《Dream Theater》Chapter 32 The Inquisition

Pxan adapted far too quickly to the job. It was a job like another with him. The archivist work had prepared him for the study, the police for capturing people and the experiences of his childhood to killing people. He was prepared to do anything for the inquisition if that hurt cultist.
His new workplace was an old library frequented by few people, all inquisitors obliviously. People there talked little, often they didn’t want their face to be seen. They didn’t exchange names. “The less one knows the better is it” was one rule of the inquisition. The only thing that was clear to him was who was his boss and who could report in case of particular problems. Idis was a lord inquisitor, his clothes were bright red and he always wore long scarfs. He was very old and looked very fragile, he had always a pistol and a rifle with him, not that Pxan ever saw him in combat he saw him only a few times a month to report his work. When he did this he was always working on documents and files, sometimes drawing.
Pxan noticing his…’ weird’ art style asked him something unrelated >

That was the person who reported to. His tasks and missions were given him in closed files in a drawer of his desk in the library.
The person to contact in case of emergency was Lhyps. Who apparently was not only captain but also Lord inquisitor.
How strange life can be. One day you are in the slums and the other you are an inquisitor.
But things weren’t so easy as he thought. He was only an inquisitor not a lord inquisitor and his tasks were still at a novice level. Deliver that, do this, sign this file, move that box over there. He often wondered what he was supposed to do once he got the hang of the job.
Following Idis example he searched for something to do and so begun wondering for the street seeking something that would catch his attention.
