absorbing and gathering the spiritual energy through my soul was easy

all I had to do especially since I began to chant was chant and concentrate

and somehow I would enter a brilliant multicolour space

it was as if I was right in the middle of a painting that looked like

the inside of an aquarium with various fishes swimming by, these fishes were like small stars floating around

and I would call them to me and it did not matter what colour they were as soon as it entered me

well how do you describe the feeling that creeps up on you when you see a child take its first step

the feeling you have when you miraculously pass a test you did not study for

the feeling that comes when you do something good for someone by helping them

it felt like I was living in a world without any troubles

amid this sea, I could feel something pulling at me from the deep blue

something warm and gentle brought out happy emotions from my soul

like a mother calling her child for dinner

the feeling of safety and security that came from this mediation made me happy and relaxed

and without any issue, I was able to gather it in a mystical place right near my stomach

and when I channel the spiritual energy and circulated throughout my body

I could feel sensations flowing throughout my body, my muscles, my skin, my veins,

like blood being injected into me

like a person's heartbeat being pumped into one's chest

it was difficult to circulate the energy throughout my body

as Erebus had taught me because I had to

I would separate the spiritual energy and elemental energy through the golden aura that was provided by the golden orchid

I would just imagine the golden hue merging with the stream of energy pouring into me

and the one stream would divide into two streams of flowing energy

one was multicolour and the other whitish-blue

the multicolour energy would pass through my body my muscles, my skin, my veins, my blood, my bones and my organs and then be realised by into the environment

and I had to guide the thin whitish-blue energy into my very soul

at first, I barely understood how to guide something from the material world to my soul

but as Lady Tong had taught me imagination and visualisation was a huge part of my way of spiritual cultivation

I had to imagine my soul give shape to it and locate in my body

I imagined mine was a small blue ball floating right above my spine

and I would guide the spiritual energy stream there

at first, I had imagined it to be the size of. tennis ball but as soon as the stream touched the ball it would disperse

so on the advice of Erebus, I decreased the size of the ball but no matter how small I would imagine it to be it would disperse only when I imagined it just be a dot dit not disperse

It had taken me a long time to increase the size of the ball to that of an almond but now it was the size of a large marble

Silver had assured me that size did not matter as the energy was in a gaseous state only when it was converted into the liquid a tad would size matter

I had to absorb gather and compress the energy from gaseous state to solid star to reach the core state the third grade of cultivation

Erebus had told no matter what type of path of practice the cultivators choose core formation was a common step is was only after that the paths divert into the million ways it can

and only after reaching the core state to will be a real practitioner who has embarked for the embrace of the path of the universe

I was amidst of my meditations when suddenly a set feminine voice interrupted me

"I'm sorry to cut this phase of your training short, Child of wrath, but it looks as though we have run out of time"

"the scripts and runes that guard this place are falling apart, so power is flowing into the reverse direction, and space is crumbling and collapsing into itself. The bad news is, we don't have long before you have to leave.” my spirits soared.

I would finally be able to leave this place my entire body tensed up in sentiment but my face remained neutral as I did not want to depict I was ungrateful

“But don't worry your training through us is almost complete, but we have to hurry so follow me"

the owl then flew up and began to hover in the air which totally seemed unnatural

I followed slowly behind the bird on foot not wanting to get lost and miss the chance to leave this place

after some time I saw the simulate of silver and Erebus standing next to a pool filled with silver slimy liquid maybe mercury

as I neared the pool with lady Tong right beside me hovering like my personal flying robot

I began to feel nervous

as I felt like my heart rate sped up

as I felt like every part of my body was trembling violently and I was sweating heavily

as I felt my hair beginning to fall down and tickling my neck

as my throat dried up as I tried to swallow the bile rising within me

what was wrong with me?

