"That's very odd" Said Lucius.

They all screamed and turned to face him. His face reacted in no way at all show he hadn't the slightest emotion.

"My sister asked me to invite you to a study hall. She insisted on it because she thinks it will be beneficial to us all" Said Lucius.

"Yeah that would be nice" Scarlet nervously scratched her head.

"Here is the location" Lucius handed them all a piece of paper. "I wrote it in braille just for you Hex" Lucius added before walking away.

"Is it just me or is he super nice?" Hex somehow looked in his direction.

"He is really nice. Even today during bio he got some kids out of trouble even after they bullied him. Like what kind of person does that?" Scarlet set her head down on the lunch table.

"Nice guys finish last" Hex sipped from her coffee with a mischievous look.

"Well then the supermodel wants to hang out" Scarlet pointed at Aurora with her spoon.

The bell rang and they skipped away from each other.

"Hey I heard that the weird kid is some sort of psychopath and that he almost killed someone before he came here" Grinda sneered at Aurora.

"He is super nice he would never hurt anyone" Aurora started with a hint of anger.

"What? Are you friends with that freak or something?" Replied Grinda.

"Matter of fact I am and he is really nice so just leave him alone"

"Why would you be friends with him? He has those messed up eyes and his girlfriend probably just likes him because he has money or something" Grinda crossed her arms and looked away from Aurora.

"I like his eyes and just so you know she loves him!" Aurora spoke a bit louder that she intended.

She felt a bit of jealousy when she said that. He had someone who loved him and she was beautiful. She felt envy towards his girlfriend. She was so beautiful she could have any person she wanted. She probably has a perfect life too. Everything she could ever want was at her fingertips. Aurora felt terrible for thinking of her than way. School eventually ended and they all meet up.

"Hey everyone so nice to have you all coming with us" Athena spoke with a joy that seeped into everyone.

"Where is Lucius?" Aurora looked around wondering if he had gotten lost.

"He should be here soon" Athena looked around her perfect blonde hair swaying side to side.

Her eyes were absolutely breathtaking to say the least. Everything about her was too perfect.

"Let's go find him" Morrie took the first steps and everyone followed.

They walked around school and couldn't find him. Aurora saw Allison talking to someone or at least following him.

"Hey come back here stop ignoring me!" Yelled Allison.

She was attempting to get Lucius's attention. Athena told everyone to wait. She wanted to see what would happen.

"Listen you, I don't have time for your complaining I have somewhere to go".

She blocked him and Morrie made a passive-aggressive sounding humming.

"I am just asking if you think I look better than Athena. All you have to do is tell me the truth!" Allison stood between Lucius and his destination.

"No, I don't think you're better looking" Lucius spoke in a voice so calm it seemed to soothe Allison.

"She's not prettier than me. I am the hottest girl at school. I know you think about what it would be like to kiss me, don't you. Just admit it you think I'm pretty" Allison had blonde hair and sapphire eyes.

"I think more about killing myself than I think about kissing anyone" Lucius had tone so dead serious it sent chills down her spine.

Allison stood silent for just a moment and hugged him. She said something to Lucius that resulted in him patting her head once she let go.

Aurora knew Allison’s older sister had lost a battle against depression. Her sister had taken her own life two years ago. Very few people knew just how much had pushed her to do so.

"Did you hear her?" Aurora looked at Hex knowing she had.

"Yeah she said don't worry life will get better. Just you wait and see" Hex had a slight smile on her lips.

Lucius walked away and they all ran off to where they were meant to find him. He arrived a minute later.

"What are you all so uptight about" Said Lucius.

"We were worried you got beat up" Morrie whispered in her sleepy voice.

"Thanks for checking up on me then" Said Lucius.

"Let go" Athena took Lucius's hand.

They all walked to the nice part of town and walked right up the mansion. Morrie unlocked the gate and they entered the house. It was spotless. Everything was perfect.

"This place is pretty dark" Hex pretended to look around for a short while.

Everyone except Lucius laughed.

"Let's go to my room" Morrie gestured to the room. They walked up the massive staircase. Athena decided to sprint up the stairs with Hex on her back. "Over here" Morrie opened the door to her room.

The room was decorated with pictures of three different men in a uniform.

"Who are they?" Asked Scarlet.

"My dad's and my brother" Morrie spoke with pride.

"Where are they" Aurora seemed to regret her words once she saw Morrie's face.

"I don't like to talk about it" Morrie looked away from everything.

Lucius hugged Morrie. She smiled and held him back.

Nobody knew why the weird girl had hard times making friends. It was because she was afraid she would lose them. She was still afraid to feel close to someone knowing she could lose them.

