Elder Lich: It’s easy, kill some of my puppet. Now let’s begin.
The Elder Lich snapped his finger. And suddenly, the puppet lying on the floor stood up and moved.

You learned skill: [Appraisal] Level 1
Appraisal? Let see what skill is this.
[Appraisal]
Level 1 – You can obtain information of any things by looking.
Anything? Then it is possible to that puppet? (Look at the puppet) Appraisal!
Dark Zeldrun Puppet
Level: 6 Type: Puppet
Health: 500 Damage: 25
What is this!? Why should I will fight on level 6 monsters if it is just a tutorial. Is this the reason why it is hard to step into the Continent of Calamity? Its health and damage is not even at level 6 status. With my current status (Health: 32 Damage: 12) I’ll die with two attacks. Unless, (Smile like a devil) that monster is too slow, I can slaughter it into pieces.
Clint: First! I’ll check my current skills.
[Assassin of the Wind] Passive
Level 1 – With your high speed mobility and luck, you will gain agility, dexterity and luck.
Agility: 5% Dexterity: 3% Luck: 2%
[Sudden Strike] Active
Level 1 – Make a second attack in a quick phase. Deals 90% physical damage. 3% critical chance.
Energy Cost: 5 Cooldown: 10 seconds
[Light Dash] Active
Level 1 – Dash quickly at short distance. Gain additional 5% critical chance in a single attack after activating this skill.
Mana Cost: 10 Cooldown: 30 seconds
Clint: Let’s begin!
Clint ran into the puppets. While running, the puppet had already prepared his long sword and went towards to attack Clint.
“Tap...tap...tap...”
Clint: I expected this, even you have a long sword as long as you are slow, then that thing will never reach me.
“Swing...swing”
He easily dodged a swing of puppet’s sword and use a counterattack plus his skill.
“Slash! Slash!”
It took 2 hits with single swing. Silent wind technique is very effective after all. Now I’ll use the searing dance technique to easily dodge all the attacks and counter it with my twin black dragon. (Searing dance stance) With this I can blow my sword at full power.
“Swing...swing” A sound of swing by the puppet.
He successfully dodge the destructive damage of puppet’s attack and counter it again.
“Slash...slash...slash”
Wow, a triple slash in a single swing! Then sudden strike!
“Trust! Blast! Crit!”
The damage that Clint dealt to the puppet was doubled by sudden increase of his critical chance.
According to Luke, a powerful blow can increase player’s critical chance. So it is my advantage since my twin black dragon stances required a powerful swing of single sword.
The two still keep on fighting but Clint is too quick when it came at dodging and attacking.
“Slash...slash...slash...slash...slash...slash...slash”

You slain a Dark Zeldrun Puppet Level 6.
You will receive 1 intelligence, 1 exp and 1 cooper.
Clint: WHAT! That monster looks like a level 1 dungeon boss but it only gives me a very low reward? What the heck is this place? Even a hardcore monsters consist of garbage rewards?
I have never known why the opponents were so hard to fight against it and give me low reward. But I have a strong impression that there was a great opportunity for me to grow. This basement is an ancient dungeon so there might be an artifacts or something rare hides here. Fighting against a level 6 monster consume a large amount of energy and mana.

Elder Lich: Young man, if you kill a puppet, another puppet will arise. Watch your surroundings.
“Klang!” A sound of two swords collided.
A puppets arose and immediately rush to Clint. Because Clint was alert, he blocked it and with his force, the puppet flew and collapse through the wall.

You’ve trained your body so hard that even the stronger monster you fought flew away.
You will receive 5 strength.
5 strength ah, looks like I gained permanent 15 damage. With a total of 27 damage, I can deal double my damage dealt than my previous one. This will be a fast killing.
Inside the basement, you can only hear the sound of the sword touching the body of the puppets. Eventually, those puppets he fought fell down and died one after another every few minutes.
“Slash...slash...slash...slash...slash”

It’s finish now but another puppet is still appearing. Now I’ll check my hunger rate so I can buy some food.
(Screen Notification)
Hunger Rate: 98%
Clint: Old man, I’ve been playing in your basement for about 1 hour and still I can’t feel myself hungry. Do you know anything about it?
Elder Lich: This basement is an ancient dungeon. This dungeon has a spell where you will not get sick or hungry. You will only die here by getting injured by my creature.
Clint: It make sense. As long as I’m inside this dungeon, I don’t have any problem from food and medical expenses.
Luke never told me this since he has not yet set his foot on this continent. Looks like this ancient dungeon had environmental spell that prevent any living things from getting sick or hungry.
Elder Lich: You have proven yourself and deserve to teach you so I will give you this very important quest so you can learn how to grow as me from the dark.

