As he walked to the bottom of the cliff two grey robed men jumped out from behind the rocks again.

But this time they didn’t attack Ryuu, instead they checked his ID and saw he was on the list.

One of the guys said “follow me” as he leaped up the cliff face and on to the ledge.

When Ryuu jumped up after him, he opened the hidden door.

As Ryuu walked into the training grounds he saw a group of students sitting in the grass, he walked up behind them and quietly sat down next to a few others.

In front of them was master Yuri, he stood with his hands inside his sleeves, as he quietly observed the crowd.

Behind him stood four men in black robes with black masks covering their noses and mouths, behind them was a group of men in grey robes with the academy’s logo on the left sleeve.

After a few more minutes two more guys walked in and sat in the grass with the others.

Just as they sat down the grey robed man with the clip board from out front, landed in front of master Yuri on one knee as he said “That’s everyone sir.”

Then he leaped into the air turned into a flash of light and disappeared.

As he left, Yuri slowly scanned the students as he said “Morning new comers, now that you are all here we can get started.”

As he finished speaking, one of the men in a black robe said in a stern voice “Stand up” as he spoke he slowly stepped forward till he was next to master Yuri.

He then continued to speak, "In a moment we will begin Master Yuri’s entrance exam. As decided he will only be excepting ten new students, so the elimination rounds begin now.”

As Ryuu looked around the crowd of fifty or so students, he could sense the hostility in the air.

As everyone viscously eyed their neighbors, the man began to speak again, “For the first round you must challenge and defeat another student, now choose your opponent.”

As Ryuu scanned the crowd a familiar face caught his attention, it was Amori Myoni, a snotty old class mate.

Myoni was a pretentious know it all, who always had a high and mighty attitude.

He especially looked down on Ryuu, because he was “Just a nobody from the ‘C’ district.”

Ryuu can’t stand people like him, only strong because of their families wealth and resources.

Ryuu especially hated the Amori clan, it’s just full of conceited and greedy people like him. They’re the only clan with darkness bending techniques in all of Bedrock; and only because while every other clan has been sharing knowledge and techniques trying to strengthen the next generation, the Amori clan has continued to hoard all darkness techniques to themselves.

The worse part was with their strength they became one of the noble clans, giving them even more power and authority; so no one dared to anger the Amori family.

As Ryuu scanned the room, Myoni looked over and made eye contact with him.

They both narrowed their brows and starred at each other malevolently.

As a thought crossed Ryuu’s mind “If I beat Myoni using darkness bending, that should knock the Amori clan down a peg or two.” Then without thinking twice, Ryuu pointed at him and said “I challenge you.”

*Gasp*

A few surrounding students who heard him were all in brief shock, before they started to laugh.

Myoni pointed at himself as he also started to laugh as he said “I don’t know who let this nobody in here, but I’m going to remove him right now.”

Before he even finished his sentence Ryuu had already jumped on to the platform as he starred bleakly at him as he asked “Are you done boasting?”

Myoni face turned sour as he walked towards the platform; as he approached more and more students gathered around.

As he landed on the platform, Ryuu activated the barrier as he looked at him with a sneer.

They both starred at each other maliciously as they cupped their hands and lightly bowed.

Then right as Myoni looked up he watched Ryuu disappear in a black haze. He looked around violently as he searched for him.

Then right as he took a step, two shadows wrapped around both of his legs, immobilizing him.

As he started to struggle to get free, a black shadow emerged from the ground right in front of him.

He tried to jump back but ended up falling back because of the shadow restraints.

As he fell on his ass he watched Ryuu materialize from the black blob.

*Hahahahaha*

Ryuu threw his head back as he laughed hysterically.

“Man I don’t know why, but for some reason I thought you’d be stronger than Hibiki!” roared Ryuu as he continued to laugh uncontrollably.

Myoni turned as red as a tomato as he leaped to his feet and pounced towards Ryuu.

Ryuu stood motion less as Myoni swung towards his face with a shadow blade.

Then right as it was about to slash the side of his head, a black circle appeared that absorbed not just the impact but the shadow itself; then simultaneously another circle appeared on the other side of his head and the blade came back out.

Myoni was speechless, his shadow blade had just phased right through him!

Each time he slashed at him, the shadows just phased through his body.

After a few more slashes Ryuu vanished in a black fog again, then reappeared right behind him.

“You know the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.” Said Ryuu as he chopped him in the back of the neck with the side of his hand, sending him sprawling to the ground.

As he rolled over he watched as two large shadow arms grew from Ryuu’s back and grabbed on to his ankles lifting him into the air.

Seeing this his eyes turned cold as he yelled viscously “I don’t know where in the hell you learned our techniques, but I’m going to see to it that you never use them again you trash!”

“Your techniques?”

Ryuu couldn’t suppress his anger any more as he lifted Myoni and smashed him on his face.

As he was about to slam him again Myoni used a shadow blade, that shot out of the ground and into the bottom of Ryuu’s foot until it popped out of his thigh right above his knee cap.

Blood sprayed all over the platform as Ryuu staggered back.

Then using his shadow arms he lifted Myoni and slammed him again, then he released him as the shadow arms turned into wings.

As Myoni pulled himself to his knees Ryuu’s vision turned blood red as he flew up as he used his left hand to created a kaze cendrillion and heaved it at Myoni’s back.

Author announcement; Hello beautiful people, lately I have been extremely busy with school and work and things just keep getting more hectic, so unfortunately I am going to be taking a break for a bit. But I will hopefully be back in a few weeks.