Aurora could see the man who seemed to be her brother placing a long sleeve sweater on her. She was still far to small for it to fit her in any way. The picture frame had the words "Good bye" At the bottom. It must have been the last day she saw him.

The girl everyone only avoided because she looked like she hadn't slept in weeks, had stayed up late every night hoping to see her fathers and brother walk home and hold her again. She never stopped hoping. She missed her brother who would read her bedtime stories of brave warriors and noblemen, being one himself. He was her hero and so were her fathers. And if a picture was worth a thousand words she would burn them all just so she could tell them three. Lucius held her for a while and she began to smile.

"So once we are done with our homework let's go out for a movie or something." Said Lucius.

They all got their homework out and Lucius being the person he was, helped everyone finish in minutes.

"So now that we are done how about we go watch a movie." Said Lucius.

"How about we play hide and seek." Said Morrie.

"Yeah." Hex smiled with the look of mischief.

"We can call out when you are the seeker." Said Lucius tapping Hex.

"Let's start, who is going to be it first" Athena looked at Lucius.

"Lucius?” Implied Morrie and Athena.

"Well, you should start hiding" Said Lucius as he began to count down from one hundred.

"I got you" Athena picked Hex up and ran away.

Aurora ran and found a closet to hide in far away. She had run down a long hall and found it. She looked around and saw nothing but clothing. She was fine until the lights went out. Aurora was terrified of the dark. She always had been. She began to panic and reached for the door knob. She gripped it and opened the door. The dark halls filled her heart with dread.

"Hex, Scarlet!" Yelled Aurora out into the empty space.

She was afraid to move. She sat alone crying for a few minutes before something shifted in the darkness. She saw the eye's of a beast. They reflected the dying light in the hall. It moved towards her and she could not move. Her body was frozen by its eyes. She knew it was him but those eyes stripped her bravery away. She no longer cared if it was dark the way those eyes cut into her made the dark seem like nothing.

"Are you hurt?" Said Lucius.

"N-no" Said Aurora wiping her tears away.

"I found everyone else, here's a flashlight I know you don't like the dark" Said Lucius.

Aurora didn't notice she had grabbed his hand.

"You don't have to hold my hand if you don't want to" Said Lucius.

Something made a loud crash, she pressed herself against him and held tight. She felt his hand pat her head and his calm voice say

"I'm here for you don't be afraid".

She didn't feel afraid anymore, she felt strange. She felt like she could be herself. She felt she didn't have to hide herself around him. They eventually arrived at Morrie's room.

"What took you to so long? Were you making out?" Asked Hex.

"Hex!" Aurora squeaked in an angry yet shy tone.

"What? Just asking and can I feel you up Lucius? I promise it's just so I can see your face" Hex gave a wicked smile.

"It's fine with me" Said Lucius.

Aurora couldn't help but feel envy.

Hex walked up to Lucius and he guided her hands to his face. She felt his face for a short while "You feel pretty attractive. If you don't mind can I feel what the rest of you looks like?"

"Go ahead"

Aurora could not believe that he let her. She was angry, but not at Hex. She was mad at Lucius for letting her. She didn't know why she felt that way, she wasn't dating him but she still felt anger mixed with envy.

Hex slowly patted down his body and smiled during every second of it. She lifted his shirt "You didn't tell me you were ripped".

Lucius had a thin yet extremely muscular body. It looked like a bodybuilder had been compressed into a thin defined body. Hex still had not stopped feeling him up. "How even, you're so thin how did you get like this?"

"I work out" Lucius looked over at Morrie and Athena.

"Make out with me if I'm wrong but you're really weak right?" Said Hex wrapping her arms around him. Her lips dangerously close to his.

"I'm actually very weak" Said Lucius.

"Let's go do something else" Morrie pull Hex away from Lucius.

"What are we going to do?" Asked Hex.

"How about we plan a day when we can all go to the beach" Morrie looked over to Athena.

"It's super expensive to go there" Scarlet was looking at the floor.

"I will take care of it for all of you" Said Lucius.

"You're so nice" Athena hugged Lucius.

Scarlet tapped Aurora's shoulder "I don't have any beach clothing" she whispered in a deathly silent voice.

"If any of you don't have beach clothing I will take you shopping" Said Lucius.

Aurora felt like there was no end to his kindness despite seeming like a like a jerk at times. He was mean, but kind in a way. He would always push Athena away when she hugged him. But he would be kind when she looked in any way sad.

"So how about we go on Friday?" Morrie looked at everyone.

"Sounds good" Said everyone else.