As I approached the pool the owl landed right in Next to Silver and Erebus who were grinning at me from ear to ear

As I stood there looking at them I began to panic even more

but before I could bolt out

"Are you ready child of wrath?" lady Tong asked in her soft voice

"ready for what?" I was feeling even more panicked now

, I began to sweat profusely and tremble as I looked back at the others

they all seemed excited as well

and the more anxious I became the more excited they got

"To create your new self, Child of wrath " lady Tong said softly as she reached forward with her soft wings

"New self?"

I questioned

“Erebus will you be so kind to explain," the lady Tong said as she wrapped me in her soft warm wings comforting me in a relaxing embrace

Erebus. looked annoyed at that but before he could begin to speak

silver happy jumped and spoke

"Listen here boyo you have learned how to cultivate your soul but You're only halfway through pushing spiritual energy channels through your entire body,

so if you ever want to reach the heights of this path you need to create spiritual veins to cultivate but you have a mortal body without any meridians much less spiritual veins so we have to forge you a new body to create your new self"

The whole place was silent

I was stunned

I had never considered myself a genius but I never thought I was a normal mortal

what the hell

I thought since I was reincarnated main charter I would have an unmitigated talent for cultivation

otherwise what use was it being reborn in this world

now I was more worried I knew of the cultivation stages from the sect library

the Daoist cultivators

they absorb and refine the energy that exists between the world called qi (there are different types of qi most common are origin qi, demonic qi, yin qi yang qi, chaos qi etc.) they require a spirit root to sense the energy without one it is impossible to sense it and cultivate they have stages

1> Qi condensation- in this stage cultivators would absorb and refine the qi from the air through breathing, qi is gas form and circulated throughout the body through mental effort

2> Foundation establishment-in qi condensation the qi is absorbed and refined for personal use in this stage qi is compressed and liquefied and is circulated to the body in the process of transforming the entire body for better absorption, through improvement to the body spiritual conscientious is developed.

3> Core formation- the cultivator merges their spiritual consciousness and liquid qi and then purify the qi into the solid structure to establish the core the cultivator merges his root, spiritually conscious and qi into the core which point they will go under heavenly tribulation and wind tribulation that purify the qi and shape the core into a smooth round shape (Daoist have a golden core, demonic creatures and demonic human have black)

4> Nascent soul- the core formation-level expert sense and nurture their soul through the qi of the core they can transform their soul from non-corporeal to corporeal. When the soul transforms the cultivator will go through heavenly tribulation that varies from the quality of the nascent soul

5> Nascent divinity- the cultivators merge the gold core and the new corporal soul to create a divine/immortal soul there are 3 methods to attain an immortal by severing the nascent soul into 5 parts and merging them one by one this method is the most common but such souls are very compared to others and the tribulation with each merge is relatively weak but the requirement for qi is enormous second method is to directly merge the two this cause the tribulation to come in 9 parts with each much stronger the last this soul is very strong as is the cultivator, the third is to take a divine spark of a god and merge it without tribulation but because of the rarity of the spark this method is very rare among the cultivator, this state is called ascension by low-level monks as a cultivator of this level leave the plan and venture into the starry sea(space), a cultivator who fails the tribulation but survives is called half immortal or earth immortal.

beyond this, there was no other information available at the sect so I sort of understood what Erebus was talking about

again I was confused why were we running out of time and a few days how long have I been here and how many days has passed since I first arrived?

"You are already living in the realm of spirits as you are cultivating your soul before you have your core, therefore with this body you will be able to see spirits which are different than humans, moreover the spiritual energy of your soul would grow along with the body allowing you more power than ever before but we believe that this will be very beneficial to you, we want to help you develop your power but if you don't want this body there are others but none that would grow with you as this one would

You would need the feed many spiritual items go the other bodies for them to advance but this body will not need anything else at all"

I thought about it for a while and for the first time in years, I was not too excited to have a new body but at the same time not too unhappy to lose my current one.

It did not really matter to me if I was free of all the burdens of the current body and go to the more pleasant world of the spirits, only the fact that I understood less than one percent gave me pause but I did not wait for long
