《Broken》Atlas chapter 9.1

“Hmmm, I'll ask her to go on a boat ride” Said Atlas to himself.
He looked at his watch and thought about what would be happening soon. He didn't have forever.
The ocean on this world had fresh water. He remembered the first day on this world with Levy. Atlas asked Havana her name and she hid behind one of the Elders. All the Elders loved and care deeply for his mother and sisters. They cared for all his family. He wondered what the day would hold.
“As long as it makes mom proud of me” Said Atlas.
He felt her roll on top of him.
“Levy you're crushing me” Said Atlas as his body was covered by her bulk.
“Oh potato, I love you” Said Levy.
Atlas sighed knowing she was deep in her world of dreams. He was able to crawl out from underneath her. She grabbed his leg and pulled him back in. She held him like she did to her pillows. She yawned and bit him. He stood still and waited till she lulled herself awake.
I swear I'm gonna get you a muzzle. Well maybe not that would be to much.
“Morning big guy” Said Levy.
Her perfect blonde hair covered most of his body.
“You’re crushing me” Said Atlas.
“Oops sorry” Said Levy sitting up.
“Don't worry about it just don't go all cry baby ‘I'm so sorry’ on me”
He rolled a pill in his hand and ate it. He felt it's cold sting once again. He knew it was the only way. He reached into his backpack and looked at the two artifacts within. One looked like a crystal triangle and the other looked like a small star.
“Hug me” Said Levy wrapping her arms around Atlas.
“You know you don't really have to ask” but you always do…

He walked out of the room and looked out the window. He had flipped a coin and decided on who he would be taking on a boat trip. He throughout it unnecessary to include Havana because they would be spending more than enough time together. He dressed himself and could hear Levy rolling around in the bed. She had insisted it would be the only way to keep the girls away. Atlas didn't mind their company. He had grown to feel like he might miss them if they died. Maybe only for a few hour but nevertheless. He wanted them around for now. He walked outside and sat beneath a tree.
“You truly are your mother's child” Said Azul.
“Thank you” Said Atlas.
“How are you feeling?” Asked Azul.
“I just took my pill, I couldn't feel even if I wanted to” Said Atlas.
Azul nodded and sat down. His long robe engraved with symbols.
“Would you like to know the existence was like before they closed the Ark gates?” Asked Azul.
“Yes, but who are they?” Asked Atlas.
“The Archive, to be exact. The United new age Empire of the Archive” Said Azul talking down the hood worn by all Elder Noah.
“The Archive were once a Major Ark before their collapse. They closed the Ark gates and doomed the Arks to death. The Lord of Archives was the most powerful Lord in all history until the Lord of Nightmare came to be. But even with the power he held he could not stop the Lord of Archives. All dimensions once flowed as one, as you know. They were like a river as one but when they gates closed the flow of time was interrupted. Time has killed many Lord and ended several Arks as well” Said Azul.

“And they hid the Philosopher's stone somewhere in the universe I came from” Said Atlas.
“That’s believed. Do you remember why it is different traveling from this location than others?” Asked Azul.
“Because this world has the same laws of physics and overall nature. Coming here is like placing a fish in another bowl. But other universes are like placing a snowflake in the center of the big bang and expecting it to exist until the day life takes root” Said Atlas.
“Our bodies are far too fragile, but the gates allowed safe passage thanks to you mother” Said Azul.
“Do you regret leaving home to become an elder?” Asked Atlas.
“No, because as far as I know we are the last of the Noah. Death may have already taken the rest of my kind. It brings me hope that we are still living” Said Azul.
“Have a good day Azul” Said Atlas as he stood and walked away.
He walked to the house where the girls would be at. He knocked and the door opened.
“Who is it?” Asked Hex.
“It's me, Lucius” Said Atlas.
“I didn't order a sriper but I'm not complaining” Said Hex.
A striper? What is that? Maybe I should ask. No, Levy told me not to ask about that kind of thing. I wonder why.
“May I come in?” Asked Atlas.
“Only if you have protection” Said Hex tilting her glasses.
Is there some reason why I might need to defend myself?
He could see her wink behind her glasses. He held the knife in his pocket and walked in.
“Do you know where Aurora may be?” Asked Atlas.
“What you don't want to play with me” Said Hex.
Atlas alway had trouble understanding Hex. He was unable to understand her word choice. He assumed it was some sort of play on words. Levy had told him not to try to understand the word play.
“I do but I have a schedule to keep” Said Atlas.
“Mind if I borrow your phone?” Asked Hex.
“What for?” Replied Atlas.
“Just girly things” Replied Hex.
What does she mean? Why does she always talk in riddles.
Atlas reached into his pocket and handed her his phone.
“Thanks” Said Hex with a mischievous giggle.
Atlas walked in and knocked at the door.
“Come in” Said Aurora.
Atlas opened the door and saw Aurora in what seemed to be a swimsuit. “Hey Hex have you seen my…” Aurora paused for a moment.
“Hex is at the door for you want me to retrieve her?” Asked Atlas.
Aurora ran for cover and came back fully dressed a moment later.
“How did you get in?” Asked Aurora.
“Hex let me in. I wanted to ask you if you wanted to go on a boat ride” Said Atlas.
The image of her was stuck in his head. He did his best to keep it away.
“Yeah that sounds like fun” Said Aurora as she began to run her fingers through her hair.
“Just grab an extra pair of clothes” Said Atlas.
He waited outside and saw Hex, Allison, Havana, Morrie, Raven and Scarlet playing with his phone. Aurora walked up to Atlas with a beautiful dress.
“Ready” Said Aurora. They walked to the beach where a massive boat sat waiting.
“It's named the Carpathia. I built it a few months ago. Shall we go?” Asked Atlas.