"Well we gotta go home" Aurora looked at Hex.

"I can get Jed to take you all home" Said Morrie.

"That would be great" Said Aurora.

"Lucius just so you know I'm available" Said Hex.

Aurora felt envy at the fact Hex could say something like that so easily. She wanted to tell Lucius she had a crush on him but she was afraid. She knew what to do. She felt sad that he didn't remember they had meet. She barely remember but her sister had pictures of that day. Her plan was born. She would tell Scarlet to tell him if she didn't do it herself on Friday. Or she could tell Morrie. They all walked to a car and they were all dropped off one by one. Aurora could not wait and went to sleep the second she got home. She got up one time this day walked to Hex's house. It was her turn.

"Hey baby face," Aurora teased opening the gate "You ready to go?"

"Hey let me just find my cane" Hex felt around for a few moments.

They were walking and found Lucius. He was stumbling towards them. He was in an alleyway. He was covered in blood and had cuts deep in his flesh. He collapsed and lay deathly still. Aurora pulled her phone out and called an ambulance.

"Lucius, Lucius, wake up!" Aurora got down on her knees beside him.

"What's happening!?" Hex began feeling the area with her cane.

"Lucius is hurt really bad" .

He came back to consciousness "She took it" he said in his calm voice.

"That doesn't matter, you're bleeding!"

"She has my book" Said Lucius as a girl walked out of the dark.

She was short with dark brown hair. "Awww that's too bad now your girlfriend has to die" the girl grinned.

"She is not my girlfriend" Said Lucius as he drew something with his blood.

"Wow and I thought I was evil. Anyway tell me how to read this thing" Said the girl.

"How about you go kill yourself and I will think about it" Said Lucius slamming his first.

Smoke covered everything and they were running before they knew it. When they got near school he explained what had happened.

"Don't worry about her, she's just a bitch. The cuts she gave me only last a few minutes. She just likes to mess with me because I'm the only person she likes according to her. It's her way of showing kindness. It's like she wants to be the only person who can hurt me" Said Lucius.

"What is going on exactly" Hex pointed at him with her cane.

"It's my really mean stalker" Said Lucius.

"A stalker?"Aurora was still looking around.

"Well she just wants my book" Said Lucius.

"What is so important about your book?" Hex was facing his detection.

"Nothing, she just thinks it is" Said Lucius as the cuts on his body faded away.

"What the hell is going on?" Aurora still had no idea.

Lucius walked up to her and placed something on her head. He then placed one on Hex.

Aurora didn't know what she was waiting for. She continued to walk to school with Hex. They arrived and started walking to their classes. The teacher was rambling on about poetry and how it was an important part of life. A second later Athena walked in.

"Hey, hi I have some slips to pass out" Said Athena capturing everyone's eyes.

She managed to look more beautiful with every passing day. It irked Aurora that the most attractive person at school only got more beautiful as time passed.

Aurora knew that Lucius would reject her, but she wanted to tell him she liked him anyway. She felt it was like comparing Athena a star going supernova to her a candle flickering off. Even Allison wanted to be with him, even if it was just to prove she was better than Athena.

"Thank you so much Athena" Said the teacher. She handed out the slips to the student council members which included Aurora.

"And Atl..." Athena stopped mid sentence "Lucius said to meet him after school"

She walked out of the room and everyone got back to work.

"What does that freak want with you?" Said Harley.

"Don't call him that" Said Aurora.

"Calm down. And do you know what he wants?"

"I don't know"

"I heard he's a Satan worshiper"

"A what?"

"You know, he prays to the monster thing all those church people hate."

Aurora went back to work and tried to not yell at her. She knew people hated him, some of the teachers did to. She knew just as many kids were afraid of him. With the eyes he had, who wouldn't. She got breakfast and few passed her next class. She then got to lunch with Hex and Scarlet.

"So are you doing anything today?" Said Hex.

"No how about you?" Aurora took a spoon full of pudding.

"No just homework. Maybe we could get help from Lucius" Said Hex.

"He can't" Said Scarlet bright red.

"Why not?" Asked Aurora.

"Well he's taking me shopping"

"Wait you two are going alone?" Said Aurora with overflowing with envy.

"Well yeah, you could call it a date"

Aurora didn't know what to think or say. All she could do is feel jealous about it.

"I hope you to have fun" she sounded more happy than angry.

"Thanks I am super nervous and do you think Athena will be mad?" Said Scarlet.

"Maybe you should ask her" Said Aurora.

"You're right, it's the right thing to do" Said Scarlet. She stood up and walked away.

"Do you like Lucius?" Asked Hex.
