《Broken》Atlas chapter 9.2

“It's named the Carpathia. I built it a few months ago. Shall we go?” Asked Atlas.
Atlas was at odd with fate. He had a one in six chance of ending up with Aurora on this boat ride but he felt like he waved the odds in her favor. Writing their names on a piece of paper and pulling it out of a hat felt like the best way to go about choosing. But it was too late to think about that.
He walked on to the boat. Fifteen Noah were on board the ship for matunace. They often used the ship to hunt for large breeds of fish. Ako said “Hello Atlas, kin of Jane, it has been quite some time since I've seen you”. Aurora had no clue as to what the conversation Lucius and Ako was about. She didn't know the language after all.
Atlas pointed at Aurora and said “This is my friend. I thought it would be a good experience to show her a little more about this world”.
“That is very kind of you Atlas. What location would you like to show her today. And before it slips my mind congratulations, I hope you are both very happy together” Said Ako.
“One last thing, would you mind speaking in English so my friend may understand what we are saying?” Asked Atlas.
“Anything for you” Said Ako in English.
“Aurora would you like to join me in the captain's quarters?” Asked Atlas.
Aurora nodded and took his hand. They walked up as the boat began to move.
“It's powered by a cold fusion reactor” Said Atlas.
“A what?” Asked Aurora.
“It's a fancy engine” Said Atlas.
“What do you think you're doing” Said a demanding voice.
Atlas let a half smile paint his face.
“It seems like we have a stow away” Said Atlas.
The woman had rather one of a kind clothing. It looked like knight armor had been turned into almost casual clothing. Her hair had several small braids and the hat she wore looked perfect on her.

“Well, well, well, looks like you brought a pretty little friend” Said Tabitha.
Her ash colored hair was just above her hips. She had a scar across her eye and her eye looked like that of a snake.
“Maybe I did, what will the child of War do to my friend?” Asked Atlas to spark the conversation.
“Make her walk the plank!” Said Tabitha with a smile.
“How are you” Said Atlas.
“Better, still bored with the civilian life. But it's not like I can just walk to an Ark war” Said Tabitha opening a bottle.
She sat down and placed her bare feet on a chair.
“Aurora this is Tabitha. She fought in the last Ark war” Said Atlas.
“I killed plenty of those filthy Archive soldiers. Hard as hell to kill those filthy bastards. Just wish I would have killed more of them” Said Tabitha.
“You seem different than the others” Said Aurora.
“Well that's because I'm actually from a different group of Noah. I ended up here because I was with his mom as a guard” Said Tabitha.
“I bet she is wondering what the Archive is and what the Arks are” Said Atlas.
He knew it would be awhile before they reached the ref. He thought it would he a good idea to pass the time by teaching her a few things.
“Well listen here the Archive are a bunch of filthy good for nothing criminals. The war crimes they committed are far more than I could count. Good thing they all died. They have this power, we call powers Ark abilities. They got a power that's like a checkpoint. They can retry almost any event hundreds of trillions of times. The only way to win against them is to beat them every time. The Arks are like groups that share a common goal. They all want to become powerful but they all have different methods. The Ark war was fought over many things. The Lord of Archives, that slimy bastard, was powerful. Let me put it like this. He could win a war by doing absolutely nothing. He could play his chances and manage to get you to kill yourself. He was more powerful than any other Lord until the King came along and showed him. That man!” Said Tabitha biting her lips ever so lightly.

