Raume Meets Eladin

Intro: After Olyn has jumped, evading the strike of the sword, severing the ground; his opponent, the lusus, follows up its attack, slicing his arm. His scream of agony roars aloud.

Flashback, before Jaino has told Taila for Merna's units to retreat 01: Somewhere inside the sharp tall tower, Eladin and his bodyguard a lusus arrive in the area, surrounded by few soldiers. One of the soldier interrogates him. The eyes-closed old man, Eladin, replies, “I'm one of the royal squad. Yet too old to wear my armor. When will the young prince begin to evacuate?”

“He's still on the throne. For some reason, he denied the council proposal,” has replied by another soldier.

“Thank you.”

To the soldier who has given Eladin their prince's location, the soldier, who has interrogated Eladin, yells, “Idiot! One of our task is not to give answer to that kind of question.” He groans of agony. Wielded by the lusus, the spear has pierced on his chest. The scene has made every soldier around astounded, terrified, and on guard.

Behind of Eladin, Maritis appears. Shaira is right, he is on this floor. This is your end! With the knife she grips on her hand, she stabs.

She suddenly groans as her ribs have been hit by the back of the spear, wielded by the lusus. That lusus kicks her back, slamming her onto the wall. She falls to the floor with no conscious.

Sound of footsteps echo from Eladin, walking, he speaks, “That was a good entrance. But it won't be enough to bypass my greatest bodyguard. Now allow me to bestow you the long eternal slumber, little one.” His action has halted.

Most of the soldiers begin their attack. Noticing that some of the soldiers are members of the royal squad, Eladin hops to the lusus' shoulder. Each of his hand, he points below and above. He speaks, “I leave the rest to you.” With his psychic, every ceiling direct above of the sharp tall tower consecutively shatters. With his psychic, the shock wave expands pushing the soldiers and members of the royal squad outwards, destroying random walls, and sending him elevating above.

At the throne of the queen, where the young prince Raume and his assistant Sai Mea are surrounded by royal squads and castle guards, the floor of the throne has holed.

They are quick... has thought by Sai Mea, seeing at an eyes-closed old man lands nearby the holed floor.

A huge fire bursts from above. The eyes-closed old man points his palm above, shielding himself against the attack. To his side is a sudden crystallizing of huge ice ready to pierce his barrier. —to its other side is Shaira, pushing the huge drill-like ice, accompanied by the heavy whirling wind.

A sudden explosion erupts from the place. Some walls are destroyed. Heavy wind moves outwards, giving a clear sight. Everyone in the throne has witnessed the eyes-closed old man, with one hand gripping tightly Shaira's neck. He speaks, “Nice power you have there. But such strength for our kingdom isn't needed anymore.”

Raume suddenly kneels. The pain is aching inside his thorax. Yet, his power has made Eladin to remove his hand away from the assembly of particles turning to a barrier protecting Shaira from harm.

Inside the barrier Shaira's body slams leaning into the sheer wall. Her view begins to fade. She mumbles, “My prince, run... Master... Sai Mea... doesn't have an actual power to protect you...” Her body slides and falls to the floor. Her consciousness fades.

The soldiers surround Raume for his protection against Eladin. The members of the royal squad begin their attack. Every person in offensive remains unmovable in the midair. This scene trembles the soldiers guarding Raume. Their knees are shaking. Each step of the old man, the soldiers distance themselves. The old man speaks, “Raume, young prince, your death is the awakening of the strongest person of Dandia.”

With wide arms open and in front of Raume, Sai Mea bars herself yet terrified by this event. “I, I can't allow you to harm our prince who shows mercy to his people, you ungrateful criminal. Why can't you see he's doing his best to unite the people and give ease to their living? … Answer me! You, selfish being!”

“I have no reason to talk to you,” has replied by Eladin. “Disappear.” His words has stunned Sai Mea, who begins to cry. Upon the time, Raume has stood, pushing Sai Mea to the side. Receiving the attack, Raume cries in agony as his skins are ripping off from his body. Sai Mea becomes more terrified and so, the guards and the royal squads.

Trying to resist the pain from his skins bit by bit tearing off from his body, Raume gazes at Sai Mea. “Sai Mea! Run!” And his loud scream roars inside the throne.

Sai Mea cries. Tears river from her eyes. Her scream echoes aloud, “Stop it, please!”

In the evacuation area, outside the kingdom's library building, located southwest adjacent to central area of Jelfyr, the panic and worried people have witnessed the massive smokes, ascending up to the sky. Including those people, Tissa and her mother, the family who runs the tavern where Jaino and Jesifer had met, they are crying, worried about the source of their livelihood which might be lost. So as well those people who will about to lose their home.

A member of the council announces, “People, listen! We have to believe to our protectors: the castle guards, the shadow army, and our mercenary guilds. They are here with their pledge to protect the citizens of Dandia. They are fighting for the peace and unity that we have sought, wanted, and preserved. The prince wants all of your cooperation, whatever we might lose today he wants you all to endure and be understandable. We're all shared the cost for tomorrows brighter day.”

While plea is currently announced to all evacuation sites, inside the dim room, the wide table occupied by some people in the formation of light particles, the first prince, Evan Rosarok listens to a person, a formation of light particles,

“Your brother is stupid. We asked him to evacuate. He denied our request.”