The General Core {The Sphere}
The life cycle in the Sphere is on the brink of collapse because one of its elements, the Dungeons, have been exploited too much by the mortals. The group who created the Sphere already tried and failed with several modifications, because the original computer-like dungeon cores are too inflexible to handle changing approaches. So they try another type of solution – taking souls from other worlds to try to find a solution before the Sphere Cycle breaks down completely. The General was one of the best soldiers of his world, rising from the ranks of a private through Officer School to the highest command with honors. But when his world faced a zombie apocalypse, even that was not enough and he had to make the ultimate sacrifice. Now he is asked for a repeat performance of planning and controlling a dungeon and its spawns in a world that he knows nothing about… But what is the Sphere really? What is that [Xenotic conversion] he has to go through to even enter the Sphere? Something is really strange and he will have to find out what is going on to get to his promised rewards – whatever they will be. Being a soul in a dungeon core means that the General has better chances of finding hints to the truth about the sphere – a knowledge that would help him survive. And no, the sphere is NOT a virtual reality – the key to its secrets is the place where it was physically constructed (Author’s hint). This is a dungeon core story - but there are quite a number of things that I will do differently than common to those stories. 1) I will describe the floors when they are explored, NOT when they are build. Yes, that will mean it will take longer to get to those parts - but I think describing floors both when they are build and when they are explored destroys quite a lot of chances for suspense when adventurers enter the dungeon. After all, if you as the reader already know where the traps are, then you can't really be surprised when the surfacers encounter them. 2) How the world works (and how not) is an integral part of the story, so it will be explained I'm a world-builder first and the Sphere is NOT a regular world (as hinted in the synopsis above). Things will work differently than in your 08/15 default dungeon core stories - as the General and Gunny have already learned in the second arc (and more of that is already scheduled for the next weeks (July/Aug 2019) when the Sky Arrows continue to explore and evaluate that strange dungeon) If you don't like these premises, then I'm sure you'll find a lot of other Dungeon Core stories more to your liking. But if you are interested in more than "Dungeon builds another room and corridor in medieval earth" and are not afraid of a longer and slower story, then go on. I have two more stories in the Sphere, although they both have lower priority than this one: Shaleen the Wanderer (Adventurer, NSFW) (currently on hold after some chapters) Info's on the Sphere (System Docu and Short Stories) (irregular updates when needed) Current Status reports have been moved to a new discord server: https://discord.gg/EaHkXCfm9y

Grey
Thousands of years ago there was a great breaking of the world. Few alive have the knowledge of why this was necessary, but in the end, the world was split into two. On the one side, a person lived in a world of controlled technology and evolution. On the other, even the basest creatures can alter the world's path. Then came a boy named Icarus, who preferred Fern, and didn't particularly want to be there. This is his story, and how he became a fable told from one village to the next.

Code Scarlet
Activate Code Scarlet! After crashing on a zombie-infested world, raised by the forgotten machines of the past; Flow spends her days scavenging the ruins of the colony in order to construct the ship that would take her far away from the rotting ruins. After an encounter with an unknown and hostile alien race known as fiends, Flow stumbles into a strange vault buried below the colony. Then, accidentally, she awakens an ancient android with no knowledge of herself, fueled only by the desire to destroy the fiends. So begins the intergalactic journey to find the Aigis and continue the androids mission, to complete Code Scarlet. ------------ A tail inspired by sci-fi fantasy settings like Star Wars and Destiny, with elements of Xenosaga and Mecha anime. It's a genre I'm definitely new in compared to my other works but am looking forward to exploring what this world would have to offer. Updates will be slow and inconsistent.

"How do you run the mafia?" he questions, wiping the corner of his mouth. "Well, I ground myself enough to not let the power get to my head, but I let myself get pissed enough to deal with motherfuckers like you," I say, calmly, picking up the hammer from Cameron's hand and making my way back over to the asshole, who flinches when I crouch down in front of him.