Tutorial Quest 02
Go outside the tutorial hall.
Kill 25 White Gargoyle (0 / 25).
Kill 25 Demon Dog (0 / 25).
Get 1 Demon Gem (0 / 1).
Time Limit: None
Reward: [Colossal Darkness] Level 1, 5 intelligence and 3 stamina.
Penalty: Quest fail / Death
Elder Lich: Now go and fulfill your destiny.
Clint: Old man, you are the Elder Lich so I know that you are powerful. A Lich can rule many undead using the skills of necromancer. Those two creatures, the gargoyle and dog, do you have detailed status of those?
Elder Lich: I have young one, you are free to look at it as long as you will fulfill my wish to you.
A two transparent screen box appear in front of Clint.
White Gargoyle
Level: 45 Type: Demon / Winged Beast
Health: 5300 Damage: 225
Demon Dog
Level: 45 Type: Demon / Beast
Health: 4150 Damage: 445
What the heck is this old man!? How can I fight these monsters!? I wonder why player easily get killed outside. Even I, can’t fight those things since I’ll die in an instant. I need to think about how I can solve this problem. Oh! I have already thought if it is possible. I’ll ask the old man.
Clint: Hey, old man. Will the puppet standing there keep respawning forever?
Elder Lich: That’s not limited but I don’t know when that will stop. If there is something that you want?
Clint: Nothing, I’ll complete this wish when the time is come.
Elder Lich: I’ll get it young one. I will go up to the first floor. Finish what you want to finish here.
Elder Lich went upstairs and left Clint alone with the puppet standing in front of him.
When I kill a puppet, I add a random stat to my status. I need to increase my stats until the puppets run out. Even if I only receive 1 experience, I will do my best to finish my work because 1 stat costs a lot. Afterwards, I will explore this dungeon to grab some stuff by a chance.
Clint: Now! Let’s go since I feel myself winning.
For hours and days Clint kept killing puppets. He had no food and rest because his hunger and fatigue were not affected inside the dungeon with a strong spell. Every few minutes he killed a puppet. His status, experience, and cooper increase by one point every few minutes. He likes it more because he is getting used to the techniques he has learned.

World Notification
Congratulations to Clint21 who completed the impossible hidden quest. He is the first player who completed such quest in the world. (Can be seen by all players in the world)
You will receive x1 and 5000 gold. (Seen only by you)
This is cool! Wow! Luke never told me that if you achieved something that is impossible, your name will be written on the game history. And according to him, there are different types of quest, quest, job quest, hidden quest. The most common thing is a quest and completed by many players in a single day. There are some quest that you can complete even those quest are not notify to your status called hidden quest. You will make the way for you to achieve that quest.
If I look at the quest I achieved, even if it is not hidden it will definitely not be achieved by a player. It is impossible to kill 50 monsters because according to Luke, you can kill eight bandits to level up. He taught me how to raise the level in the most effective and fastest way. This simply means that what is impossible for the majority becomes possible if you are within the Calamity because the system provides less reward when it comes to coin and experience.
I did not make a mistake to choose a corresponding place I will just continue this as long as I can since I’ll respawn to another continent if I die. Thanks to the system and my name is already known via world notification. But it does not end here. I can still get a lot of opportunities and get to know my name all over the world. I will strengthen myself first and become a video blogger once I come out on this continent. Let’s see how this title works.
[First Level Multi-Kill] – All skill levels increase by 3.
All my skills improved by two folds. I can easily make a critical hit to my enemy because of my two active skill. (Sudden Strike: 141% damage and 12% critical chance / Light Dash: 18% critical chance) I also had enough energy (98) and mana (48) so I can often use skills. And finally, the cube.
A cube contains of random set of mythical items.
Required level to open: 20
Sweet! This is the item that I want. Although I can’t open it because of my low level, I’m so lucky that I got a high quality item. According to Luke, the mythical item is the highest quality in the game. I have 2 mythical cubes in my inventory. Coming at Calamity is so worth it.
Common => Uncommon => Rare => Epic => Unique => Legendary => Mythic
Let's pursue the plan. At my damage (75) I’m sure that I can kill them faster than the previous one and it might not reached in one day.
As he walked towards the middle of the battlefield he noticed that two puppets came out.
I could kill them more quickly since there were two who were coming out of every wave that I killed. One puppet that appeared every minute in the past takes my time. It would be faster to kill them simultaneously but more dangerous that I can receive more attacks from my enemy. Thus a low chance to dodging their attacks. The more enemies, the faster I farm with more chance of risk. Let’s start.
He quickly dash towards the puppets and kill it for every few minutes. As the sound of collision of two swords spread in the area, the rattle sound can also be heard as the puppet he killed, fell off on the ground.
“Slash...klang...tug...crit...slash...klang...tug...crit...slash”
“Dash! Slash! Crit...tug...triple slash...tug...double slash!”