“He put all the other Lords to shame. Made them all look like nothing. He managed to kill an Ancient! Can you believe that! He killed the Lord of Archives in his own Citadel too. But enough about him. Got any questions so far?” Asked Tabitha.
“How powerful are you?” Asked Aurora.
“Well ain't that a good one. Well I could kill every human with my bare hands. Even if you were all armed to the teeth. But the problem is I got this knight seal” Said Tabitha pulling her shirt up.
Over her heart sat a dark symbol with strange markings.
“See this here. It makes me just as strong as the rest of the Noah here. I could destroy the entire planet and I don't mean just scratching up the outside I mean literally making this world into nothing but dust” Said Tabitha.
Atlas looked out the window and knew they had at least five minutes to go.
“Wow you really are powerful” Said Aurora.
“Yes I am” Said Tabitha crossing her arms.
“Do you know what kind I have?” Asked Atlas. He pulled off his shirt and revealed a few small patches on his back.
“That's nothing” Scoffed Tabitha without taking a good look at his body.
Atlas tossed his shirt around his body like a towle. Aurora looked at his surprisingly muscular build. He began to use his shirt like a scrub. He wiped off the makeup on his back. Most of his back was black as night. He continued to scrub until half of his arms, lower back, neck and part of his face displayed the mark. Tabitha took a step back. Her face had a slight blush and her eyes were off to the side.
“I'm powerful too” Tabitha pouted.
You're just showing off… well, I can't be that surprised. You are her son.
“Do you know what clarification they are?” Asked Atlas.
“Are you making fun off me?” Tabitha shifted to face away from Atlas.
“Why would I?” Questioned Atlas in a monotone voice.
“Because you brought the girl you like your being a jerk Atl…" Tabitha was interrupted by Atlas as he said “shut up”.
He looked at her and she knew she had done something wrong. She knew it was better not to try and pick a fight with Atlas. With a mind like his, even if it was suppressed by seals was far more than she could hope to rival.
“Sorry” Said Tabitha.
“Mind if I have a word with you” Said Atlas.
She nodded and walked with him to another room.
“She doesn't know my name. We are trying to hide our identities because some people on earth really want me dead” Said Atlas.
“So what should I call you?” Asked Tabitha.
“Just call me Lucius and Levy, Athena” Said Atlas.
“Sorry I didn't know” Said Tabitha.
“Let just go back before she gets suspicious” Said Atlas.
“Wait what should the excuse be?” Asked Tabitha.
“Anything you want” Said Atlas walking back.
Atlas looked out the window and knew they had arrived. He looked at the small island and said “Are you ready? The island is pretty fun”.
“Wow” Said Aurora.
“What is it?” Asked Atlas.
“You called something fun” Said Aurora.

Re-Ordaining of the Chosen
Alea cheerfully hummed as she descended the steps, brimming in upbeat while her colleague, Quarren Leos, shot her a look of skepticism. “So… were you right about him?” he asked doubtfully. She came to a stop for a moment, her humming falling silent before she shook her head, waving her medium length light-blonde hair from side to side. “I was wrong about him.” Quarren raised an eyebrow in confusion at the convoluted response.“But you seem quite happy?” he asked again. “Because I am. But I was wrong about him. He was… so much more than I ever expected.” Alea looked at the sky overhead with a smile. “That boy… no, that man, is amazing. I firmly believe he will come to stand on top of any adversary he faces. He is destined. He is Chosen.” Quarren snorted as he stepped past, shaking his head. “Okay. Each to their own beliefs but you’re sounding like a nutjob. That skinny twig? Everyone calls him a cripple, you know,” he shook his head.“Rumours are always false, Leos,” Alea answered with a disapproving shake of her head. “You wouldn’t know. He is so, so much more.” “I saw him with my own two eyes. I didn’t see anything redeeming,” Quarren rebutted. “Well…” Alea chuckled. “You haven’t seen what I’ve seen.” In the year 917 of the Imperial Calendar, the Great War had just ended between dozens of nations. All were ecstatic when the current generation of the two Archduchy's, after the war, agreed to let their children wed. The excitement was short-lived however when the Aerianne Princess proved to be a dragoness among men but the Kanarian Prince was worse than even mediocre. The Prince disappeared and the wedding was shortly forgotten as society lived on. Until one day the Young Heir of Kanaria returned to Farrien a changed man, bringing demise with him.
