You guys probably all know what's going to happen after reading the title. I'm putting this story into an indefinite hiatus. I started with an idea in my head, but I was neither prepared nor skilled enough to succesfully materialize that idea. I'm an amateur, no doubt about it.
I have other ideas floating around in my head that I'd like to try. Coming up with ideas is a lot easier than working on it, however. Thankfully, I've gotten a lot of experience from this! But, I still have a lot to learn. If I do come back to work on The Genius Manipulator, I'm probably going to have to tear it all down and start over.
I really appreciate everyone who has read my story and to everyone who has given me their feedback and critiques. Without you guys, I'd never be able to improve and see my mistakes.

07/11/2022 Update: We're currently at the end of the 7th arc, out of 10. My plan is to continue to publish a chapter at least 4-5x a week for the next few months. Synopsis: Hawkin found his place in the world, far from humans and monsters. He abandoned the adventuring life long ago and left civilization, opting for peace and isolation instead. After ten years out in the northern forests, he befriends a strange creature and his life changes. A traveling trio of monks then show up in Hawkin's woods and share with him the best beer he's ever had. After that beer, Hawkin wants to do nothing but accept the brewer's path and brew. This story is intended to be slow and easy. It involves a slow progression of power and brewing more powerful beers. There is occasional conflict.
