that would imply value so unless one of you all wants to loot the bee corpses I think we should just take the hives from this one.” Everyone else looked around at the piles of close to a hundred bees and all seem to come to the same conclusion of ignoring them. I walk over and identify the hives before drake pops by and stores all three Battle Bee hive (uncommon) The carnivorous battle bees use the vitality of their prey to create honey with healing properties a very valuable component for healing potions. As I finish talking Drake exclaims “Holy wow these are probably the most valuable thing so far.” “I have to agree.” I agree. After we collect ourselves we begin heading towards the last corner.