“Leave him be at his attitude. He's showing permanence of bravery and to be indestructible for his people. In the approach, let's leave our fate to the hands of Jaino and my lovely sisters. How about the main exceptional general, any update of her efforts?”

“No, we have lost her, I mean, she goes off without telling her destination. But she has left a message. She'll take care the rest, for she discovers our enemies’ hideout. She has able to trace the portals and their source areas after all.

“She has also a message to you, so be careful. This is what it said, if anything bad happens to Sai Mea and prince Raume, she won't forgive you.”

“Keep me update from time to time.”

“Of course.”

“It seems I made a new enemy, other than Jaino...”

Near the southwest wall, the area is in critical condition. Smokes ascend from the burn buildings, trees, and other objects. Its land and buildings are in shattered state. In Merna's group; waiting about the next action of their opponent, a female formation of fire, Merna asks, “Anyone has knowledge about that thing?” The silence of her members gives her more worries. The female formation of fire laughs again. Ritzel rushes in offensive. Merna yells, “Don't child, you're gonna die!”

Above the sky, the massive number of fire balls is about to rain down.

Despite in long distance, Ritzel swings her sword at the enemy. The female formation of fire has its body cleaved into two. She swings her sword once again, splitting her opponent into four. With the reduce length of their distance, she revolves, gathering the force on her surroundings. She continues her attack.

Merna yells to her members and the two units, “The rest, I want you all to escape!” And so, the two units alive begin their escape.

In her mind, Taila speaks, What about my daughter?

Believe on her as I do. Not handling this area will just spread our lost further. I shall borrow her power and please think anything that can restrain or silence that thing.

Agh...

“What about you?” has spoken by a woman, clung by a legless lizard.

Merna replies, “I have to help the child on protecting us. I hope you can all understand.”

The injured person, who is kneeling in the ground, replies, “We can't leave you. You are our leader after all.” And so the rest of her members insist.

By Ritzel's series of attacks, the female formation of fire has form vanished from her sight. Taking breath after her fierce assault, the missy notices the gathering liquid in the ground. She distances herself and her eyes goes up, watching at the sky — the fireballs are about to rain down. The liquid in the ground burns back to the female formation of fire.

What should I do now? has thought by Ritzel.

Back inside the sharp tall tower of Jelfyr: And to the next floor, Jaino has landed near the holed floor. With the sword he has borrowed from a dead soldier, he swings his attack.

In a distance, surrounded by the soldiers, some royal squads, and their crippled allies, the spear-wielding lusus slams into the floor. On its back is a wide cut, cleaving to where its heart resides.

Jaino smiles maliciously. Hey, stop that, has spoken by his spirit of light. I don't like it. By those words, Jaino realizes. He replies, Thank you spirit of light. I guess I have second Amono in my side. I'm now wondering where my friend could be. The voices of the soldiers and royal squads rejoicing their survival steal Jaino's attention. Some of the soldiers give thanks at him. Others are crying. The rest of them begin to tend some of the wounded and gather the dead allies.

The wounded Maritis appears on Jaino's side. “You, you really manage to defeat a lusus.”

Not giving a reply, Jaino gazes at the holed ceilings. I see, so they are already up high.

“I'm sorry that I nearly killed you in the forest,” has said by Maritis. “I thought you were a bandit. Forgive me. You, you are Jaino right? My father's unofficial adopted son...” Seeing Jaino who nods and smiles back at her, she replies, “I'm really sorry... I hope you can forgive me.”

“Don't worry about it,” has replied by Jaino. “I was looking for my end in that forest anyway.”

“But, why? You're a strong person. What's driven you to search for your death?”

“It's complicated. But I'm not a strong as you've been believe.” He wipes the tears below her eye by his finger. “Don't cry. You are a honored assassin of the lightning clan. Anyway I gotta go...”

“Take care and don't die. You still have responsibility to do for my sister.”

“Ah—! How did you know?”

“My mom has told me right now. Do you wanted me cut off your gut?”

Caressing his head, Jaino replies, “Ah-, I have to go.”

Seeing Jaino disappears from her sight, she thinks, Mom, why did you accepted that womanizer in our family. He has Criselia already.

I need to think quickly before my premonition actualize. To the lusus named Repear, Olyn speaks, “Hey, my strongest teammate wants a duel with you, one on one.”

“Huh? But I found and elusive person in front of me. Did you coward that you can't find a way to harm me, insect?” He steps forward, has made Olyn to ready his evade.

I really need to trick him. Olyn speaks, “Or should I say that you're afraid to face my partner, whom is willing to face you. Now who's the coward here?”

“And where is this teammate that you've been saying to? Have him reveal himself I shall slaughter the both of you!”

Olyn distances himself as the rainfall of arrows showers to the lusus. With her psychic, she really has held those arrows in the sky, has thought by Olyn. To the angry lusus, whose skin has stabbed by the many arrows and whose emotion is about to rage, Olyn speaks, “There, you have my teammate's location.”

To the northeast wall, the lusus gazes at. His feet trigger as he disappears.

Olyn thinks, Niala Silviray, please be safe...

Decision is casually hard
