"10/10, best game ever." - A Video Game Website
"I have never played anything like this. I am so moved." - A Second Video Game Website
"This will revolutionize the industry." - A Third Video Game Website
"This game we made is absolutely amazing. You have never played anything like this. It is phenomenal. I guarantee it." - The Director
"Fuck these guys, they blacklisted us." - A Blacklisted Video Game Website
"The story is about this thing, this issue, this really mature issue and the story is about dealing with that. It’s really something." - The Writer
"It’s really controversial. It will get you talking for days, for months. It’s just a big deal." - The Director
"I’m really satisfied with the result. It really pulls you into the world. It let’s you explore, and explore. And talk. Look around a lot. Haha." - The Level Designer
"I wasn’t playing the game, I was experiencing it." - A Tester
"I only wrote like two, maybe three songs for this, but I feel like I really achieved something." - The Musician
"I was expecting there to be a lot more to work on but there wasn’t a whole lot. The game is dead simple. Maybe that was the reason. It felt like there wasn’t much to program. Is it bad to say that?" - The Programmer
"The art I did for the characters, the locations, the objects, the everything. Put detail in the most tiniest things. So much love was put in." - The Artist
"The characters would have such engaging dialogue that you don’t even feel like making any choices or do anything. Now I think about it, this game is linear. But that doesn’t break immersion. No. You won’t even think about it. It’s an art." - The Writer

"There isn’t much real gameplay, is there? I feel like everything was programmed and just stuck that way. The player has no real control except to go from point A to B." - The Programmer
"Video games can be a storytelling device and we took full advantage of it." - The Writer
"Wait, we did?" - The Programmer
"The game doesn’t offer players any choices. We already made the choices for them." - The Director
"That’s even worse than pretending to give them a choice. This is bull --" - The Programmer
"We took full advantage of this artistic medium. It’s probably one of our greatest accomplishments." - The Director
"Full advantage? You took away the very thing that made this --" - The Programmer
"We took away the most frustrating, annoying, garbage parts of what you see in video games -- especially old ones -- and...refined it." - The Director
"You took away what made video games the way it is, you twat!" - The Programmer [programmer position now open]
"We tell the players what to do, where to go, everything. There isn’t even an option to do anything else." - The Level Designer
"You will love this game. You have no choice but to love it... There is no choice." - The Director

PINAN: Refuge
All Haeok wants is for his sisters to be safe. Under Japanese rule, security and dignity are scarcities in Korea; and with the world caught in precarious flux, change will shadow the fight for his family’s future.Still- He looks to the north, and dares to hope that the soil of an ancestral homeland might harbor their dream of refuge. This fiction starts in 1942 Korea, during the final years of both the Japanese Empire and of WWII. Out of the necessity of conveying the reality of this time and place to the best of my (limited) ability, there WILL be explicit descriptions of traumatic events for characters. Reader discretion is highly advised. That being said, I hope you enjoy!