So far I killed 100 puppets and my level and the level of my three assassin skills are also increasing by one point. Luke told me I should put my points in the correct stats because the system only gives me 3 stat points per level which so hard to fill up these 8 stats. For now, I’ll put every 1 point of my stats from agility, dexterity and luck. Meanwhile, on one hundred of my killings, I also got an item. Let’s see what this is.
Rarity: Rare Weight: Low
Durability: 20 / 25
Equipped: +24 Damage +8% Curse Magic
Effect: Apply curse magic to your attack.
Equip
With my 15% curse magic, I can deal more damage to my enemy through my sword’s effect. (Look in front) Hmm? What is this?
He saw that three monsters had come out and looked different from his previous opponent. Their skins were rotten and they were wearing old armor.
Shit! What is this? Are they zombie? I’ll better check it out. Appraisal.
Dark Zeldrun Knight
Level: 12 Type: Undead
Health: 1050 Damage: 48
Dark Zeldrun Marksman
Level: 12 Type: Undead
Health: 850 Damage: 75
3 level 12 undead monsters, 2 melee-type and 1 range-type monsters. I will have a harder time here. I had to kill their marksman first so I could focus easily on two undead knights. If the marksman shoots me, I will use the light dash skill and take the opportunity to attack him as he prepares his arrow to hang on his bow string.
While the undead marksman was not yet holding the arrow, Clint immediately ran towards him. The two undead knights blocked him but he escaped and used his speed and jumped above them after using the searing dance technique. He suddenly use his light dash for him to precede the marksman attack.

Wow! I got 2 random stats by killing one level 12 monster. However, I still receive a single point of experience and coin. I’ll kill the other two now.

(Screen Notification)
You slain a Dark Zeldrun Knight Level 12.
You will receive 1 agility, 1 strength, 1 exp and 1 cooper.
I noticed now. When I killed 50 puppets, it added 1 more unit so they were two now in one wave. When I killed 100 puppets, they not only increased, but also doubled their level. My opponents' stance also changed because they are no longer a puppets like I used to fight.
The good thing about in this battle is that as they get stronger, the random stat points I get increase but still all stay at one point. For now, they give me two random different stats. Killing these monsters in the future would be difficult because there’s a chance that they might use some strategy like formation and basic positioning that usually use in war. So far I have learned that once you kill 50 zeldrun monsters, the unit will increase and if 100, they will become stronger than the their previous stats. Let’s continue farming random stats.

I successfully killed 100 undead monsters. In total I already killed 200 zeldrun monsters. If a monster gives me two random stats, in 100 monsters I killed, I must have 200 random stats placed in different stats in my status. As the number of undead I killed has reached 100, their units and levels will definitely increase again.
There are five monsters appeared in front of Clint.
As I expected. Appraisal.
Lich Servant – Skeleton Warrior
Level: 20 Type: Undead
Health: 1800 Damage: 85
Lich Servant – Skeleton Mage
Level: 22 Type: Undead
Health: 1600 Mana: 200 Damage: 50 Magic: 125
5 Level 20 and 22 undead monsters. 4 melee-type and 1 spell caster monsters. Four is worse than three but five as much worse than four. Lich servant? To my knowledge, Lich servants are professional when it comes to fighting. If I only had a sword now, they would surely beat me. Hays! Maybe I should stop first. I also need a break even though I am not tired as a result of the dungeon spell. I also need to eat even though I'm not hungry. I already miss eating delicious foods. I have been playing for almost five days without food and sleep. I don't know if my body is still healthy in reality.
Log-out
Clint's whole body disappeared in the basement and when he opened his eyes, he was inside the VR machine, sitting and wearing a helmet.

The Mortal Acts is an epic progression fantasy with a lower focus on training aspects and a great focus on discovering new ways of using powers intelligently.
